You mean korra: the nonstop whining continues thread?

Hey it's everyone that would make a better protagonist then Korra.

>korra 'killed' off all the previous avatars in op's pic

Well it's not like the nonstop whining isn't justified.

Korra was a mistake.

Reminder than Korra lost the connection to all those past lives

So we can all agree that this guy did nothing wrong, right?
I mean let's take a look at his actions:
>1. Wanted to spread the superior Fire-Nation culture, technology, and government to the rest of the world.
>2. Oversaw the industrial revolution that was the backbone of all the cool shit that was available in LoK.
>3. Look at all of the empowered women he employs; he's egalitarian as fuck.
>4. Brought down Ba Sing Say, an Orwellian city that was a nightmare of people who lived in it.
>5. Seriously, remember that one episode where Aang ripped off Footloose? The public education the children of the Fire Nation received was unlike anything that was available in any other part of the world.
>6. He fought to secure the existence of his people and a future for fire-bender children.

>post doesn't say korra once
Nice try user but we don't live in that world any more

He planned to burn everything to ash and kill countless innocents. Plus all the tyranny under his rule, raising a monster child in Azula. Even if you ignore all the moral things he did wrong he still lost his grasp of the world to a couple of old farts and some kids so he did something wrong there

>korra disconnected from all her past lived
>even kyoshi
>no more kyoshi in the future
I love korra but ffs

Reminder that all of the past lives were pretty much fuck-ups like Korra, that Aang eventually needed advice from a random Spirit Turtle, and that getting advice from yourself is overrated.

Any scans for pic related?

Only kuruk and maybe roku were really a fuckup, yangchen and kyoshi did pretty good

>kyoshi did pretty good
She allowed a conqueror to fuck up an entire continent and only did anything when he came knocking at her doorstep.

And even then, Kyoshi's answer was to take Kyoshi peninsula and push it somewhere else rather than to fight the threat.

Woah user. I really don't know where to begin. The Firelord didn't try to genocide the world, that's a lie. Can't believe everything that Tenzin said.

Zuko: So you want my government to give you money for what?
Tenzin: Reparations, for the great war and for the near-extermination of 6 million air-benders
Zuko: I already did alot of stuff for you, man
Tenzin: SIX BILLION AIRBENDERS DIED YOU KNOW!!!!

...

I don't know if being the personal bodyguard and enforcer of the current king of the earth kingdom and its nobles is really the duty of the avatar.

Nothing was wrong with the advice they gave

>superior Fire Nation Technology
That was outmatched by a balding man, his crippled son, and a couple of other hippies
>Oversaw the industrial revolution that was the backbone of all the cool shit that was available in LoK.
No, he merely started a war economy. Most of the revolution would have happened under Zuko's rule.
>Look at all of the empowered women he employs; he's egalitarian as fuck.
Three empowered women, one of whom is his daughter. The rest were either cannon fodder grunts or his daughter's friends.
> Brought down Ba Sing Say, an Orwellian city that was a nightmare of people who lived in it.
That was the dai lee technically, and he promptly put it back under control of his fire nation and the people who made it an orwellian nightmare.
>Seriously, remember that one episode where Aang ripped off Footloose? The public education the children of the Fire Nation received was unlike anything that was available in any other part of the world.
They made macaroni pictures and told a false history about how a bunch of bald, cake eating, animal loving monks had an organised military.
>He fought to secure the existence of his people and a future for fire-bender children.
By murdering everyone else. Also, he tried to kill half of his own fire bender children. Multiple times. He either failed or got dissuaded each time.

Also this. Guy raised a monster, got the crap kicked out of him by his 'worthless son' when he attempted to execute him, and only survived because Zuko AND Aang were merciful.

This pretty much. Korra is disappointing because Aang sets a high standard; he actually masters all four elements, and utilises each of them in interesting ways. He's used rocks as armor, fireballs to knock down airships, water to cushion his landings, and air to be a general untouchable madman.

Korra's more of a kick, punch, kick fighter, which is a bit shit when someone has something to restrain you with.

So did Aang. He just got it Deus Ex'd back.

And people say Korra's the only who has the universe solve all her problems.

>This pretty much. Korra is disappointing because Aang sets a high standard;
The thing is Aang is hyper competent for his age, while the only thing Korra was supposed to be at good was fighting.

However, they didn't even show Korra be good at fighting, the one thing she's supposed to be good at, because they don't know how to establish a villain as a threat without Korra jobbing to them.

It is said that he unlocked the secret of unlimited desserts and became untethered from the gym, living his final forty years without ever moving his ass

Airbender Internet Defense Force detected.

My sides have entered the void

REMEMBER THE SIX GORILLION AIRBENDERS

NO WAY PUNY FIREBENDING CAN MATCH SUPERIOR CHOSEN PEOPLE AIRBENDING

NOMAD STAFFS WERE FOLDED OVER A THOUSAND AND WAN TIMES

AIRBENDING BLASTS CAN CUT FIREBENDING TANKS IN HALF

Azula is not a fucking monster child. She is a vulnerable little girl who is scared of being alone.

Fuck off, Scrapper

Korra

BLOW IT ALL UP

What's his endgame?

I'm not Scrapper but it's wrong to call Azula a monster.

Fuck off, Scrapper
You really need to kill yourself at some point.

Oh god not this tool again

I'll kill other people before I kill myself. I'm not Scrapper

Don't reply to him, he just gets off having the same conversations over and over and over and over.

Ironically one could say the same for most people on Sup Forums, but yeah you're right

Can't I have any hope that he'll eventually kill himself?
Can a man not dream?

Shitposters feed on (you)s, he will only kill himself once people stop replying to him just like Fire Lo did.

platinum game when?

Friendly reminder that Republic City is a massive experiment in Race-mixing financed and lead by the airbenders.

You mean the (((White Lotus)))

The Korra platinum game was pretty fun, despite being made by their B-team.

You can kill them and then yourself. Then we'll all be happy.

>financed and lead by the airbenders.
That one monk guy and his three dumb children?

Literally just started watching this series tonight. I was told this series was worth watching since I am a fan of Voltron.

Some of the writers of Voltron got their break on ATLA, so there are similarities.
Sokka's like Lance but actually useful and charming.

alright, let's settle this

who do we reckon was the bigger slut post-series, Toph or Ty Lee?

Ty Lee loved the attention so her?

The next avatar will have to only have Korra as their only mentor. That's pure terror

user Fire nation won in the end

Earth Kingdoms lost land and power and is highly likely gonna face turmoil. Water nations are divided so now their power is cut in two and south water tribe is still hindered by the war and sparsity.
United republics have a huge fire nation influence and upper class as well as a base for more fire nationals to spread influence over.

Remind me which past life offered good and useful advice, and wasn't just part of a power-up.

for Aang or Korra

In TLA Aang got some good advice from his past lives during the finale. He just didn't follow it because turtles.

Such as?

It's been a while since I've rewatched the show, any examples?
I remember the Guru telling him to disregard bitches to gain Wizard Powers, but he was stupid, Aang already had Wizard Powers.

Most of the advice given in TLA is good advice, it's just sometimes not taken/not what they're looking for.

Aang's particular problem was trying to find a solution that didn't involve sacrificing his ideals, which he held as extra important considering he literally was the last of his kind. Part of the moral dilemma he's got is that if he takes Ozai's life as the Avatar, he'll "cease to be" the Last Airbender, as the Airbender philosophies natures will have died in order to necessitate Ozai's death.

He still gets the solution given to him, regardless of risk to spirit or not, but even so, there was a lot going there beyond "muh no kill code".

...

>The next Avatar will go on a spirit quest to reforge the connection with previous Avatars, shaking his head at what a fuck up Korra was the whole while. Eventually finds Deus Ex to fix Korra's mistakes. Uses it to remove Korra from the line of Avatars. Because she's such a fuck up. This causes bullshit spirit balance stuff to destroy the Reincarnation Cycle from the inside out.
>Even dead and removed from the Avatar Cycle Korra still manages to ruin eveything

My favorite of the four pieces of advice he was given was that since he has a responsibility to the world he needs to put that responsibility over his own happiness (I'm paraphrasing here). Like I said though this was rendered completely meaningless by him moments later being given energybending knowledge by the turtle. I love the original series but this one aspect of the ending really pissed me off.

I understand it's a little more complicated than "but muh morals" but I think it's a lot less interesting. It just leaves a sour taste in my mouth. There's already a million shows aimed at younger audiences with a "just be true to yourself" message but maybe there should be one that says that the whole world is a little more important than that. If he had found non-lethal the solution in another way I would be more okay with it, but as it is it feels a little bit cheap.

...

Kyoshi? More like GAY YOSHI.
Ha ha.

daily reminder that Ty Lee broke the golden rule

Literally all of those things were done by other people, mostly Sozin.

Remember that the guy's big doomsday plan was to scorch a continent owned by his own nation with a slow-ass fleet of vulnerable airships while facing people who can throw fuck-huge rocks at flying things. I'm not exactly sure what he was thinking, but oh boy his plan was dumb like all fuck.

...

I hope that you all remember to support your team by punching the enemy team in the face

And then she created the Dai Li.

Kyoshi was a genuinely shit Avatar based on what we know.

user please, there are way more characters that would make a better protagonist than korra

He will probably be the first avatar to cause the end of the world

...

>Reminder that all of the past lives were pretty much fuck-ups like Korra
All the previous Avatars combined didn't screw up as much shit as Korra.
>hurrr I'll free and empower the embodiment of evil
>oh he's just been an Avatar for five minutes and has no past lives this'll be easy oh shit he done killed my past lives
>I'll let the magic immortal super beings, who were brought into the physical world by the embodiment of evil and drove mankind to near extinction, back into the physical world
>save me Jinora
>save me again cause I can't best a major baddie on my own in my own show
>master the elements, why would I do that
>Earth Kingdom is in pretty bad shape, let me plunge it into anarchy, that'll fix things
>good news is I talked Kuvira down, bad news I leveled the sole democracy on the planet in the process, oh well time for vacation with my waifu

For the nth time I still want an Evil Avatar

An Avatar that decided to put matters in his own hands to rule the four nations as a Tyrant.

The protagonist would then have to team up to defeat him, this would showcase a whole lot more elemental combinations with the 4 of them instead of relying on Avatar's 4 element circle thing with aang

korra's hair should be longer/10

She did nothing the like.
Unalaq did it.

Post rare qts

The world always felt really small to me, what with only four nations being present at all.
An evil Avatar probably wouldn't be able to access the Avatar State, the danger would be greatly diminished.

Good, then make the Evil Avatar to knowingly avoid Avatar state since he knows that all the past Avatars would try their best to stop him.

So the Story would be focused on one guy being able to bend all 4 elements as the bad guy while 4 of the strongest bender of each element is out to get him.

in the end the Avatar finds a way to 'shut' the past avatar out and goes Avatar State as some kind of evil super saiyan

>in the end the Avatar finds a way to 'shut' the past avatar out and goes Avatar State as some kind of evil super saiyan
I feel like one of Korra's problems was disregarding the previous rules of the show or adding new things to the lore, I don't know if Bryke could pull off adding something like that to the show without it seeming hamfisted and out of left field.

Remember to master fire

How about if we make it so that the evil avatar kills past avatar off?

but unlike Korra, the Evil Avatar actually fights them in the Avatar state, we see Roku, Kiyoshi, Korra, Aang battling him until hes the only one left

just rewatched the series, still great

i still hate Korra

should i read the comics?

She allowed it to happen though.

...

I don't think she could have foreseen Unalaq asspulling some tentaclepornbending from his mouth.

it's not like she even needed to be there in the first place. If she'd stayed home, none of S3 and S4 would've happened.

1. Aang only survived the show because of the past lives

2. most avatars actually helped; Kyoshi stopped an evil emperor, Kuruk BTFO Koh, Roku kept peace until he died, and Aang defeated the FN

>b-but Roku could have stopped before..
Not his fault as he wasn't expecting to die, and this just means that he could have helped BETTER, not that he didn't help.

>Aang eventually needed advice from a random Spirit Turtle
You could literally erase the turtle without changing the outcome of the final battle. You could NOT erase the past lives without Aang losing that fight.

>So did Aang
He couldn't go into the avatar state, it's different from destroying the past lives. Basically: he didn't fuck up the next avatar.

>Deus Ex
no such thing

What's going on in this thread?

>its an evil.dictator did nothing wrong post

The Fire Nation was just trying to spread their glory to inferior cultures

...

Just watched the whole series for the first time

what did you think?

It was pretty awesome, especially liked Zuko's arc

I just finished marathoning the whole of Aangs bit.
Zukos arc was great and Iroh was the best character followed shortly by toph.
I was a bit disappointed we didn't get Azula backstabbing the emperor, but watching her go completely batshit was worth it.
There is not nearly enough porn.

yeah Zuko stuff is the best, even in the first few episodes

Avatar porn has very good artists tho

Yeah but I don't care about korra porn yet
And I'm not willing to dig into the palcomix hole just yet either

So did Jet's buddies die with him or what?

No, they showed up in the comics. I guess that they just got locked in prison.

Azula didn't go batshit crazy she just had a breakdown.
