I've only watched the first Despicable Me, and my buddy said Sing was only okay, so this doesn't bode well as far as I'm concerned. Their movies are really, really profitable though.

Yep that was what I was worried about, their profit.
I don't care how much the make, just noting how successful they are with people whose taste is different than mine. Also surprised me how relatively cheap they are to make compared to live-action blockbusters.
