You tricked me into watching this trash now you have to explain the ending.
>last two episodes of the show cuts to random flashing ""deep"" nonsense that make no sense >nothing about SERN, nothing about the third impact >no explanation at all What is this shit?
Jaxson Murphy
...
Xavier Edwards
You do realize that was the 3rd impact right?
Why am I replying?
Jaxon Howard
...
Nathan Williams
Why do you think they've redone the ending like 5 times now
Eva is shit go back to
Daniel Garcia
>last two episodes of the show cuts to random flashing ""deep"" nonsense that make no sense >nothing about SERN, nothing about the third impact >no explanation at all
Blake Thomas
why is it that people on Sup Forums are so quick to angrily dismiss anything they don't understand as nonsense?
Is it so that they don't have to feel stupid about their inability to grasp something? Or are they just plebs/philistines with shit taste?
Carter Miller
Its not deep its made by an extremely autistic man even by jap standards The only thing you care about is waifus and even then there isnt much there. Just cute girls like every other anime
Levi Cox
>Is it so that they don't have to feel stupid about their inability to grasp something? Or are they just plebs/philistines with shit taste?
Onr and the same
Brayden Richardson
His post is clearly entry level bait
Henry Hughes
>SERN Isn't that from steins gate? You mean SEELE
Joseph Martinez
You still have yet to see the ending, you idiot.
Lucas Bell
Evangelion is overrated as shit
The opening is nice though
Hudson Walker
Why was asuka sick at the end of eoe?
Ethan Wilson
I was 15 when I first watched Eva and even than I wasn't so stupid that I didn't get the ending.
Noah Allen
The congratulations ending is the metaphorical ending where Shinji gets over his depression and accepts he's an individual worthy of love and self-love and inherent value.
Is the literal ending where the Third Impact happens.
Aiden Davis
Was he strangling her because it was sort of a continuation of him strangling her in Instrumentality? During Instrumentality, did Asuka see that Shinji just wanted to fuck her? And that's why she sort of taunted him? If so, what did Shinji see of Asuka? What did Asuka think of him? Or did he just get a taste of her mother issues, and they weren't fully gooped?
Anthony Thompson
>tfw even a faggot like Shinji can learn to love himself and I still can't. Sad! inb4
Cooper Price
It's a nice story about someone who manages to get over depression and helped me cope with it somewhat. I know EVA is kind of a meme at this point but I would recommend the TV run and skipping EoE to anyone who's dealing with depression.
William Cox
To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Neon genesis Evangelion. The theme exploration is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of the psychology of pubescent children most of the ideas will go over a typical viewer’s head. There’s also Shinji’s nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterization- his personal philosophy draws heavily from J. D. Salinger's literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these themes, to realise that they’re not just interesting- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike NGE truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the meaning in Shinji’s existential catchphrase “I mustn't run away," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev’s Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Hideaki Anno's genius story telling unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them.

>skipping EoE >when the ending literally ends with Shinji giving humanity a second chance It's a extremely heartwarming ending provided you're not a brainlet.
Nicholas Jones
It's like you missed the point I was making on purpose. Overcoming depressing isn't about giving everyone else a second chance, it's just about you.
Aiden Hall
>Shinji accepts he's an individual worthy of love and self-love and inherent value
lol just b urself bro
Eli Butler
>I was the angel all along
Camden Martin
Evangelion is only a meme when we shitpost about it, it's still bretty good stuff, visuals are nice, story is good, characters are bearable for weaboo garbage standards. Why you would recommend skipping the movie is really beyond me though, it's the only good reason for watching the serie in the first place. If your depression is so fucking bad that you are litterally shaking if a movie is talking about it, it's probably because you're a fucking pussy in the first place.
EoE has the best fucking scenes of the entire run and not watching it is having no closure for any story aside from Shinji's (and even then, you still miss half of it). Don't listen to this faggot and watch the goddamn movie.
Zachary Scott
Whatch the end of evangelion.
Parker Turner
EoE is literally made for brainlets who didn't understand the TV ending.
Adam Bennett
do you have a single fact to back that up?
Gavin Carter
All the scenes where Anno is being spiteful towards the people complaining about it, the people who just want to waifu asuka/rei and shallow otaku culture in general?
Luis Wood
>normie trying to /understand/ watch some "explained" videos on youtube
Juan Taylor
So what ? TV series ending has no closure for Asuka, it has only a halfassed one for Misato, and it doesn't have anything to say about any other character of the serie. EoE has all of this in the best scenes of the entire serie.
And why the fact that it goes into further details about the TV ending would be a bad thing again ? Because you would rather jackoff to the fact that you understood the serie without the movie than watching it ? What the fuck kind of stupidity is that ?
Julian Campbell
>TV series ending has no closure for Asuka Good, it was never about Asuka. The show is about Shinji, the other characters don't matter.
Landon Richardson
That is what's happening with Shinii's mind during the third impact. Watch End of Evangelion for further details.
Christian Moore
continuation of the kitchen scene in that he's lashing out against perceived rejection/out of fear of rejection
Samuel Adams
> The show is about Shinji alone
Sure, whatever you say. But even if that was true when the protagonist is boring and the side characters are interesting, I want to see the end of their stories too. If you don't, well too bad for you I suppose.
Leo Edwards
You wanted something it wasn't offering then. Not everything is made for your personal enjoyment.
Hudson Collins
Since I saw pretty much what I wanted to see in EoE, and you apparently didn't, I have no idea what the fuck you are even saying anymore. EoE wasn't made for your personnal enjyment according to your own words, if you have that much of a problem with people liking it find something else to calm your autism, I don't know.
Nathaniel Foster
EoE was literally made to make fun of people like you.
Sebastian Bell
right
Noah Harris
the irony is palpable
Nathan Parker
>makes fun of people who jerk off to asuka in the first 5 minutes
Jace James
> being insecure enough to be affected by the jokes of a depressed weaboo sucks to be you
Luis Cooper
>not jerking off to her right now
Jordan Ortiz
the scene makes perfect sense in context of the characters and overall message of communication and fear, resorting to this decoder-ring style meta reading limits your ability to really get much out of the series (or really any series)
Chase Hughes
>watching eva for the plot
Ryder Martin
These memes are great
Asher Barnes
>2017 >people are still arguing about eva online
i swear itll be the year 3245 and some AI will be shitposting on jupiter about how rei sucks
Evan Anderson
Incidentally I'm marathoning it now. Currently on ep 17. I can tell already that unless it's just staight up shit from now on I'm going to like it.
Easton Young
17 is legit the turning point of the series. Every episode afterward is a banger, it just keeps building into this hyper-depressing crescendo
Noah King
Rebuild is the only canon
Gabriel Turner
rebuild is a soulless cash grab that only has good animation 50% of the time.
Jacob Ward
Don't read too much into it. Just watch it to understand the porn.
