love the soundtrack and the movie

...

and other films by this great man.

...

Good music but not very good films. Both suffer from awkward misplaced silly comedy which undoes all the angst.

Kim Jee-Won is a meme director, and I hope he doesn't make more films.

this movie is a 10/10
and this one as well

based koreans, how the fuck are they so good at making thrillers?

...

...

I finally got a hold of memories on dvd and found out that was scratched to shit and won't play the first 40 minutes. I was less than pleased.

Any similiar shit to this one?

I loved chaser and wailing, does this match up to them?
Zodiac

Yes!

>Zodiac
Yeah, Seven, Zodiac... watched these famous western movies. Any other hidden Asian kino i've missed?

...

Depends on what you mean by hidden. I don't really know any asian flicks like Memories but i have enjoyed a lot of Korean movies, which ones have you seen?

Cheers, i'll give it a look then.

...

This movie was top tier kino and I feel comfortable recommending it to anyone

Confessions (2010)

look for it online, it's fairly easy to find a sub

...

Crying fist

...

Isn't this the movie about two fagots?

Good movie lads

I rec to all of you to watch Rebels of the Neon God

I discovered Korea/Hong Kong cinema about 2 years ago but so far i have only watched entry level shit like Oldoy, i Saw the devil, Memories of murder etc..

No

Mother (2009)

>That scene when the government workers find him

I'm mad

Ching Chong II : The Reckoning (2003)

Recently picked it up, how does it compare to his other works?

JSA
Tokyo Sonata

t.onlywatchdubbedandmuricamovies

I found it a bit boring

Shame

user who posted this. Can you explain the story to me? I've seen it twice now but I'm always dumbfounded but the ending and how the entire story connects

can say this, to me, is the most down to earth portrayal of a vampire. The inner conflict, the suffering... Such an amazing film!

But Oldboy and sympathy for Mr vengeance is one of my favorite

I prefer seeing people that look like me and not slanty eyed freaks who speak in ching chong voices. You're all a bunch of degenrate commies

>no one has posted old school John Woo

Sounds intresting enough, there aren't enough good vampire flicks these days.

I've only watched it once 5 years ago, remember loving it, can't remember much of the story.

Any good way of watching this? I really loved black coal thin ice and I cant find this anywhere

Anyone seen this?

Idc about what anyone says, first Ong Bak is a great fighting movie

Live action kino. Nobody except me has probably watched it.

This one is worth a watch

I'd also recommend Park Chan-wook's only English language movie, Stoker, which is a very interesting twist on the vampire movie,
as I'm a big fan of Chan-wook Park. The guy could film my mother taking a 2 and 1/2 hour dump and I'd probably watch it. The film isn't bad, it's not on par with the Vengeance trilogy, but it isn't terrible. Looks great, some fine performances, story was okay. I think if you enjoy his style you'll probably enjoy the film

My biggest problem with it is that the girl was nearly not hot enough for him to pretty much give his life for her

Was South Korea poor during the 80s? Just watched Memories of Murder and shit looks rural.

>"A Taxi Driver" is the fifth-highest-grossing domestic film of all time in South Korea
Well fuck il definitely be checking it out asap

Forgot about that movie, what an amazing one

I stopped at an hour. Felt like nothing was happening. Will probably finish it sometime.

might be the only romance movie in the world i enjoyed and was hoping for them to be together

absolute kino

...

...

>the superior die hard version

I've seen stoker, thought it was decent, never really thought of it as a vampire movie though
I've enjoyed Park's movies quite a bit so far, espescially mr vengance.

absolute kino

yeah
i hear there's still a p big gap between seoul and the rural areas too

this movie was unnecessarily spooky. it was like the writer wrote a drama but the director wanted a horror movie.

Great acting, and a visually beautiful movie

Loved pic releated jap shit
Also korean movies lately have beengreat
New tv series - Signal

...

For whatever reason I've never felt more miserable at the end of a movie than this one.

"I just wanna hug you"

always cracks me up how fucking big the head is on that guy top right

hsi head is fucking MASSIVE

Pic related. Or all about lily chou chou and hanging gardens

Thats why its kino user

you mean the woman? or what?

its great desu. Not very serious. The real title is much better

What's the real title?

Literally one of the best action movies ever

A lot of edge in this thread.

'Going to the end' in a sense like going all out or with no limits. It suits the movie more than 'A hard day'

Shame the sequel was a piece of shit.

It's actually called A hard day.

Post your angle faggot

it wasnt as good as teh first one, but it wasnt so bad either

Then gtfo

I just don't get why in all of the Asian cinema people here only watch the dark and violent films.

Not as good as Oldboy or Handmaiden.
I'd say 7/10
Pretty disturbing film tho.

Because they are pretty good at those

My latest watched movies. Judge me
>Cart
5/10. nothing new
>Remember you
6/10. forgetable
>Phantom detective
7,5/10. fresh for sure
>Azooma
6/10. low budget and you feel it
>Fair love
akward/10. akward
>Runway cop
6/10. generic police comedy
>Petal
kino/10. KINO
>The truth beneath
7/10. just good

It's most thriller / drama user, they are good at it, i myself never watched a romance or comedy from Asians so I'm suspect to talk

Chrime thrillers is Korea's bread and butter

one of my favourites. Comparable to The death becomes her or whatever it was called

bacause you are a pussy

There are also other films to watch. If I had to compare the two The Advocate: A Missing Body is better than A hard day.

...

>the distribuitor of this movie is literally called "Kino International"

we are not talking about movies for adults

I'd show her some Norwegian wood :DDDDDD

The Unjust. People who unironically find this "hard to follow" or confusing are fucking brainlets.

...

fucked up but good

...

o shit this looks sweg
