I had that happen with the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre when I was really young. I was really young, and stopped on Encore, because they would occasionally show something cool like Aliens, and it happened to be the dinner scene near the end of TCM, where they cut Sally's finger, stick it in "grandpa's" mouth, and he starts sucking her blood. I turned the TV off, and spent the rest of the night lying in bed, staring at the ceiling with the lights on.
That shit fucked me up hard, especially having no context whatsoever for what I was seeing. I didn't find out about Texas Chainsaw Massacre until years later.
