Costume reveal 9pm

What the fuck this is fantastic

Even if this is fake, only 14 minutes to find out.

Thank you! Producing music is pretty much my favourite thing but I've been really unmotivated lately so that's why I haven't really posted much of it to /who/.

Bonus old-sounding version:

>Sup Forums doesn't allow the a e s t h e t i c type font anymore

I appreciate the way these are arranged from longest to shortest. It is pleasing to my autism.

legit good,

*shortest to longest

Phil Sandifer, Lawrence Miles, and Adam Orford all enter a bar.

Which one dies?

>Which one dies?
I'm hoping it's the shitposter who keeps posting about those wankers.

Larry desu

Who /leakley/?

Ayy thank you! I made the original, but user added Gallifrey into the background.

I just quickly made this too, since this background image has always screamed vaporwave to me for some reason

...

...

Tbh people don't make fun of Sandifer enough. Especially when Loz is such a target.

It's 9:02 P.M. in Britain...and no costume reveal...

Whilst the Leekley Bible is certainly interesting and intriguing... Doctor Who just isn't the same without the campiness.

REEE GIVE US THE ANNOUNCEMENT CHIBNALL CHIBSC CHINASH CIAJOACS CHINABLE BHEHIBEBL CHUMBLEY

Oh

Ok

More reports of filming popped up overnight. Chibbers is certainly bold by not announcing anything yet.

>the Doctor smoking a cigar

THIS IS WRONG

We will probably get something tonight or tomorrow.

however security has cordoned off props/cast etc from the public according to some annoyed person

you've jinxed it and we won't hear anything until new year now

Imagine if they do that...

adam is there. he will find a way.

I could imagine certain Doctors with a cigar.

But definitely not 8.

>DWSR has been completely isolated and cannot gain access to filming locations

Based Chibs. /ourguy/ confirmed.

>Adam: Umm, excuse me. I'm part of the crew. Steven Moffat and Peter Capaldi considered me staff. Look, I even have a hoodie which says "Staff". Now move out of the way and let me see Jodie.
>Chris Chibnall: I'm sorry. I'm afraid I can't let you do that, Adam.
>*Chibbers turns around and pulls off his sunglasses*
>Chris: It's my turn now.

>the Doctor inherited his traveling spirit and was inspired to travel from his dad, rather than learning how much he enjoyed it from his experiences

>the Doctor's almost like a lost prince of Gallifrey

That's even wronger to me, although I do like this view of Gallifrey as a fallen kingdom. It feels majestic, in a way you don't see in NuWho. I could see the Eighth Doctor dealing with this version of Gallifrey

Agreed, it feels like it defeats the whole purpose of the Doctor being a renegade. In this, he's basically tied completely to Gallifrey and it means everything to him.

I'd say it's almost weirdly monarchial, like the doctor's a nationalist. It doesn't feel right and it defeats the point of his character

We might even get the costume announcement within the next two hours.

Yeah, he feels too personally locked into its structure. I also don't like the Master as the "original evil nemesis to the Doctor since birth" . It makes things feel too tidy, and it doesn't quite connect with the Master's frenemy relationship with Three.

However, it does feel exactly like a cheesy 90s version of Who.

It does make the Doctor like Robin Hood, but it's too explicit with it.

I'm not sure if anyone's posted these yet but I saw them on twitter and thought I'd post them here.

>The essential conflict between the Doctor's birth on the Blue Planet and his origins on Gallifrey explains his odd personality contradictions. He is of two worlds.
Really hate this implication that the Doctor is only who he is because of his birth and particularly because of a connection to Earth. It's patronizing the audience by attributing all his good qualities to us.

I think it's clear that whoever made this (Leekley?) did love Doctor Who. However, I think they messed up a bit while trying to translate to a serialized running 90s sci fi show. I do like the "Borusa is telling humans about the show lore" conceit of this series bible.

It's not Who related, sure, but I can't believe that Big Finish is charging £28 + £35 for Blake's 7 audios - what the fuck is this?

>inb4 >paying

...

I'd go so far as to say it defeats the entire point of the show. There's no mystery to his character, to the point where it's useless even calling the show "Doctor Who" and might as well be called "THE ADVENTURES OF MISSPELLED BORUSA (ft. the doctor)". He's a renegade, he doesn't really give a fuck about Gallifreyan politics and we should certainly never see any family members explicitly (hints are fine, like in Hell Bent).

This. I've never understood the thought that "THE MASTER IS THE MOST EVIL BEING IN THE UNIVERSE" when his entire character is that he's basically stepping on ants to piss the Doctor off. He's an old friend who grew up with the "bad" kids.

The pipe is different, especially since it was only used once, and for plot convenience too. Also, the pipe is pretty British whereas cigars would definitely make it feel overly americanised.

DWSR BTFO

I'm okay with the Doctor's childhood being shown.

But it should be intentionally contradictory and easily ignored by future writers.

Like everything in who.

>I've never understood the thought that "THE MASTER IS THE MOST EVIL BEING IN THE UNIVERSE

I don't mind if he ends up as one of the most evil beings in the universe (Beevers Master is pretty bad. Simms Master literally killed everyone just to be everyone). But saying he started out as "the most evil being who always hated the Doctor" ignores the Master's character growth, and that the Doctor and him used to be friends.

>There's no mystery to his character

To be fair, this is just the series bible. It may never have been explained fully in the show.

Every view of the Doctor's childhood should have the young Doctor played by a young girl. Just to mess with people.

Yeah, there's clearly a lot of knowledge in there. But to me, I feel like it misinterprets the entire charm of the show and it'd just be watered down into generic sci fi I'd never have any interest in. I always feel like the show shouldn't take itself too seriously as hard sci-fi, there should always be this humour to it where it's self-aware. This Doctor just seems... deadpan and uninteresting. The humour should actually make you chuckle (or even roll your eyes), rather than make you think "ah! what an amusing statement!" like I feel so many other sci fi shows go for.

All in my opinion, of course. But I love Who for its campiness. Straight-up constant drama just doesn't keep me interested for too long.

Yeah, I agree. I feel like Listen is the furthest we should go in regards to showing the Doctor's history. I like the barn shown in Day, Listen, and Hell Bent because it doesn't really have much impact on the history of the show, but it's significant enough where it becomes a good look at the Doctor's background.

a young black girl

...

How would spider Daleks even work in a mid-90s scifi show budget?

...

...

I think you have a point there. Although, the TV movie actually got the Eighth Doctor's personality pretty well, so I suspect the Doctor would have been less morose in action.

A different girl each time.

...

literally nothing factually wrong with this scene.

>mfw my trip has been off this whole time

That's a shit animorphs cover

Besides n8 and Simon Bucher Jones, who else is writing Book of the Enemy?

>Native American Cybermen

Hey n8 how's the unbound stories going?

Good colour variation in this scene.

Did the parody versions of other British TV shows in S1's finale annoy you? Or were you pleased with their inclusion?
