1. Youtube is non-free software
2. The le vaporwave meme died in 2012, get over it.
>using youtube app
Enjoy your ads fgt
>not creating your own distortion by recording music onto cassette tapes
I wish the 80s meme would die
it will die when we go into a better decade, and then people will emulate that for the next 100 years instead
thats different
I genuinely liked synthwave around 2010. Redline by Lazerhawk is still fucking boss.
Then normies came along.
>128kbps
Highly, highly recommend this album from Johnny Jewel which apparently started off as the Drive soundtrack, but it plays like a film of its own. Perfect driving, walking, rain, reading etc music
I just listened to about 30 seconds of that and I want to stick a power drill in my ears
I do that all the time too
Com Truise just put out a new album this year.
Trying too hard to be driver
Fake as hell. I do this shit without even trying, same haunts, same hours, seedy parts of town, doing things society sees as low brow. Not on the up and up in other words
You should do that
>YouTube synthwave to understand wtf faggot opie is talking about.
This is fucking awesome. I’m hooked. This music is fucking amazing. I don’t understand wtf you tard wranglers bitching about, synthwave is great.
Nightcall is the epitome of synthwave
And with that, another lone Driver began to roam the night.
See ya around, big guy
this one is good too

I burn my synthwave to CD for the car so I don't have to fumble with bullshit apps
I wish I had a car
Go back to you total fucking faggot
...
Eurobeat nightcore is the goat driving music
>tfw the most kino genre is synthwave
>Somehow synthwave is still popular after like 5 years
I like this trend

went to a party a few weeks ago and all the 19-20 year olds there were nostalgia fagging over the 80s. a decade they weren't even born for
it's honestly a fucking embarrassment
>When plebs don't understand retro futurism, cyberpunk, or sci fi in general
That's not nostalgia, that's romanticism.
I was born in 1990 but love a lot of things about 80's culture and the things that came of it, like John Carpenter and classic anime. I don't think it's wrong to appreciate the cultural exports of a particular time period
temporal appropriation
Guys, what's a decent alternative to the jewtube app? the official YT ad runs like shit, has ads, and you can't turn off the screen. There used to be a handful of alternate players that allowed you to bypass ads and turn the screen off, but they no longer work.
semi-related; is the Guest any good?
>agressive synthwave that makes you imagine an army of death marching over the ruins of its enemy
Not even metal gives you this feel
wow so retro my dude
I only listen to initial D soundtrack when driving, even when mommy is in the car
lol wut
You just don't get it
This thread is comfy
i really hope a cd isn't retro for you
Link some agressive synthwave with that feel then. I like a bit of synth but haven't heard any like that before
The whole album is good.
ywn chad up and crash a teenage/young 20's party while this is playing: youtube.com
Really makes me want to become /fit/
>people listen to faux 80s modern music instead of actual 80s music
This.
a lot of this inspired synthwave was inspired by film soundtracks and not actual 80's tunes, so it's not like the original music is in large supply.
I guess it makes me a faggot, but I'd rather listen to Perturbator than Joy Division
>listening to anything but eurobeat while driving
YOURE MY PIKA GIRL IN THE POKE WORLD
Because 80s music is trash and the modernized take on 80s sounds better.
>tfw you have a 300 track playlist of both synthshit and actual 80's hits
There was a lot of variety of various genres in the 80s. When people are referring to "80s music" in the modern context, they're talking about the sort of electronic theme music you'd hear in movies and such. Not the stuff that was playing on the radio. Think John Carpenter.
>he thinks vaporwave is the same as retro electro
kys pleb
PERTURBATOR Weapons for Children
That's pretty sick, thanks for the recommendation. And I agree it's a different feel to metal.
Still though "an army of death marching over the ruins of its enemy" is the premise for so many metal songs.
Cringe , post decent dark synth though.

this is kind of a stretch, but I love me some depeche mode.
wtf I hate depeche mode now
I unironically did this after I saw a the movie in the cinema kek, Didn't buy a white jacket though.
and why is that, fellow user?
Because their latest album Spirit lacks nuance in any of the lyrics even though it sounds great
>Synthwave
I thought the fad died
