Is there more movies like Possession and The Devils? That mixes arthouse and exploitation?

Spring Breakers is pretty much exploitation

Repulsion

Funeral Parade of Roses

The Devil and the Nun

School of the Holy Beast

Will we ever get an official bluray release of The Devils? :'(

If ever, probably not with the censored bone dildo scene.

The filmography of Roy Stuart

There's plenty but in horror arthouse usually means boring.

The Beast

Outside of the truly bizarre inter-species sex scenes with the posthumous beast I found this movie to be quite boring.

WR Mysteries of the Organism, Sweet Movie, probably Dasies and other Serbian Black Wave films.

How is Daisies exploitation?

So you want self-indulgent European pornography?

Just kill me now

He was confused because it's Czechoslovakian and was made around the time WR and Sweet Movie was made (by a Yugoslavian director), and they were all released in the U.S. by Criterion.

Yeah I was going to ask why he's lumping CNW with YBW

>That mixes arthouse and exploitation?
That's basically Darren Aronofsky's whole thing

How is Possession "exploitation"?
Might was well name the rest of the Apartment trilogy: Rosemary's Baby, and The Tenant. All similar to Possession, although I haven't seen The Devils. I also feel like some of Lynch's films are similar.

Anyway, why does no one discuss the religious aspects of Possession? I've read a couple reviews, and even they glance over it.

In fact I don't even have these releases (I've only bought Daisies but it hasn't arrived it yet) because there's no criterion here. I've only said those movies because of what I heard about them. I was sure about the Makavejev ones, but not about Daisies.

School of the Holy Beast is one of the most beautiful exploitation films ever made.

YBW is more exploitative than CNW, that's why I reccomended them, but I wasn't trying to compare them.

Diable

>Anyway, why does no one discuss the religious aspects of Possession?

Gabriel AMorth, the Vatican's top exorcist, actually called it one of the more accurate films about demonic possession.

Interesting (more so that the Vatican has an exorcist in the first place, given the time and the age). But I meant more of the explicit God symbolism, e.g. Heinrich in white, discussing God many in dialog, his mother, etc.

>one of the more accurate films about demonic possession

>given the time and the age

Possession has been going on for centuries, it doesn't just stop because of "le current year".

go back to /x/ retard

>he's serious

I posted an article by a board-certified psychiatrist. What have you cunts done besides post screencaps from faggy arthouse schlock?

>But I meant more of the explicit God symbolism, e.g. Heinrich in white, discussing God many in dialog, his mother, etc.

The dialogue in the film was superficial window dressing without any real substance.

The first 3 Female Prisoner Scorpion films.

>watch The Devils
Wtf i hate Catholocism now

Good goy.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre

I might have a few more to add
>The Sailor Who Fell From Grace With the Sea
>Southland Tales
>Jubilee
Anybody else like these ones? The first in particular sounds like what OP's after.

Vampyros Lesbos, kid.
