I am a sucker for paranormal things but honestly the highlight of this movie series has always been the ghost girl, I have yet to see the cartoon but I bet it will be the same.

Marcella is pretty cute too, but not as much as Teodora. I'm surprised Leo kissed her in the first episode, I thought she was going to be the Wendy to his Dipper.
I think the show has a different continuity than the movie series. In the movies, Leo meets the ghosts while on a quest to save his brother, but in the netflix cartoon, he says they just showed up at his door one day. So I guess that means Xochitl (native ghost loli from the first movie) isn't going to be in the show unless they introduce her some other way.
She starts dressing in modern clothes in the 2nd movie. She looked a lot different in the first movie: youtube.com
It's not bad, it probably helps that they have Americans helping to write/produce it like James Krieg, who's worked on Green Lantern the animated series, which is a pretty good show if you haven't seen it.

Honestly, after watching further into the season, the awkward moments, story building, and character moments, I think this show is pretty good. Dunno if it has the appeal to go mainstream, but I'm sure porn/normal artists will latch on to Taedora and the other girl in due time.

Still watching the series. Episode 3 implies Teodora died differently, so I guess this is a different continuity.
Leo got fucked up by some dream demon and passed out. Teodora tells the dragon guy "where she comes from" they have a name for the state Leo is in: a coma.
She then tells the unconscious Leo that she knows "exactly what this feels like."

Seems they're setting something up with Teodora. When they see the medusa, Teodora is somehow immune to being turned to stone. Leo even brings it up later in the episode, but Teodora doesn't explain how it happened (or maybe she doesn't know why herself.)

Hey, the theme song was uploaded to youtube, but it's slightly different than the netflix version. It has pauses where the characters names are shown, and some weird Aztec ball with eyes is at the start. I'm up to episode 5 and haven't seen the ball, so I don't know what significance, if any, it has.

One of the villains refers to him as a conquistador, and an episode that takes place in Germany shows that he worked for a village there to get rid of a monster that was haunting the place. Maybe they'll explore what his life was like when he was living. He's pretty old looking, so I assume he died of old age, but maybe something else happened.

I'd be concerned about watching it in Spanish since the English dub uses a lot of loan words from languages other than Spanish and I'm not sure if those words have Spanish equivalents, but if they do they are almost certainly not any sort of basic Spanish.

Flat but fluid for the most part. There's some occasional jank and the designs vary pretty greatly in quality from great to terrible to odd, but it's by no means below average.
That said, shit can and will be reused.

I'm liking Marcella so far. When I first saw her in the soccer field, I was afraid she's wind up being a mary sue.
I'm sticking with the Spanish dub because I'm used to the voices from the movies and I like that goofy snooty voice Spanish Teodora uses (I kind of have the hunch it'd sound annoying to a native speaker though.)
It's a netflix series, so Anima Estidios isn't doing the whole thing by themselves. One of the Producers was the same guy who worked on Green Lantern: The Animated Series, and Top Draw Inc (who also did the Peabody and Sherman netflix toon) is doing animation
