Is there a better tv trope than bad guys becoming good guys?

Is there a better tv trope than bad guys becoming good guys?

It's good when done right, but Dragon ball ran that trope into the fucking ground. Over half the cast in the current arc used to be fucking villains

>trope
It's just like real life when people decide to align with the dark side or the light side.

It's good when done well. It's very obvious what's going to happen with Billy though.

Nice image. It's a good fit.

Tien was more antagonistic than a straight up villain.
The Androids weren't exactly villains either.
Just because he doesn't want to get erased doesn't mean Frieza is a good guy now.

he kills himself in a car accident because he cant come to terms with his homolust?

>Frieza is a good guy now.
OHOHOHOHOH, user-san. You're so naïve.

That was the formulas for dbz, though. Fake villains to hype up the final villain. Every saga had it. Vegeta to Frieza, Androids to cell, fat Buu to kid Buu.

kek. Which episode is the top picture from?

times where the bad guys win.

they dont win nearly as much as the should

...

This works.

Too bad Super ruined Vegeta like it ruined everything

t. Brainlet.

Frieza is being forced into fighting with the good guys or else he will be destroyed, its an interesting situation, not him being good

The Stranger Things Chad was never, ever a bad guy

Specify which one, kid.

>Bad guy joins goodguys but is still bad

better trope

Zuko (Last Airbender) and Spike (Buffy the Vampire Slayer). Best development from their respective shows

Lilah Morgan (Angel) and Lucifer (Supernatural)

>Orochimaru literally gets off scot free after all his bullshit
FFS

fuck off, animefag

>Zuko (Last Airbender) and Spike (Buffy the Vampire Slayer). Best development from their respective shows

Babby's first liberal depictions of "villains"

O

Not really, the books (approved by Kishimoto and considered canon) that take place between Naruto and Boruto establish he's basically a prisoner working to benefit leaf military tech.

Lots of anime villains get off scott free though. Vegeta killed BILLIONS if not trillions and fucks around with his friends and hot wife in his mansion without anybody bringing it up

Steve has NEVER been a bad guy in the show
not trying to be contrarian but he did nothing wrong
they showed him like the typical chad asshole but he's always been nice

He killed billions....

>establish he's basically a prisoner working to benefit leaf military tech.
So he's pretty much in charge of the ninja space program then, seems familiar

>the androids werent villains
i havent watched dbz since middle school, but didnt they just fly around killing innocent people

this

>Zuko
>Bad
I'll bite, explain.

>antagonist becomes an ally or protagonist
There, now it won't trigger your autism that much

>Is there a better tv trope than bad guys becoming good guys?
the villain having better intentions than the hero and dying for it

alright fine, Zuko was anti-hero. Spike was literal villain in his first appearances though

Heroic sacrifice or just death right when he turns good?

the villain being the true hero all along and being killed by the other true villain

opps missread it but my question still stands, Heroic sacrifice or killed off by the true villain while battling with the MC.

MY

RUBBER

Gonna have to try harder than that kiddo

NEN

How did Super ruin everything?

>The Androids weren't exactly villains either.

What?

based Steve

to save millions.
wait what

>The Androids weren't exactly villains either.

>Be me, Android 17
>Built for the sole purpose to kill Son Goku
>Goku dies from heart disease
>I think to myself, eh fuck it, I still wanna fuck shit up. I think it's fun
>Share idea with my hot sister
>She thinks it's cool too
>Decide to kill every human in the surrounding area, fly around and end up killing a few of Goku's friends
>Mutilate his son's arm, leaving him with 1 arm to fight 2 of us by himself
>Kill him in a 2 on 1
>The Trunks kid escapes, don't see him for a while
>All of a sudden he's back
>Strong as shit
>Kill hot sis
>Kill me
>We weren't given a fair trial, we weren't "evil," we were just made that way by our creator
>My brain goes into a universal computer
>Navigate my way to different websites
>Find one called Sup Forums
>Go to the television and movies board, wasn't able to enjoy it in my lifetime, so why not learn about it
>See thread with Piccolo and Vegeta in it, open it
>Scroll down a bit, find a post saying we weren't evil exactly
>Literally massacred entire poulations
>Not exactly evil
>Mfw

>Son Goku
stop saying this you weeaboo retard. his name is goku

it's actually sun wukong

goku's similarities with the monkey king ended after dragon ball

Did they fug?

Nah, he just had a check up.

Nah, they went on a road trip committing petty crimes and being a general nuisance... And killing cops.

considering his name is the exact same, i'd say no.

Son Goku is the literal Japanese translation of Sun Wukong you mong.

His name was Kakarot.

His full name, regardless if it's in English or Japanese, is Son Goku. Fuck off you braindead faggot.
