Rombpots of Shitwood

Reminder this title didn't make sense because they removed the reveal of the bad guy being a robot due to ISIS.

this is the kind of person you find on TARDISposting, even after World Enough and Time

Its too bad, the leak version was kino.

Post this.

And I suppose Peter Capaldi is a "retard who has no fucking clue about the show" then?

It can't remember. Was it cut out of all official releases or just the broadcast version?

Sadly I have seen the same exact critique several times on elsewhere. We did not deserve Moffat.

i've always made a point of calling him doctor who in conversation because it's okay out of universe - "the doctor" could refer to a real life doctor, "doctor who" is pretty clearly referring to the time traveller
anyone who says that shit in the screenshot is just trying too hard to seem like a knowledgeable fan when it really doesn't matter

Every version. It can only be seen in the leak version.

Well that's fucking stupid.

LADS

tbf most people who call the character "Doctor Who" are "retards" who have no idea about the show. Capaldi just does it cos he's old.

what?

>Christel Dee
Is she literally inescapable? She'll be in my nightmares next.

hi tardisposting

she'll be in your night club next

yeah
He got his head cut off but stayed alive because he was a robot. but then ISIS released a video of them cutting a guy's head off so the BBC cut the scene. Now there are robots in the episode but no robot is more prominent than the others so it's not clear who the singular "Robot of Sherwood" is supposed to be

Looks like the wedding that was supposedly being filmed earlier was Ryan and Yasmin's. Yasmin/Ryan confirmed for the new Amy/Rory.

Will it be comfy?

>this title didn't make sense
It still obviously did, since robots played such a huge role in the story and the Doctor kept speculating that Robin was one.

Yes.

Any source on that whatsoever?

They didn't even include that as a deleted scene on the blu-ray.

How original. Next you'll be telling me they're also humans from modern-day England.

>twitter.com/SirMattOfWhelan/status/930856187624640521

Whelan claiming that people who were nearby saw parts of the filming, so take it with a pinch of salt.

Was he the one who lied about 80s Cybermen in TDF?

Every time people bring that up, why do they never realise Nardole wasn't a human from modern day England?

that was a real pisser

Yep, he also claimed that Twelve would regenerate at the end of TDF, with Thirteen making their first appearance.

What 8/Charley audio should I get comfy with?

Seasons of Fear

Reminder that Ian is dead and Facebook killed him

Nardole looked and sounded like a human from modern day England and we never even found out where he was from or what his culture was like. Some alien.

hoodie

yeah, he was just matt lucas but they said he was an alien robot and he made some whirring noises once.

Literally name one companion who wasn't K-9 or Kamelion who was an alien that didn't look and act human.

I'm not really defending the classic series either in that regard, although I imagine the "looking human" part was because they didn't have the time or money for decent makeup. NuWho has no such excuse.

Okay but literally why did the Cybermen say "we are human point two" in The Age of Steel? How did that line make it into the final episode?

The idea is that they're an upgrade or something

I know, but it'd make sense if they were Human 2.0, but they're Human.2 which makes no sense and I can't tell if it was done intentionally or not but it's fucking hilarious either way

What's /who/ with you?

Hey guys someone get in the stream and watch Doctor Who with me.. I know only faggots watch Doctor Who but I'm making an exception just this once. It's a rainy day. I'm thinking 4th Doctor

Halfway through The Ultimate Treasure.
It's a fairly decent story that has me invested in how events pan out for the treasure hunters but the spelling and grammatical errors are distracting. I don't believe anyone proof read it.

>I don't believe anyone proof read it.
>late Wilderness Era
there's the reason

Just finished Fearmonger, looking forward to starting Evelyn kino tomorrow. Also daily reminder fanfare for the common men is fucking pure kino and anyone who likes Doctor Who and The Beatles should listen to it. Nice Hartnell btw

Planet of Evil's just started in /cws/

Watching planet of evil

kino in the stream?

Just finished The Ancestor Cell and... it was everything I hoped it'd be. Everything between the Doctor and Father Kreiner was so good, and the confrontation was exactly what I was waiting for. The ending was very bittersweet, and I'm sad that I have to get through a few books before the inevitable reunion of the Doctor and Fitz, especially because I've heard conflicting opinions about the stories in that intervening period.

I know The Ancestor Cell is a controversial book on the whole (generally for how it deals with Faction Paradox and concludes the War arc) but I really, really enjoyed it. And now I've also got enough to start planning my ST2.5 fic properly... although, I've still got reviews to write up for ST2, and uni work to get through first. Also, I don't think there's anyone else on /who/ quite as invested in Father Kreiner's whole journey as I am (though I may be wrong!) so, in a way, it's less for ST2.5, more for myself. If I'll never know "officially" what happened in those unseen thousands of years, then I'll sure as hell think it up myself.

If it's an ebook version, it might suffer from the same problem that a lot of the EDAs do. Basically, in conversion to a digital format, some words were poorly scanned and approximated, so there's typos and grammar errors and missing punctuation all over the place. You get used to it after a while, I suppose. I've only encountered a few typos that outright confused me as to what they were originally trying to say.

Leaked image from Twice Upon a Time, got some of that Talalaykino

The Doctor pushed her spectacles up the bridge of her nose. Trouble was afoot in the Kingdom of Bohemia. Cometh the hour, cometh the Gallifreyan.

Actually really enjoyed this episode. Very funny and feels complete. Very good sets and good direction.

I said a while ago that I read this book out of sequence about 5 years ago and didn't have a fucking clue what was happening. I think the only reason I picked it up in the first place was because the cover art was nice.

describe the character she played in Doctor Who without googling

JAVIT! FROM GRIDLOCK! ICONIC!

Can someone upload Shit Trips 2? The link in the wiki is not working for me for some reason.

>black man marrying a brown woman

At least try and make your fake spoilers believable

Lorna, maybe?

>If it's an ebook version
I WILL NEVER STAND WITH EBOOK VERSION.
This has commas missing (especially before name) and several spelling errors.
My favourite being after describing how bored someone was and writing "bored" at least four times (repetition is a writing skill btw) he goes on to write BOARD
AAAAAAAAA

...

Nardole isn't the main companion like Bill and Clara.

mediafire.com/file/3ujbbhg6ennf5uf/shit_trips_Vol_2_really_Final_Ver.pdf

>his pupils may be having their photos taken with Jodie Whittaker later
Not if Adam Orford has anything to say about it

Yeah... there's a lot of EDAs that could be read on their own and generally understood, but The Ancestor Cell really isn't one of them. It leans so heavily on some previous books (primarily Interference, but also some elements from The Shadows of Avalon and The Fall of Yquatine, amongst others) that I really don't think a new reader would even have a hope of understanding what's going on. If you've read the books in sequence up until that point, though, I find it's a satisfying conclusion to the story arcs that had been previously set up. Though, I'm very certain that a lot of people would disagree with my thoughts on it.

So, i-it's not the ebook version? In which case, the errors are just a bit disappointing then. My favourite typo from Doctor Who books in general is when it notes the Doctor having lots of "back hair" instead of "black hair." Or maybe it wasn't a typo. I'm not sure I'd like to know, if that's the case.

Doctor Who is dead.

The Doctor was regenerating.Lady tiiiiiime. Muscle and bone was being shorn off in some areas and added to others. He shrank. His chest and hips began to sting and inflate. His once proud Gallifreyan penis morphed into a clitoris. His face cracked and reshaped as his eyes turned blue. Auburn rivulets cascaded down his back.

It's a play on the film title Robin of Sherwood.

Doctor Who has truly lived up to the name of its Season Finale. It has fallen to a new low. Given that this new season has gone out of it's way to slide in at least one unneeded and unwanted Liberal comment every episode, and given that there were more snide comments about Donald Trump than cool sci-fi tidbits about the TARDIS (I've counted) I can clearly say that this season has been all about 2-3 socialist writers pushing the Liberal Agenda at least once an episode every episode, and thus ruining the whole Season. For this reason I have cancelled my order of the DVD's from this season and will not be purchasing anymore.

Pushing the Liberal Agenda, turning the show into a Venue to promote propaganda, and going above and beyond to sling mud at the Vatican, The President, and everything that's not PC, has earned a new low for what was once a great show.

This show was great the first couple episodes, hooks you, and then subtly starts shoving PC beliefs first in your face, then down your throat. I'll admit the original Star Trek was like this also but there was something subtly different about the show. Dr. Who is blatantly PC to the point ad nau·se·am . Politically Correct 1. The laws of moral and ethical relativism; all systems of cultures and thought are equal in value, steming from a perceived guilt from white liberals who believe that the Western Civilization is the root of all evil to the exclusion of all else. 2. A powerful form of censorship. abbr: PC Political correctness has a basic flaw. If all views are equal, why do some who embrace this view feel the need to push this agenda as the "correct" one at the same time demonizing other views as "incorrect"? Politically Correct A method of controlling and dictating public speech and thought. See: Newspeak in George Orwell's 1984

I thought the bit with the Mask was really cool, but I remember nothing about the book - I read most of it in a B&Q carpark.

"You tempt me, Clara. You are the fire in my veins, tormenting me."

>given that there were more snide comments about Donald Trump than cool sci-fi tidbits about the TARDIS
Can you tell me what they were? I happen to share his first name so I was just curious how he and any other Donalds are portrayed in the show.

There's a lot of masks in the book, user! Do you mean when one of the Faction agents pulls off her "face"? That's probably the only significant mask-related moment I can think of, because all the others are just the usual. Unless I'm forgetting something entirely.

That's the one, alright.

Back once again its the renegade Master

what the fuck is his hair.

How you want your hairline senpai?

HE'S EVOLVED

The Doctor's Liberal Agenda was pushing out a fanny. New parts. Lady parts.

>2-3 socialist writers
Which Series 10 writers are open socialists? I'm not aware of any.

Post aesthetically pleasing monsters/enemies - alternate designs are also fine.

(I should point out that this is off the copypasta page on the wiki)

Nice try.

Congratulations on closing a big chapter in your readthrough! Father Kreiner is maybe my favorite arc in the EDAs -- tooootally unrelated, but you should really read "Dead Romance", btw.

Honestly besides the generic "Time Lord economics" / "Faction Paradox as a big bad enemy" / "Grandfather Paradox appearance" complaints, there's a lot to love in TAC. The aforementioned mask bit and the paragraphs where the Panopticon keeps losing sides are spectacular imagery. It wouldn't be controversial if it was completely terrible, right? And I think you'll like what's to come.

Also in case you missed it, I posted some stuff for you at One thing a lot of people have said about TAC -- not sure if I agree with them -- is that it's such a targeted "fuck you" to Interference. It doesn't even try to resolve the mystery elements from Unnatural History or The Blue Angel or The Taking of Planet 5 or The Infinity Doctors or any of the other books that build off of the War arc, really; it just targets Interference.

But hey user, you should have skipped TAC and started with the next book, The Burning. I've actually always wanted to try and introduce someone to Doctor Who as a whole with The Burning and the subsequent novels; I think it'd be a pretty unique experience.

I got a DM from someone on Twitter

this is for yesterday's "No Romantic Doctor" user

youtube.com/watch?v=fW9cjGC9P10

Oh, so you're the A-dumb Orford account? If you are... it's kinda sad that all your /who/ posts are about Adam and you have a twitter dedicated to it. Don't get me wrong, I love making fun of Adam as much as the next guy but if you're obsessing with him that much, does that make you any different to him?

Remember that user who said it was Moffat who invented the concept of Doctor/companion romance?
I'd like to see him explain this.
