Get told by nerds that only S1 and S2 are good

>get told by nerds that only S1 and S2 are good
>decide to watch it all anyway
>the entire show is pure faithkino and there wasn't really even one (1) bad episode
Why did you lie to me Sup Forums? Is this just yet another case of autistic plotfags being unable to enjoy art?

>he fell for the meme that lost gets worse after s2
what are you, 12?

I only watched season 1 and parts of season 2 before falling off the wagon back in the day, I was completely going by hearsay and I guess I got memed on. Can't believe I didn't watch this sooner

>be retarded
>watch shit
>dude this is awesome lmao

The main problem is it ran for six years but thought the audience was just as stupid as they were when it started. Watching it over the course of a couple weeks will obviously diminish this effect.

It's good throughout though, it has consistently great characters and seamlessly plays with genre while coherently retaining core themes and motifs. The only real problem I see is that there tends to be a lot of spoken exposition from Sayid, but that's par for the course for mainstream television.

brainlets trashed this awesome show for all kinds of reasons, but deep down inside, none of them saw anything as close as good as LOST was

How did you like the "Special Friend Heaven" finale, the deflation of the Dharma Initiative's mystique, and the ruining of Sayid ("I guess I'm evil now lol") in season 6?

Best Episode was Ab Aeterno famalam

You mean you even enjoyed Kate episodes?

Kate is cute

what did they mean by this?

>Take a shot everytime Linus says "Hello Jack"

>"Special Friend Heaven" finale
Perfect ending Tbh
>the deflation of the Dharma Initiative's mystique
What did he mean by this? It was pretty clear from the get-go that they were a typical late 60s - early 70s R. Buckminister Fuller/Silicon Valley type utopian socialists that thought cybernetics and LSD could fix everything.
>ruining of Sayid
I would argue he was pretty much the worst character (outside of flashes), didn't really feel strongly about it.
Didn't feel strongly about it, seems like it would make a decent "late night cable"-type crime flick from the late 90s.

Said was great until his writing went to shit around the time he took a bath into the lazarus pit or whatever that thing was called

I don't know, outside of flashbacks and a few select episode (meeting Rousseau) I felt like he mostly just existed to explain technology to the other characters. He also took torturing people a bit too lightly for a vet with PTSD who swore to never do it again.

you know that sayid didn't decide to become evil right

That, "Across the Sea" and "Dr Linus" are probably my favorite episodes of S6.

Will we ever get another show as great as LOST again? Nothing else has come close to capturing its magic

>tfw super into L O S T since S2 was airing
>loved it, but as an introvert, the community of theorizing and speculating brought me out of my shell which felt even better
>pops had been sick for years and died a few months before the finale
>the scene with jack and christian in the church wrecked me more than anything else had in my life
I get angry at myself for hating people who didn't like the ending.

Every second you spend watching this shit show is a waste of your life.

>there wasn't really even one (1) bad episode

I love lost, but remember that episode dedicated to two side noname characters no one gives a shit about dying

Most people will meme you into thinking it god bad at some point. For some people, it's as early as S2, while others think only the last season sucked. However, the fact is, with the exception of a few shitty episodes here and there, it was great all the way through. Season 6 is a little weaker than the rest, but the finale is the biggest pleb filter of all time.

>kino

Not surprised you enjoyed the dumpster fire that is seasons 4, 5 and 6.

That was literally the best stand-alone episode of any series ever. A perfectly bifurcating "breather" episode of the entire series, and a meta-commentary on the community involved in it.

Refresh my memory user. wth happened to sayid? I can't remember shit.

Shot in the 70s', brought back, died, resurrection in the temple pool went wrong because the light source was fading, got "infected" by MiB.

Uh, Nikki and Pablo? I think that's my fave ep, not sure why...

is Miles /ourguy/?

razzle dazzle

Man that sucks. Always liked sayid, seems like a cool dude.

Did they ever explain the Egyptian hippo god statue thing?

The cycle of survivors has repeated numerous times, and the time before Jacob and Esau was Egyptians instead of Romans.

My man, finally after all these years I have found someone who shares my love for Across the Sea.

There were Egyptians on the island thousands of years ago, when the island was probably in mediterranean sea. That's all there is to is, after years of wear it got knocked down in a storm in 19th century.

>Very introverted autist finally makes a friend freshman year of college
>Friend convinces me to watch Lost despite my hesitation from all the people who said the end is shit
>Enjoy the show all the way through and really bond with friend over our mutual interest
>When Jack becomes protector of the Island tell friend that I really wish it was Hugo
>Jack makes Hugo the protector and tells him to do what he does best and help people
>I jump off the couch and embrace new best friend
>next semester friend drops out leaving me all alone with basically no friends
>3 years later thinking about the end of lost still makes me choke up

When LOST ended, Sup Forums died.
The were some ok Twin Peaks threads, but other than that, nothing even close comparable to /lost/.

Most of the anons that were here during Sup Forums's prime, aka L O S T general, are gone. Whats left is the brainlets and all the Sup Forumsnewfags who are mostly reddit rejects.

Any serious discussion about this show for the last couple of years tends to go "wtf they were all dead this is bullshit" even though they weren't.

tl;dr, the finale always makes me cry bitch tears when Jack talks to his Dad in the church

>It's a Kate episode

>a network tv show that was expressly crafted for normalfags, almost exactly like Walking Dead and now GoT, which had no point is art

The only thing they knew how to do was the cliffhangers. Every episode had that cliffhanger at the end that made you think something important was going to happen, and then in the next episode it's about as important as a fart.

I never understood the hate for that episode. It was actually pretty good and darkly funny.

Kate was fine. Hurley episodes were always bad.

God Lost sucked

>ywn experience LOST again

now watch the leftovers
both of these shows are my top 2
idk how lindelof does it

you just might be in an accident and lose ur memory or something

I like LOST better overall, but S2 of Leftovers is better than any season of LOST.

suggest me some other kino show since u have good taste

The Young Pope is dry but hope-inspiring like Lindelof's 2 series.
Obvs Twin Peaks but I haven't seen S3 yet.
Not a weeb, but Steins;Gate (both the VN and anime) have some heavy fucking feels like LOST with a great sci-fi premise too.

>he died for nothing
It always makes me mad and sad. Do you have any more LOST webms? All I've got are small gifs.

"Stranger In A Strange Land" was a pretty terrible episode. Other than that, I agree the show was pure kino. People who hate it were just too stupid to understand the show.

I hate you so much. Only because I'd love to experience L O S Tagain for the first time

ive watched steins gate
guess ill get into twin peaks

>"What... about... you?"

Black Sails. Starts off slow but has spectacular characterisations and really planned out plot progressions.

Who was in the wrong here?

youtube.com/watch?v=iggE4ImYwyc

It hurts to know I'll never be LOST again.

I never understood why he and MIB were supposed to be the embodiment of good and evil.

Jacob was just as indifferent to everyone's suffering as MIB was. Making Jacob real was a mistake.

>When Desmond calls Penny after promising 10 years ago

What'd ya think of the episode with Expose?

>Jacob was just as indifferent to everyone's suffering as MIB was

>what about you
>never intervened with anything going on because of super vague "rules"
>murdered his own brother
Yeah, he was indifferent.

...

It didn't have anything to do with religion until they shoehorned that last episode in.

LOST truly does go downhill once they "have to go back".

>Watching it over the course of a couple weeks will obviously diminish this effect.

>>be retarded

damn Sup Forumsro that is a sad story

Get out. And never come back.

>65 posts in and not a single L O S T vertical?
You're slipping Sup Forums

no

Fuck off. His only "bad" episode was Dave.

While Jack was one of the best characters, most of his episodes weren't very good. At least not the flashbacks.

It NEVER was about religion. It was about a bunch of people with miserable lives being brought together for a greater purpose.

its almost like they were never all that funny

I want to put my who-who-dilly inside her cha-cha

Hush, pleb.

>I'm insane cause I'm fat and a deck collapsed
>oh and libby was there, but we need to shuffle away her story
Wow, riveting stuff there.

That was fucking tear jerking

>>>/reddit/

(You)

Nothing wrong with being a weeb senpai

>sitting in a church dressed in Sundays best walking into the white light of heaven
>not religious

Do you have a brain?

They were there to move on together. A supposed "funeral" brought them there. Just because they were in a church meant nothing religious. You're acting like they were screaming about Jesus, Buddah, Allah, etc.

Do you have a brain?

it wasn't about a specific religion but the show is explicitly about having faith in a higher purpose beyond the immediate physical world

People didn't like it because it offended their fedora atheist ways (same with the BSG ending).

There are actually people dumb enough to think "they were dead the whole time" was the actual ending.

Having faith is not exclusive to religions only.

The Leftovers comes from the same writer and has that Lost-esque feeling to it

how was it not about religion?

>the series long faith vs evidence arc of locke and jack
>the entire Others organization built up around believing one man would save them
>Mr. Eko's plot

you get the idea

lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/Christianity

ah shit. Ive never watched it but I watched all of The Leftovers and it was my favourite TV show of all time.

I guess I have dozens of hours of top tier content I gotta watch now ugh

seen both
what else does

GAAAH WHERE THE FUCK DID THE EGYPTIAN STATUE COME FROM?!??!

see

I liked LOST, including the ending.
Dunno why everyone hated it.

Atheism was a popular meme at the time.

This pathetic thread, talking about lost
Do the world a favor OP and punch yourself in the face

Technically it is.

>at the time

No it was just a bait and switch show in general.

I wanted more sci-fi and crazy experiments not Jesus.

Did you miss the entire season involving time travel?

The season 5 time jumps when the wheel is off balance was so amazing.

dropped it after the first season, it was obvious from the beginning they were using cliffhangers (or "mystery boxes") to bait brainlets into thinking there'd be some huge payoff
glad to know they never delivered, it's just a shame abrams still has a career after it

>there wasn't really even one (1) bad episode

Razzle dazzle was a funny episode.

There was a bad episode, though. The episode about Jack getting his tattoos. What a fucking waste of time that was.
