Movie subtly promotes seeking therapy by a psychologist

>movie subtly promotes seeking therapy by a psychologist

Anyone else notice that in a lot of movies and tv shows these days the MC and other characters always goes to see a therapist or psychologist?

...

Talking to people can be good for you, OP. Despite the popular myth, therapists and psychologists often only prescribe meds as a last resort. Meds are actually only for mentally ill people, they aren't to turn you into a zombie.

>character feels sick
>goes to see a doctor
I BET IT WAS THE JEWS

All memeing aside, if you ever see a psychologist for any reason you are seriously harming your future ambitions. For the rest of your life you will live with that mark, and it could have you disqualified somewhere down the track for job opportunities, positions of leadership, gun licenses etc etc. Don't ever do it.

100% bullshit. No one keeps "records" of you until you commit a crime. Then if therapy is mandated it's on file somewhere.

That's entirely bullshit.

I see

You're completely within your right to believe that.

How will you answer if you are asked, years from now, perhaps in an interview or an official document, whether you have ever sought therapy? It's a very common screener for mental health liabilities. Your options are lie, or tell the truth: neither of them are particularly good.

Name one movie that therapy works
Hard mode: name one horror

It's a cliche that everyone in Hollywood has a therapist, it's also probably true

It's so they can expose the characters thoughts and motives without introducing a cheesy monologue voiceover or some shit.

Pretty sure there are laws preventing asking that question, at least in job interviews.

>Despite the popular myth, therapists and psychologists often only prescribe meds as a last resort
ahahahahaha

1. I'm pretty sure they can't legally ask that where I live.
2. No one ask that anyway, so point 1 is trivial I guess.
3. I would just lie, anyway. There's literally no way for them to check.

>psychologists prescribe meds
You know how I can tell you don't know what you're talking about?

You better hope there isn't. You also better hope you're a convincing liar.

Is it because you're a psychologist yourself shilling for your scam industry?

> You also better hope you're a convincing liar
>"have you ever sought therapy?"
>"no"
Probably not that hard

I went to a psychiatrist for a small period and it never gave me problems afterwards, maybe it depends on the country

You sound like you've never actually had a job interview.

Psychologists don't prescribe meds. Psychiatrists do.

So much misinformation

and both of these industries owned by the jew!

Heh. We made a rhyme together.

Job interviews in my area of work aren't quite like the job interview you had with mcdonalds.

There's nowhere in the united states where you can discriminate against someone for a disability, and mental health falls under that. The only place where they would ask you that is in a bar exam to become a lawyer and I guarantee if you hand over your mental health files for no reason it's an instant fail.

Do they have a baseline test where they study your emotional reaction after asking if you have ever sought therapy?

>t. neet

>two years ago
>wanted to go to help
>worry about other people knowing
>worry that the shrink might exploit my weakness and give me drugs and declared I am unfit to mind my own business
Finally got kicked out of school

>one year ago
>felt funny in my teeth
>wanted to go to dentist but fear to hear the truth
Have to do three root canals by the time one tooth cracked due to cavity

The world will be very different in 10 years, there will be no more secrets. Kevin and Harvey wish it were 10 years ago.

Its a lazy way of developing a character or moving the story along. Instead of having to demonstrate the characters personality and development, you can have a therapist just state what the problem is with their personality and how they should fix it.

stop being a paranoid cuck and caring what people think

>be a quiet autistic teenager
>parents not happy about this so they send me to a psychoanalyst, four sessions a week
>psychoanalyst makes no attempt at initiating conversation so we sit there for 40 minutes every time just waiting to leave
>call him out on it once, he gives me a bullshit reply and doesn't change his ways
>time spent at this guy's office could have been spent actually socialising with friends, making me more and more frustrated as the sessions went on
>Ended up as a much worse person at the end of it

What a load of fucking dogshit those two years were
And my parents were paying £60 a session for it

That's no surprise. Psychoanalysts are universally full of shit. Psychology may not be the most respectable science, but it is at least evidence-based and works with falsifiable theories.

We can all agree that thereby is a liberal plot to discredit people as paranoid or schizophrenic f they go agianst the narrative.

MOvie subtle promotes suicide

People are bad mkay

you take that back now!
