Movie is set in the current year

>movie is set in the current year
>characters still use old Nokia bricks and fliphones

Just like in real life. I saw a guy on the train the other day using an old brick. He also had a newspaper.

>It's a gritty realistic lived in environment

I still use a Nokia 6310. What's your point?

I still don't understand how that photoshoot even exists; the guy is a literal Chad dentist with a roid body yet has the most fucked up haircut of all times and decides to use it for publicity. It makes no sense.

...

lmao look at this guy

pretty sure its hair implants

probably spikes it to make it look like theres more of it

I'm still going strong with this

>Character is using a generic smartphone
>ringtone is the iPhone xylophone

he has a Gal Gadot skull. any haircut would look like shit on him.

Then he should just go Statham/Johnny Sins mode.

that means the director is an old boomer.

once boomers die off, movies will show social interaction more true to form. half of the dialogue will be replaced with Snapchat stories and such.

>mid 2000s movie
>character finishes compromising phone call
>break flip phone in half and throw the pieces in different directions

He can't keep getting away with it

oh shit!
when did the JUST guy became a Dentist??!

>current year move
>charachter finishes compromising phone call
>his samsung smartphone explodes

Some people studied teeth, he went to teeth

...

Breaking Bad used the flip phones purely for the visual of snapping them in half and binning them

Pretty cool

do people really not use flip phones anymore?

what's up with those abs? are they real? helooks like an action figure

>operator

>half of the dialogue will be replaced with Snapchat stories and such.
Fuck. that. shit.

Where the fuck have you been for the past 10 years? Just out of prison?

they already tried to do that with unfriended.

I think they're still popular in Japan.

less and less, but these old phones will never disppear completely.

>only need charging once a week
>indestructible
>dirt cheap

topkek, are you 14?
there are loads of people who use these phones deliberately, because of what they provide that smartphones never will. sometimes basic and simple beats complex and performant.

I don't care how much technologies progresses, a smartphone will always be more expensive than a regular cell. So anyone, strapped for cash, or needing a disposable phone (ex:burners) will pick a flip-phone.

>half of the dialogue will be replaced with Snapchat stories and such
>there has never been remote conversation devices before internet.
Half of the text messages and mails maybe, social interactions still happen mostly face to face, so the type of phone or apps won't really matter

tl;dr; Year is 2017, we still use pencils

drug dealers and sicarios do

>t. 90s kid that hasn't realized he's the old out-of-touch one now

Actually it's really useful if you don't want to be traced or monitored. Smartphones are dangerous to your privacy. It's all but mandatory to use old phones if you are a criminal as well.
