>Japan's oldest major movie studio asks a batch of venerable filmmakers to revive its high-brow soft-core Roman Porno series.

Does it have English subs yet? I watched it without subs a while back and was able to mostly follow it, but I would like to actually understand it.

uhh I thought there was but on avistaz there's only Chinese subs for some reason, hopefully soon though seeing as the bluray is finally out.

According to some comment on avistaz

>HK DVD came out on Oct 13th w/ English subtitles so feel free to get a copy and upload
so hopefully before the end of the week, maybe.

I'm hype but I feel like I'm gonna get disappointed, like with all his movie except for Love Exposure

Love Exposure isn't even his best movie.

How do you make anti porn? The actors put their clothes back on?

Cold Fish and Why Don't You Go Play In Hell are GOAT. Cold Fish is like a perverted Swimming With Sharks. The scene where old mate fish shop murderer finally reveals his power level and starts chastising the main charcter is one of the most unintentionally/intentionally hillarious things I've ever seen.

I could get not liking some of his more "random" films but Cold Fish was pretty great

What is?

How do you rate Himizu?

saw tokyo tribes yesterday and i fucking loved it even though it wasn't one of his most cerebral films

is he still releasing several flicks a year?

He hasn't done five films in a year again. Last couple years have just been Antiporno, Shinjuku Swan 2, and Tokyo Vampire Hotel.

Admittedly I have not seen a lot of his stuff. Apart from Cold Fish and Why Don't.... ive only seen Exte and bits of Suicide Club. And I know, I know, I need to see Love Exposure I just haven't gotten round to sitting down for 4 hours but I've known about it and chuckled at it's absurdity for years. I quite liked Exte, it's always good seeing "Gogo" in a nip film, really transcended it's simple premise. Suicide Club from what I can tell is like him doing some bizarre Eyes Wide Shut mystery film that needs a whole other film to fill in the gaps. I'll probably watch Guilty of Romance or Strange Circus when I get around to watching one of his films next as I have them on my computer. You tell me which I should watch senpai.

His best is Strange Circus. Noriko's Dinner Table, Hazard, and The Whispering Star are all better than Love Exposure too though.

what are your thoughts on tokyo tribe

Redpill me on Sion Sono

It wasn't a "great" film by any means, but I had a really good time watching it. The only movie of his I didn't get some enjoyment out of was Shinjuku Swan, don't waste your time with that one.

>Tokyo Vampire Hotel

I didn't realize that Tricot song was for a movie. Never watched anything by Sono; what's the best and easiest film of his to find?

easiest film to get into is love exposure, pretty easy to find as well
would then see why don't you play in hell, another good one of his

hardest to get into and find would be tag, i myself liked it but i haven't really encountered anyone who liked it that much

you can find pretty much all of them on amazon prime

Tag isn't "hard to find" it's even on American Netflix.

Is this the prequel to ufoporno?

Tag has been on netflix for months. Maybe it's just me being a public tracker pleb but most of his pre-Love Exposure work is hard to find any seeds for

Why Don't You Play In Hell? if you want the "wacky flashy action comedy" Sono. Suicide Club if you want the "low-budget surreal cult film" Sono.

this, idk why people talk so much about suicide club and cold fish when strange circus is leagues above both

then i don't think there are any movies of his that are hard to find

>Whispering Star
YES

Ive been meaning to wacth that one forever. Im not really into the hypnotic cult japanese porn gore shenanigans of Sonos more recent films. (although Love Exposure was pretty entertaining) Whispering Star looks nothing like Sono's other films and more introspective and arty.

Still have a big soft spot for Why Dont You Play in Hell. That film is just flat out enjoyable as HECK

If you like weird japanese sex gore and incest fantasies i would recommend Love Exposure

Is there anywhere I can watch The Sion Sono?

amazon prime and american netflix

other than those avistaz have all of his films

I had trouble when I was trying to find Decisive Match! Girls Dorm Against Boys Dorm a while back.

decisive match has 15 seeds on avistaz, no public trackers available

its not on avistaz

thought you meant i am sion sono
