It's an "interactive" webcomic where every cringy suggestion the readers give makes you want to kill yourself

>it's an "interactive" webcomic where every cringy suggestion the readers give makes you want to kill yourself

Fuck you, Bogleech is absolutely fucking based and Awful Hospital is amazing.

The story's fine. The posters, however, are incredibly autistic.

>Bogleech
>Based

You don't know Bogleech as well as you thino you do.

anytime a story is dictated by fans it will ALWAYS turn into shitty shipping and sex shit, so there is literally no point. Might as well turn it into a porn comic and not bother with the middlemen.

Oh really? Then tell me why he's not, because everything I've seen of him suggests he's a cool dude

Problem Sleuth.

agreed

>interactive webcomic
>author says theyre planning for a interactive game segment type update
>never updates again and dies

There were a few of these in the old mspaint adventure forums

What happened so far in the comic? Got lazy/bored when she found the blue guy

He's a raging sjw

Wrong.

Well he made a comic basically saying "Why do girls go after JERKS instead of NICE GUYS like ME!"

But yeah he witch hunts his fans all the fucking time. He's pestered my girlfriend incessantly after I talked with him because on her facebook she liked a page called "anti feminazi memes" or something.

>Is a poster on the awful hospital comment section

Y-you guys aren't talking about m-me right?

Blue guy is douche/coward but very dangerous murderer, we get to see him turn into a slob and then Crash turns evil and tries to force the commenters to help him kill himself.

"don't ever read the reader comments on anything" applies to suggestions too anonymous

If you completely ignore everything to do with him as a person and just focus on his interesting biology articles and the content of his creative works, I could see how you might get that impression. Just don't go anywhere near his Tumblr and whatever you do, do not read any of the comment sections for Awful Hospital. I learned that last point the hard way when he introduced that blue guy to the comic. Holy fuck I have never seen so many triggered idiots in one place.

Thankfully I can divorce interesting art from the shitty opinions of the artist, so I still like his stuff.

What were they triggered about?

The comic is excusable. I think a lot of guys felt that way at some point. Pestering people on social media over that kind of thing really isn't.

>it's a interactive webcomic
>author seems to bait out certian suggestions
>plot seems prethought out

>bogleech
rundown?

Basically, it seemed like they just absolutely hated the blue guy. Like a visceral reaction bordering on mania. Some of them apparently, in their own words, had "panic attacks", and if anyone in the comments attempted to view the character in a favorable, or at least not explicitly negative light they went completely apeshit.

Mind you, this was literally like one or two pages from Blue's introduction, well before he had actually done anything truly despicable. Apparently the whining got so great so quickly that Bogleech had to come right out and spoil that "no, this character will never be sympathetic, he is a complete monster, I made him to be a punching bag embodying all the traits of real people that I hate and that's that".

> It's CYOA /d/ comic that's abandoned after only a week

>make setting designed to be as hellish, terrifying and utterly incomprehensible to human minds as possible
>throw perfectly normal human being into it
>keep him there for potentially centuries, goes through living hell every day
>make him out to be literal hitler for the crime of giving up on trusting anybody.

That's Bogleech for you. Man strikes me as being one horrible accident away from being a capeshit science villain.

It's funny, even Hussie's next comic went to shit AFTER he stopped taking suggestions.

Bogleech is a blogger/artist who knows a genuine shit-ton about B-list horror (especially body horror/obscure Japanese shit), parasitism, insects, arachnids, molluscs, worms, and other creepy-crawlies. He's also been developing an RPG for a few years that's basically Pokemon, but with Cronenberg monsters instead of cute'n'cuddly critters (it looks cool), and writes a webcomic called Awful Hospital that appears (to my casual knowledge) to be a Lynchian fever dream married to body horror. Lot of people have beef with him because he's also a raging SJW hanger-on (although, refreshingly, he seems far more restrained about letting that bleed into his creative work than others of the same type) who cannot stand dissent and tends to view his political adversaries as unworthy of empathy (highly ironic for him, since he constantly goes on about how things not typically considered worthy of empathy ARE).

Webcomic I'm planning now is monochrome and text/short-animation based like Problem Sleuth, but I'm keeping full control of the story. I'm not an idiot.

I got him confused with Slimebeast for a second, but then I realized I think he's the guy who actively tried to ruin Slimebeast's life during Huge Internet Fight 2014. Yeah then, fuck him if that is how what I'm remembering him as. Slimebeast was such a good guy who was never in your face with his opinions..

>how Homestuck ended
Every time. Fuck the shitty fanbase.

There's really no good way to go about an interactive comic. A small fan base will inevitably form some secret club of long time readers that will push their own narrative, and a large fanbase will have too many wildly different suggestions (80% shitposts) for any sort of overall cohesion.

I love this comic, thanks for pointing out it had updated! It's nice that he does actually take user suggestions, and not only that, but that they are considered central to the story.

Make sure you never read quests of the /tg/ variety

You're making me cry user.

N-no, Kazerad is w-working on the update

lying to yourself isn't good for your mental health user.

It's good for my emotional health

>Apparently the whining got so great so quickly that Bogleech had to come right out and spoil that "no, this character will never be sympathetic, he is a complete monster, I made him to be a punching bag embodying all the traits of real people that I hate and that's that".

When did this happen? I've been following this comic since before Jay ever showed up, and yeah the vitriol from some of the readers was kinda ridiculous, but I don't remember bog ever saying anything like that anywhere.

And it's not like Jay is that one dimensional anyway, he's been through hell and we saw how bad it had been in his journal. Yeah some people still hated his guts, but it's not like it was all one sided, there were people advocating forgiving the guy too. I mean, for a fucking serial killer that's a decent amount of empathy to show to a guy.

I'm reminded of an interactive comic I need help remembering the name of. There were lots of sexy drow elves in SPAAAACE and a lot of the choices the fans were given for the next comic page were always something like

A. Talk your way out
B. Stand and fight
C. Cluck like a chicken
D. HOT LESBIAN ELF SEX

I kek'd hard when the comic people got annoyed because everyone was voting for every single porn option.

I'm amazed those don't devolve into "X kills all Jews in the world"

Is this irony? Bogleech guy is pure cancer.

You're missing what's bad about that comic: he made it, but then turns around and REEEEs about muh feminism on tumblr.

Speaking from experience, if you let sex solve a problem players will try to use sex to solve all their problems.

He hasn't been "developing" his game. He's been talking about it but not actually DOING anything.

They probably filter suggestions to SOME degree.
