You know, I think I finally came to terms with this show. I used to be taken aback by how lame the characters were, by the corny writing, by how big and serious they portray kiddy stuff with no humor whatsoever, by how fucking ADHD the entire thing was.
Then it hit me with a random shower thought: it's a cartoon that's 100% made for kids and I made a mistake the moment I tried to judge it as a normal show.
I think I can even kind of enjoy it now.

So I realized that TLH is a new kind of crappy cartoon. Aside from being completely formulaic, predictable, and having a stable of one dimensional characters, the production team has also tapped into the unemployed 30 year old manchild audience by including waifu/fetish fuel.
Thus, you end up with a cartoon about comparable to Breadwinners but which autists will eat up like Valiums solely because it has underage waifus and implied incest.
