>inb4 butts

>Who?

this.

is it a gritty history epic?

Shakespeare.

It's an adaptation of Shakespeare in a modern setting, but they keep the ye olde english dialogue.

It was pretty good, even though Coriolanus came across as autistic

Wasted potential. Still enjoyable tho

...

kino adaption of one of my favorite stories.

do you even know who ralph fiennes is lol like what do you expect

Absolute kino. Like not even joking, the modern setting fits like a glove.

Is McBeth with Fassenberg half as good as this? I've seen the trailer and it's quite the looker too but I've seen mixed reactions here (though I can say the same for Coriolanus).

It's much more artsy and harder to understand. But the photography and acting is perfect

nu-macbeth was pretentious, polansky's is still the standard. it's sad because you'd think they would have knocked it out of the park given all the talent and technology available.

The one movie where Gerard Butler doesn't suck as an actor.

What's the matter, you tasteles redditors, that, rubbing the poor itch of your opinion make yourselves scabs?

It's amazing. By far the best adaption I've seen yet.

uh... what?

Brah! He was good as the phantom of the opera.

>implying the '78 play of the the Royal Shakespeare company isn't the absolute standard
uncultured swine...

Setting it in the modern times was a mistake. The Roman customs and politics the story revolves around do not translate well at all. Other than that it's a very good film.

So this is the power of kino

>that weird scene where they spray stuff on a chair

Butts

>polansky's is still the standard
Lolno, the standard is Throne of Blood.

Good movie. Not the best, but comfy to the end
