How would you fix Marvel Comic's reputation?

How would you fix Marvel Comic's reputation?
The overly Politically Correct pages and panels still trend whether or not they are relevant

They need to go full nazi to balance it out. After a year have an event where their PC characters fight the Nazi characters and they decide to chill out in the end. We could call it some thing like Courteous Confrontation.

Literally the only one who cares about this shit is Sup Forums. Marvel has an excellent reputation at large.

I don't think it's political correctness. I think it's the fact that the properties are tired at this point. Like how when anime got big and everyone just ate up the good material, people did that with Marvel, and now there's just not much left to really look into.

The first guy has the right idea... a little bit, if they did that they would need to be as subtle as humanly possible because media and shit

Bait-O-Meter: 6 out of 10

"Nobody really likes this thing everybody likes, they're just being trendy!" is a rookie tack, but the concern trolling for Marvel's reputation was smooth and earns you a couple points.

Bring the ORIGINAL this back not the dark reign version
Maybe get grant back aswell

Just look at Marvel's sales. USAvengers #1 was the top comic for the month and the second issue was #94

fire alonso, joe, bendis, slott, jihad lady, give garth ennis a vertigo like punisher book in the real 616 have him mouth fuck gwen pool with a 45 while he pulls the trigger and create a marvel bueno exellente that rapes and murders ms marvel, hellcat, riri etc......

GEE, It's almost like having 50 covers boosted the sales, but the most recognizable character on the team is Squirrel Girl!

The people who complain about political correctness are like the people complaining about Poochie. Even if it was removed, you'd be bored sick of Punisher, Captain America, Iron Man, and all that. You didn't care about those characters the last few years, why do you care now that they are removed?

Because USAvengers #1 would have had #2's sales if it wasn't loaded with variant covers, but thanks to the variant cover tactic, they made 4 issues worth off of the #1.

I agree. We really do need a return of Marvel's EDGE imprint.

>fire 90% of the current writers and editors
>hire competent professional non man-children
>complete reboot

link writers and characters

stop having multiple people turn a character into an inconsistent mess

or if they're going to do that, then don't try to pretend there's supposed to be any semblance of continuity

Only way to change the reputation is to write better stories. With better writers.

When you are letting guys like Bendis and Spencer do events of course you're going to bomb.

They are treating guys like Bendis like they are Johns or Morrison. Letting them do whatever the fuck they want. Just look at how they let Bendis run GotG into the ground.

They need to push guys like Bendis, Spencer, Waid out, and hire GOOD WRITERS.

They also need stronger editorial. Good editorial would stem a lot of the problems that shit writers like Bendis cause, but their editors are as weak as Bendis is shit.

Kick Alonso and Brevoort out.

The problem other than the overexercise PC characters, comics and overuse of events are the horrible writers and editors.

Civil War II is an excellent example as it had no build up due to how recent Marvel Now is. The promotional posters before the event depicted several characters being on the opposite side that they're in the event or not being in it all together. There was no stakes between Captain Marvel and iron Man as they were just acquaintances, while in the first Civil War Tony and Steve were like brothers.

Not only was it delayed to the point where the relaunched revealed who lived and who died, thus ruining the tension, but the delay gave Bendis more time to come up with the perfect ending. Which was a literal Deus Ex Machina that didnt solve the core issue of the comic and this was supposed to be better than the original ending.

It was also littered with tons of inconsistent characters and mistakes that editors should have caught, but didnt either due to pressure from the writers or Marvel pushing this out. Writers need a good editor to keep them in line and focused on the story and not any message they want to self-insert or push any future events.

Marvel should hire a bunch of new writers and give them characters that nobody uses or wants and see how well they're received. Those that do well move on to bigger books and those that dont are fired.

Good stories have good sales no matter the character. The decline in Marvel sales are due to people being fatigued by their comics and just waiting for the next event because theres no point to buying them if a new event will just relaunch them again.

Don't forget that the last 9 pages of Civil War 2 were all ads for future events

MORE LESBIANS

fixing Marvel's rep is pretty easy, you just make Spider-Man and X-Men decent and stuffed to the brim with continuity nerd porn, they don't have to be good, just good enough that the fans wont complain and you make Daredevil depressing again and the fanbases of all three will shout down any criticism levied against Marvel.

the problem with building around teen girl books and the comic Avengers is the fans of those books aren't passionate or invested enough to defend Marvel or think they can be improved upon, they'll just move on to the next flavor of the month.

Bring Shooter back.

If people gave a shit about continuity nerd porn then Ewing's books would sell higher.

Maybe if his books weren't closed to the brim with literal who's and sales poison they'd sell better

I like this idea. I want Marvel to dieand this would definitely help.

>There was no stakes between Captain Marvel and iron Man as they were just acquaintances
No they have been team mates for years, him & her were the primary leaders on Mighty Avengers after Civil War 1.
