San Junipero was unironically kino, most fans of this show just want to see edgy bullshit though so they didn't like it.

It doesn't have a release date yet you goomba.

Fucking queers

Top 3 are correct, although why you have san junipero at the bottom is a mystery

The one with the soldiers killing shitskins. I do not even remember what the name of it was.

I dunno about worst but my favorites are Be Right Back and San Junipero.

Absolutely abhorrent taste.

Best is "Shut up and Dance"

what about the one where the guy's dad dies of alzeihmers and then he gets Resident Evil installed in his brain and loses all his memories.

that one stayed with me more than White Christmas desu.

also, San Junipero hit me so hard in the nostalgia feels. I'm a straight white guy but the whole scene felt like I was back in the yahoo chat rooms of 1998. That entire episode was magical.

I thought the horror videogame one was really good. Top tier acting from Kurt Russell's son and I liked when the woman said would you kindly open the door and all the other references and nods to vidya. Very comfy and also pretty creepy.

>Best
Shut Up and Dance
>Worst
San Junipero

Can someone explain why San Junipero was considered good? It was a boring love story than ended with "they "lived" happily ever after." There was no twist or reason why living in San Junipero was bad.

Best:
Nosedive
Shut up and dance
White Christmas

Worst:
The National Anthem

haven't you ever met someone at a club or party and the two of you just hit it off so hard? She was as into you as you were into her? And then you never saw them again?

Life used to be like that before the internet. San Junipero was amazing.

Maybe you're really young?

THIS.

Although, I thought San Junipero was okay though just really wasn't really a Black Mirror episode.

Why the hate for National Anthem?

1. 15 mil merits
2. White Christmas
3. Entire History of You
4. San Junipero
5. Playtest
6. Be Right Back
7. National Anthem
8. White Bear
9. Waldo Moment
10. Nosedive
11. Shut Up and Dance
12. Men Against Fire
13. MUH BEES

I personally just didn't find the idea very interesting

Maybe because it was boring, not much happened? I loved the ending though, it set up the tone and theme of the series so well, one of the better (although simple) messages desu.

It felt out of place for the series. It would be like watching Game of Thrones and then the Enterprise beams the crew down and her crew solves all the problems of GoT, and then the next episode everything goes back to normal for GoT.

why does no one like Hated in the Nation?

I actually really liked it. I would probably put it in my top 5. I felt really engaged in it the whole time even if the premise was a little silly

For some reason White Bear was just really boring to me

The Good:
>Important message

The Bad:
>unoriginal
>felt silly
>forgot it in 5 minutes

>the nostalgia feels
>im a straight white guy BUT

Move White Christmas and Shut Up and Dance both up two spots and this is my list.

What the fuck are you even talking about, you senile old faggot? When was the last time you met a qt at a club, 1996? Being able to relate to the story doesn't mean it ain't boring as

Your example is poor and doesn't relay exactly what you find wrong with the episode. Please just tell me specifically how the episode strayed from your concept of Black Mirror instead of talking about Game of Thrones and Star Trek. That makes no sense to me.

What I was able to extract from your random example is that maybe you think San Junipero was too optimistic and ended on a positive note? But that's strange because not all Black Mirror episodes are tragedies.

I think San Junipero fits perfectly, although I wish she would have chosen to die rather than be uploaded with her lover.

But at the end of the day San Junipero is pure Black Mirror. The episode showcases a new technology (interactive dating and conscious uploading) juxtaposed against common human emotions and traditions. This could have easily taken place in the same world where other Black Mirror episodes take place.

One idea I loved (not mine) was that the "Black World" future consisted of a totalitarian British state with mandatory retina modifications. This is the world where Shut Up and Dance, White Bear, White Christmas, Playtest, etc. took place whereas San Junipero is set in the America of the future which does not have CCTV gone mad.

I don't get it. I said I was a straight white guy so you would know I am not liking the episode because I am gay.

the one with the stationary bikes and the talent show

>Being able to relate to the story doesn't mean it ain't boring

It helps though. How old are you? You didn't answer me.

San Junipero is only good to people whose favorite segment from The Twilight Zone is the one with the old people.

>worst
>the one with the stationary bikes and the talent show

Imagine being this wrong

If you don't understand the redeeming features of SJ, you probably never will at this point, and I say that without any irony.

15 Million Merits is my favorite because I love it's theme the most. We're all fucking sellouts and the only way to really advance in society is to sell out as much as you can. Superb ending. Second favorite is Entire History of You because if we had access to memory tech like that, we would totally waste it on self-conscious bullshit (even if he was right in the end).

game of thrones is over

>Amnesia criminal
>Cartoon politician
>Fucking robot killer bees like Simpsons hit and run
>Nigger tricked into killing Jews
The show really went downhill after Netflix acquired and Americanised it.

That's why I liked it. It's probably second for season 3 for me, right behind the pedo episode. it was able to keep you interested despite being a bit of a ridiculous concept

Because I'm not the guy you were replying to. 19 tho

Wtf Waldo is the absolute worst of the worst. I tell everyone to avoid it and then they watch it out of curiosity and admit they should’ve never watched it

>Best
White Christmas
>Worst
The Waldo moment

Waldo is annoying and isn't a convincing people's champion but I still like the story and think it had one of the better endings of the series.

I feel the only reason the episode is liked because it touches on 80s and 90s nostalgia, a lesbian love plot (extra points for progressive minded people, personally I don't care), and having a matrix like environment you can enter and live in when you die.

They don't do anything with the tech that was interesting. They don't give a good reason why you wouldn't want to upload your mind. Two examples could be: you still have to work, someone in the physical world has to pay for it or you suddenly get discharged without warning if payment isn't made through your own work or payment outside. The plot itself is boring, two people meet, they fuck for different reasons, they figure out how to make it work, and they do. They live happily ever after in their digital heaven.

Sure a digital heaven fits the setting but they don't do anything that was interesting. I suppose it felt too cliched and did almost nothing to subvert my expectations for the cliches. Maybe there is something I'm failing to understand but it just felt like a boring romance story.

Especially if you don't try and explain them.

not that guy but I understand what you mean. That nostalgia factor was a big part of it and the fact that they were immortal beings destined to be young and party forever was a big draw for me.
>you will never spend eternity banging sloots in the 80's as the most attractive version of yourself.

correct

Playtest is good but not top 3

can anyone persuade me to watch this?couldnt get into the first episode

First episode is weak compared to some of the other episodes. Give it a shot, but there are some low episodes but some of the better ones definitely make up for it

>couldn't get into the first episode
>it's an anthology series

turn your fucking brain on, idiot

Best: White Christmas
Worst: Man Against Fire

The twists in White Christmas are pretty surprising and everyone figured out the plot of Man Against Fire in the first 15 minutes. I also didn't quite like the Bee one.

actually true. finding out the daughter was asian was a brilliant reveal

The second episode is objectively the best, if you don't like it, the show isn't for you

I was genuinely surprised at least three times in that episode. Such a thick episode, they managed to do three compelling storylines.

That one should have won the short film emmy over San Junipero, at least for writing.

I like san junipero a lot but white christmas was definitely a quintessential black mirror episode. I think it stands out because they easily could have used those first two stories as stand alone episodes that would have been meh but passable. But instead they weaved them together in a really creative way. The lead dude gives a great performance as well

I don't know why more people don't get freaked out by San Junipero. The ending sequence with the lil robots maintaining "heaven", the fact that people get so bored of being alive they go to crazy bondage clubs, the fact it isn't really YOU that's being uploaded, just a copy while the real you still dies - I feel like the technological horrors and concepts that could have been played with given that technology weren't fully explored.

Best: The Waldo Moment
Worst: Men Against Fire

Looking forward to consuming series 4 in one day and going "meh" like I did with every other Black Mirror series.

those are all good though.
shut up and dance isn't even top 5, men against fire is trash though

stop

But it is the best episode of the show. Having watched Nathan Barley previously, I was thinking, "This is like an episode of that show." I was delighted to find out it was originally written as an episode for Nathan Barley. Explains why it's one of the only good episodes of the show (the other being San Junipero, but that episode has some grating pacing issues).

So this thing good because it's like this other thing? Explain yourself!

Jon Hamm is fantastic in absolutely everything. If you liked it I HIGHLY recommend Mad Men.

Waldo was by far the worst episode. You're a faggot

Other thing good.

Thing good because it like other good thing.

Yes, it seems you understood.

For farther explanation, watch Nathan Barley.

What happened to calling somebody a faggot or an asshole? Soyboy sounds like something tumblr would come up with.

Waldo was the worst episode and Men Against Fire was the second worst.

>Hayley Atwell
>HGNNNNH
you mean the one actress harvey weinstein wouldn't fuck because she's a "fat pig"?

> Men Against Fire was the second worst.
Because the twist was too obvious?

I liked that one where the dudes salvation was suicide by way of jumping off a moving train

that episode was a retarded pile of dog shit. the entire episode was shit, actually, except maybe the last episode with goddess kelly macdonald.

*season

Can we at least all agree that season 4 was mostly dogshit? Ever since it switched to netflix it's been going downhill.

Series 3

And I didn't find it to be any better or worse than prior series. Its major flaw in comparison with earlier series, though, was the length of the episodes.

Brooker's given as much time as he wants, so he fluffs the shit out of those episodes even though they don't need it.

Did you just time travel from January 2018?

My very important ranking:

1- 15 Million Merits
2- Nosedive
3- San Junipero
4- Hated in the Nation
5- White Christmas
6- Shut up and Dance
7- White Bear
8- The Entire History of You
9- Playtest
10- Be Right Back
11- The National Anthem
12- Men Against Fire
13- The Waldo Moment

I second this.

> was the length of the episodes.
Yes, that too. Dunno, to me most stories felt too simple, too mainstream. Not sure how to say this.

>people liked 15 million merits
literally the worst episode after Nosedive

>that top 3

Can you please explain what you all like so much about 15 million merits? I thought it was one of the worst episodes.

best for me.
>san junipero - This is an sci fi idea that I always thought about. Im a sucker for lesbian romance.

>men against fire
truly thought provoking. I was actually disgusted and angered a bit because this could be a reality in the future.

>white bear
I liked the meaning behind this. Makes you understand why its important to punish people and not revel in others punishment

>fifteen million merits
Amazing and thought provoking. A true allegory for what american society is about.
worst.
>playtest
I just didn't enjoy it. I think the idea was taken too far.

>the national anthem
Boring and stupid. I don't get why this was even made.

>shut up and dance
didn't enjoy it. But I could see it being a reality. But it was too unbelievable.

>nosedive
decent idea. but it was boring as shit.

i don't want to spend eternity doing anything. an eternity of consciousness is the most terrifying thing i can think of

>it was BORING

>Best
White Christmas
>Worst
Hated in the Nation

except anyone with eyes and a functioning sexual response can tell that she's clearly hot as fuck

My preference brother

White Christmas is PURE kino

White Christmas and San Junipero are tied for best for me. White Christmas is such a fun fucking episode, even if its a little messy. San Junipero has one of the best plot twists ever.

Shut Up and Dance is another good one. Hated in the Nation and White Bear are other enjoyable ones. I really don't care for Nosevdive, but it isn't bad.

Personally, my least favorite episode is probably Fifteen Million Merits. It was heavy handed even in this heavy handed af series. The comedy felt really forced. Didn't care for any of the characters. Other bad ones are Be Right Back, Waldo Moment, Men Against Fire, and Playtest.

Playtest wasn't that bad, the entire story taking place in a fraction of a second was a neat twist.

Anyone else hate Shut Up and Dance? I just can't stand blackmail episodes. You just know the blackmailer always reveals the dirt in the end anyway, took me out of the whole episode.

Also, White Bear was best episode. Those end credits scenes were hauntingly charming.

Shut up and dance is probably the best. I really like hated in the nation too, I felt the gravity of the loss of that many people, which I think I don't feel is often done well.
The waldo moment is probably the worst for me. I couldn't tell you why, it just is.

>You just know the blackmailer always reveals the dirt in the end anyway

The thing I like about Black Mirror is they typically have a predicable twist and then the actual twist. Like, the twist in Shut Up and Dance isn't the fact the blackmailer reveals the dirt, its the fact that the "hero" we were rooting for all episode turned out to be a scumbag who jacked it to CP. The other major twist is that the boy ended up killing someone and the hacker made it so the boy was found by the police covered in someone else's blood.
