This is now a waifu thread

are you asking what he man is? it was a cool fantasy/sci-fi show designed to sell toys primarily but had boat loads of charm and memorable characters and was good enough to have a reboot-prequel series in the 2000's and a few movies based of it. and an insurance commercial recently.

Patrician waifu coming through

So, which era(s) was your childhood?

between core and late

before any of those.

...

There was this show called Swat cats, crazy good jet action

The 8-bit era.

UK kid's TV, when I was very young, was extremely cheap so we watched stuff that had been around for a long time already. It picked up in the 80s when the Mattel money started showing up on ITV.

>Deep Britcore:
Trumpton
Chigley
Mr Benn
Rainbow

>80s
Battle of the Planets
Dogtanian
Round the world...with Willie Fogg
Mysterious Cities of Gold
Dungeons & Dragons
Thundercats + HE-MAN (always though they sucked though with all that moralising)
etc.

I would actually say I'm most nostalgic for classic Saturday morning shows now:
Swapshop
Saturday Superstore
Going Live

eek the cat

Gen X here. Where's mah Thundercats / He Man / MASK?

we love to laugh and play

...

>deep britcore
>no Knightmare

Bit after your time I'm guessing? I grew up playing my older brothers c64. 29 years old.

>No mention of the best show with the best waifu, ReBoot.

Plebs, the lot of you.

Oh I remember Knightmare alright, considered applying to go on it but we never got round to it (its Blockbusters that hurts most in that regard, we thought it would last forever...).

Truthfully though it got a bit dull after a bit, eventually you realised that they were just walking around an empty warehouse. Also, in general, I watched more BBC than ITV really.

dem hips

>Mona the vampire
My nigga

Knightmare had a GOAT-tier theme song.

Also my definition of Britcore is stuff they'd made in the 60s and 70s and saw no point in replacing and were still merrily screening into the mid-80s. I think the Beeb was unsure if children should be watching tv at all. Pic related is when they officially changed their minds.

But its all top-notch stuff.

Core

youtube.com/watch?v=psnCd3aFLmc

Mein neger.

I watched shows from the first three and sparsely from the fourth

the best bravestarr episode is the one where the lesson of the day is that if you betray your friends and make a deal with the devil, you can succeed at your goal.

Did you ever see the end of it?
youtube.com/watch?v=kq5Y_ogiyi0

That show was like War and Peace and Ulysses put together. Supposed to be 39 episodes, it felt 390. No, not that Ulysses.

It's sort of a blur of Toonami, Adult Swim, and Jackass after that until I stopped watching TV altogether around a decade ago.

Now i have a question for you! i´ve been looking like forever for the name of a cartoon i remember very little about. I only remember a futuristic city that was half corrupted by some sort of dimensional thing. Closest way i have to descrive it is as if the phalanx from the xmen cartoon had corrupted the world of the centurions...

Half remembering totally pisses me off...

Loved Kids in the Hall. None more 90s.
Also, this: youtube.com/watch?v=vW7y9vkkybA
Which is a big deal in its day but almost completely forgotten now it seems. Perhaps one for Andrew Lincoln completists but Anna was the star. Sad thing is they wouldn't be able to afford to live in London like that now even sharing the house.

>Gen Z and Millennials LARPing as Gen X

I was born in 1980, bro

Heres a deep cut.
Considered very edgy, Streetwise (1989).
youtube.com/watch?v=mDftY1dZegI

Mostly known for being Andy Serkis's big break.
I think Serkis has destroyed all evidence, despite being the main character he isn't in this episode and its the only clip available. There aren't even any pictures on google image search. You can just see him in the title credits, he's busking on a saxophone.

My god... i think i just found it... i think it´s spiral zone.

This show actually heavily contributed to me becoming a teenage vigilante. Actually stopped a few crimes, too.

Never heard of this, I would have watched it though looking a the opening. The animation reminds me of M.A.S.K.

It's not considered vigilantism when you stop yourself from stealing cigarettes or prevent yourself from raping the local strays user.

>Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors

Based user.

Good one.

I have the whole series because I used to love it as a kid, still haven't had time to watch to the end. I remember back then I made it to where they found the golden flying machine that looks like a bird that is in the intro, and never made it past that point for some reason. Great show, especially after the cartoon went off it showed a little 5 minute documentary that touched on subjects that was in the show.

Ah yes, The Golden Condor. I think thats as far as I got as well. They showed it twice on CBBC apparently, perhaps thats why it seemed like it was always on. Because it was, basically.

>tfw so very very hyped for the Hey Arnold Jungle Movie coming out this month

I am so fucking ready for a proper finale.

Real favorites as a kid:
>Dungeons and Dragons
>Pirates of Dark water
>GI joe (original)
>Gummi Bears
>He Man
>Transformers
>Mysterious Cities of Gold
>The Real Ghost Busters
>Thundercats
>Duck Tales
>Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers
(Everything from the Disney Afternoon
>Looney Tunes (All of them Foghorn Leghorn, Pepe Lepew, Bugs Bunny, Roadrunner, Yosemite Sam, etc
>Every Disney Cartoon especially the short segments
>You cant do that on television on nickelodeon. "I don't know".
Saturday Mornings were great. Huge bowl of cereal, up at 7am to start watching cartoons until about 1pm. Back before 24 hour 7day a week cartoon channels.

was meant for

I literally cried and had an erection when i saw the trailer

I barely remember it myself... but when i saw the two face like faces and the domes i recognized it.

M.A.S.K was pretty good too... i wonder why today´s cartoons can´t hold a candle to those old ones. I mean, the openings at the very least still hold.

I watched the American Rabbit right before puberty. Talk about some weird wet dreams.

youtube.com/watch?v=N-DlRBrFz1I

My nigger

The only time I've heard of this movie was because Chris-chan listed it as his all time favorite movie

Seriously, I thought it was a fever dream until I looked it up a few years ago to see if it was real.

Ruined?

lotsa grandads on here tonight lads

>tfw nobody watched your show

no "ruled" as in it was awesome, dominated it, etc, I loved He Man, everyone had the toys and various merch, it was good.
also goddamn the pic is nice, thanks user

I HAVE THE POWER!!!

...

...

I'm ashamed to admit that it took me decades to realize that Skeletor actually had blue skin and wasn't just wearing like a skin tight suit or something...

Whut. Sounds wrong to me.

That still looks like a suit.

Took me years to realise that Cheetarah used to get naked in thundercats

He's a Gar (or rather half Gar)
he-man.wikia.com/wiki/Gar
the 2000's revival series elaborated on his backstory based on unused concepts from the original series. Despite it looking like a suit one of the toys had nipples.

almost like they were trying to give kids fetishes

Looks like he Man did have a darkside

that show is fucking art

Wait, what?

>not one person mentioning Scooby fucking Doo ITT

I think we could've been friends when we were kids. Take out centurions, dinosaucers and Denver and replace with He-Man, Conan and super Mario Bros super show and ours are the same.

You might be the only one here old enough to remember this.
