Do you miss the early-to-mid 2000s, Sup Forums? Before social media and iPhones became mainstream in 2007 and destroyed the idea of "traditional" childhoods?

You sound like a cynical ass but dude I loved this cartoon as a kid

Hey remember that enormously long porn comic of this?

fuck storefront. there's so many other characters deserving of long-ass porn comics and good western porn comics are hard to come by as is, especially if they're underage

yes

>emo/punk Mary Jane
>qt hipster autist girl (before that was bad sign)

No.

t. Someone who grew up in the 2000s

Yeah, WTF was that about? It jumped all over the place far worse than Anal Assault.

Someone got a link for this?
First I've ever heard of it.

>Liberty's Kids had multiple physical releases including one this month
>most CN shows never will

Yeah. The internet then was godly, even Sup Forums was fun.

Same here yo.

>Do you miss the early-to-mid 2000s, Sup Forums?

No, that's when everything started going to shit via internet and social media uprising, including the quality of cartoons. Most of the cartoons in that era were pretty bad, though there were some exceptions, like Avatar and Samurai Jack. Though cartoons and animation as a whole became absolute fucking trash in the late 2000's. Thank god the 2000's anime craze was there to save it.

>iPhones became mainstream in 2007 and destroyed the idea of "traditional" childhoods?

No, the internet boom in the very early 2000's destroyed traditional childhoods. The 90's were a significantly better time in many aspects - most older millennials actually managed to experience what life was like before the internet rise and many will probably agree that social media is largely unhealthy and addictive and overall happiness and quality of life has worsened from it. Kids and teens actually went out more and were more willing to engage in genuine IRL social activities, from movies to video games.

I can see it through myself over the years. I probably would be much more productive today if it wasn't for social media and the internet being so fucking addictive.

No. 9/11 send the USA down a darker road, and it has colored everything since then, cartoons included

The Internet wasn't really THAT big from 2000-2006, to the point where it consumed our lives. I remember kids my age used the Interent at that time, yes, but we also played outside a lot too. We had a good "balance", it wasn't until 2007 and the rise of the social media that the balance was thrown off, I feel.

t. 22 year old, who was a kid in the early mid 2000s

Unfortunately, this. The terror attacks and everything that's happened since has really retarded our culture.

Cookie Jar licensed their entire library to Mill Creek, which can and will release anything multiple times. They did the same with the entire Crown International library despite it being complete garbage.

>do you miss when every cartoon character was white as snow?

yeah no

As someone who isn't white, go fuck yourself.

you're clearly white on the inside deary

If the race of the characters is more important than the other qualities of a show to you, you might be better suited for tumblr. Or for a helium exit bag.

>race doesnt matter
>but if they add even one minority to a show I'll throw a megatantrum

>but if they add even one minority to a show I'll throw a megatantrum
Whoa, when did I say this, you fucking retard. If you hate a show just because it doesn't pander to your percieved racial quotas, disregarding everything else, then you should absolutely consider suicide daily.

No because early-to-mid 2000's me was a total dipshit

thats because for most of the country it took until about 2004/2005 to get fully off dial-up, and even then the internet was an oddity you spent some time on before going outside or downstairs to play with friends.

When I was growing up, my friends and I all took turns on playing the first Ratchet and Clank until we died, then we passed the controller. We all watched each other play, and shat on each other to make them lose faster so we could play again.

I babysat my 12 year old cousins and some friends a few months ago, and they were doing the same thing with the latest one, except now, whenever it wasn't they're turn they all got on their phones or iPads and watched Youtube vidoes of random stuff. Instead a room filled with laughter and yelling it was always quiet. It freaked me out a little.

>ywn use the internet for ywn have a footie tournament with the local kids again
>ywn try to make KND 2x4 tech from scarps in your garage again
>ywn explore various thematical online forums again
>ywn trade shitty 128b mp3s through infrared of your Sony Ericsson K750 with the local kids again
>ywn watch 2005 CN again
The 2004-2008 timeframe achieved the best balance of social-vs-online. GSMs going from just extremely pimped up phones to mini computers and the popularisation of Facebook and its concept dervivatives is what completely killed the balance in the 2009-2011 timeframe.

Why does tumblr come here? What cartoon brings them here?

Adventure Time
Steven Universe
Marvel in general
