Am i the only one who likes the prequels?

Am i the only one who likes the prequels?

If you mean unironically, then yes.

>RLM hates the prequels
>Loved the Force Awakens
That's when I knew they were actual hacks.

I always thought they were decent

Not as good as original trilogy but way better than shitty TFA

You know you're not

theyre the only star wars movies that i like. ep 1 and 3

kys

I like prequels. But fuck TFA and mouse in general.

I never really liked the movies themselves but I'm a lot more interested in the clone war than the galactic civil war as concepts.

Yes George.

Revenge of the Sith is the best Star Wars.
3 > 6 > 1 > RO > 4 > TFA > 5 > 2

you might be the only person that likes starwars
everyone i know thinks its gay nerd shit, me included

TFA was dog shit, the prequels were dumb but they had heart.

I liked all the new tech and that they were of a distinct technological era unlike the rehashes in Last Jedi and Force Awakens

literally everyone on Sup Forums likes the prequels. We all know that 1-3 are kino and episode 7 is disney kike garbage.

No, you just pretend to like them to be a hipster shit.

>It's literally impossible to like a trilogy of movies because Reddit doesn't like them
Yeah, that makes sense.

only good one is Return of the Jedi

First I liked them, then I hated them, now they're growing in me again.

>unironically bragging about not knowing anyone

>But le reddit
You can't defend the movies themselves so you resort to a cheap cop-out. Reddit loves those movies anyway.

in the history of cinema the prequel trilogy was the greatest victim of shitty screenings.
The analog print was absolute garbage. digital projection wasn't common until the last one, and even so the color calibration was completely wrong in most theaters.

Attack of the Clones is my favorite star wars movie

not trolling

Why's that?

i think they are fine.
the OT is not god's gift and the prequels are not the worst thing in existence.

nostalgia alone

RotS is a genuinely good movie, TPM is alright but I'm mad at AotC for so much wasted potential.

No, there are lots of retards on )TV/ or real life, case in point: (especially that guy just now holy shit please don't reproduce)

at least lucas tried new things despite the pottery

mousecucks are the absolute worst. Absolutely delusional from all these years of taking it from Disney jews and being conditioned.

Why does everything have to suck so much in disney waifu wars?

>If you don't like my favourite movies, you're a cuck and a shill!

The prequels objectively aren't good, however ep. 3 is one of the first movies I ever saw in theaters and the one that got me into the franchise so it will always be my favorite.

Me too user. It's shameful to admit, but the Obi-wan/Jango story line is fucking kino

If you cant see why 1-3 are better than ep 7 then you are delusional. There is no saving you.

stupid question faggot

what's good about them at all

5 > 3 > RO > 1 (it only gets memed because of jar jar) > 4 > 6 (it isnt that different from 4 plotwise but with meme creatures and a decent finale fight other than that is pretty mediocre and unoriginal) >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>*powergap*>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>TFA

Think you have that backwards.

Agreed. LOTR Is gods gift to the movie world. Nothing will ever come close.

jay, you've gotta stop. this is pathetic. did mike put you up to this?

Only autistic brainlets like hate the prequels

No, they were part of my childhood.

There's always one...

this

>they said her wans't going to change sides
>she does
gg no re

>Am i the only one

Shame anyone who says this, in any context.

>rewrite all the dialogue
>remove jar jar
>use more actual sets and practical effects
>make the transition between anakin turning bad and killing kids more smooth
These three movies would be some of the best fantasy movies ever if you did those things

nah bro, they're kino - especially revenge of the sith which is "the darkest of the three"

their not bad really when you think about it

go back to twitch please

gave them a rewatch last year and unironically enjoyed them as parts of an expanded star wars universe.

Anakin is supposed to be awkward and annoying. If anything his performance was ahead of it's time as it was hyper realistic of the supreme gentlemen type character he was playing and was a step away from the "gee whiz" Luke character of the OT.

Revenge of the Sith is awesome and not even memeing

Are you under the age of 12?

At least you're honest, user

I only like TPM.

AotC is forgettable and RotS is massively overrated.

Episode 3 is better than 6 and 7

No. I was excited about the prequels. I’m nowhere near as excited about the new movies.

When I was 10 and I went into the cinema and to watch Star Wars episode 1 it aaa the greatest piece of cinema I’ve ever witnessed and I loved every second of it, same for episode 2 and 3

Only if I watch them today I realize the flaws of them, but I don’t care, the child in me still remembers the 10/10 movie experience

>muh cgi

Seriously, this.
Lucas is not a good director/writer, but the franchise was still something he cared about.
Now it's all about fanwankery and test audiences and forced diversity quotas.

>the ot was amazing bec-

why the fuck ki adi mundi have to die

reminder that TFA is a good movie

>first movie should have been on Alderan instead of Naboo. So we have a reason to give a crap about Alderan being blown up later. Plus Senator Organa from Alderan teaming up with Padme is forced, just to connect the skywalker kids to the organa family and alderan.
>should have been dooku and qui'qon, not qui'gon and obi'wan. dooku is a secret sith and maul was his secret apprentice.
>they find anakin as a teen in the Alderan defense forces academy. helps them escape through the blockade by flying the ship. the other pilot is named Lars.
>they crash on tatooine. Lars quits and stays on tatooine. dooku uses dark side force powers to get the ship parts. instead of stupid pod racing. qui'gon notices but does't say anything.
>maul shows up on tatooine and is supposed to kill dooku to replace him as palpatine's apprentice.
>anakin's force powers are revealed on tatooine. too old as a 16 year old to join the jedi. stays as padme's pilot.
>dooku and qui'gon back to alderan to free it. they fight maul. maul reveals to qui'gon that dooku is a sith. dooku kills maul and qui'gon. blames maul for qui'gon's death. gets expelled from the jedi order anyways because qui'gon reported dooku's dark side power use on tatooine.
>obi'wan introduced in the second movie to protect Senator Organa and Princess Organa. Anakin is still there as escort fighter pilot for the Organas.
>anakin, obiwan, and padme go about the second movie plot. though anakin isn't a jedi. though obi'wan is teaching him a little about using the force.
>third movie. due to wartime demands, the jedi order start taking in older force users. anakin is brought in to be obi'wans padawan learner.
>dooku spends the first and second act trying to convert anakin over as his new apprentice. though palpatine is also working anakin over.
>anakin kills dooku at the end of the second act. obi'wan is all like "nooo, how could you?"
>anakin goes sith. palpatine sends him to the lava planet.

...

The prequels are nothing more than a superficial rehashing of OT concepts because HAHA, REMEMBER THAT?
>Why is darth vader space jesus? Because he sold the most toys and therefore must be the most important characters
>Why was thee entire clone army made up of boba fetts? Because he sold toys
>Anakin built c3po to help his mom wash dishes
>There's an astroid chase above genosis because remember ESB??
>That terrible rushed ending of ROTS where Lucas tries to tie the two trilogies together in the most forced way possible

The prequels are only good at one thing: Being toy commercials. Even as a kid, I remember watching the prequels and only caring about the spaceships I hand't collected yet, or thinking about the newest video game to immerse myself in. Lucas cared more about shoving in as much shit as he could on screen that could be sold as toys rather than creating a story and characters that would connect with people. It's the prequel's ultimate downfall, Lucas creates all these cool words and neat designs but can't even make the audience care about whats going. The prequels lack a core central thesis, really they lack any kind of greater meaning other than that lightsabers are awesome I guess

He needs a reason to hate the Jedi, if he doesn't join, he doesn't get to experience hypocrisy of the war and their rules.

That is pivotal for the story, and then there's whole Obiwan problem.

>The prequels are nothing more than a superficial rehashing of OT
Get out mouse shill

oh shutup

so original and inspiring

they built so many sets and minatures, way more than tfa or r1 but here's your (You) anyway.

>recognizing films as being shit must mean I like this other shit film
Nice argument

anakin gets to join in between the second and third movies. where he is basically canon fodder and not treated like a real jedi, expcet by obi wan.

I love them. After many years I found out that people actually hate them. Always was curious why since most of the arguments stands the same for OT. I guess it's the pessimistic and less light hearted nature of prequels unlike OT which basically ends with generic happy ending and is a very light hearted action movie with shallow characters and weak motivations.

and we can jam in Ashoka as Obi'wan's official padawan before he got Anakin.

So Anakin can feel butthurt about being lower in status than Ashkoa, despite him clearly being stronger and more skilled in the force.

>Anakin built c3po to help his mom wash dishes
I know you're baiting but I've heard people actually believing this when it is obvious that C3PO is just a gift an 8 year old boy gave to his mother and was not supposed to have an actual function in the household.

the saddest thing about all this is that tfa cost literally double what ROTS (inflation adjust dollars).

they would be a billion times better without hayden "whiny bitch fag" Christensen

go ahead, prove me wrong

No OP. you're not the only faggot in the world.

I appreciate them more after seeing TFA. But they still aren't very good.

>Alderan defense forces academy

Alderan has no weapons.

Just like your post!

Its by far the most consistently good prequel even if the dooku fight was very underwhelming. That's really my biggest gripe, the rest is pretty solid.

the first 2 were abominations
the last one was somewhat decent

they would still have a Coast Guard/Police force.

someone to keep the pirates away, manage vehicle traffic, etc

how can star wars recover when their just political propaganda movies made by one of them JJ like weinstein who rapes children?

So? Like that’s supposed to make it an less retarded? That’s just makes even more painfully obvious that Lucas him in for REMEMBER C3PO???

It was the script that was flawed, not his delivery. Anyone would sound ridiculous saying those lines. I feel bad for Hayden honestly, the whole experience of the prequels and the backlash kinda spooked him out of Hollywood and he still acts a bit but not much anymore.

THIS

It’s unironically good. Very rewatchable

Maybe
