How does Sup Forums feel about genderbent characters in comics OR cartoons?

Neither good nor bad in concept. Depends on the execution.

>if you put men in clothes and poses intended to showcase the female form they look ridiculous

woah

Isn't that kind of the point though? Not everything needs to be serious.

>ridiculous
Ridiculously hot maybe.

>they look ridiculous
Haha yeah... r-ridiculous

Haha where did they even get something so ridiculous haha can anyone tell me?!?

Ew

I prefer traps to this

why is harley a fat neckbeard?

Man Harley could fucking get it, r u ok?

If you're going to genderbend hot women at least make them attractive men

wouldn't an R63 Powergirl just be Giorno Giovanna?

Is that a Jojo reference?

>men don't look good in female clothes or poses
>women look great in men clothes or poses

IT'S NOT FAIR

If you're not attracted to the guy on the right you're not gay

I think this artist doesn't know what guy butts look like. They're boxier because we have narrower shaped hips.

Do you only fuck skinny white twinks or something? There are men with asses like genderbent Catwoman irl

Boy, these sure are dumb and gay. Post more images exactly like this so I can laugh at how dumb and gay they are.

The originals are sexy women in sexy clothes.
Is OP's image what girls consider sexy?

Fuck - Kill - Marry

Come on OP, where's the rest?

I could go for another round or three.

>Complaining women are sexualized in comics
>Implying men aren't physically fucking perfect to the level reached only by star athletes and professional bodybuilders/supermodels
>Implying that this, combined with the general heroic fantasy and romanticism inherent to comics wouldn't make them sexy as FUCK to all but the most hardcore contrarians
>Implying that a good chunk of the movie industry (particularly the action and romance genres) don't revolve around finding attractive people and keeping them that way for as long as possible

>Complaining about attractive people in fiction in the first fucking place

OP's image is what (some) gay men consider sexy. Personally I think they all just look like trashy whores.

women don't like the male body, and there aren't enough gay men to buy this kind of stuff. If they were making it because consumers wanted it on it's own merits, I wouldn't object. But they are just making it to push some political statement.

haha

It's funny, because most girls in Harley Quinn costumes look like this

Hawkeye Initiative, son.

If putting an attractive man in place of an attractive woman ruins the image for you, you aren't trying hard enough.

I totally get that men are sexualized basically everywhere else, but the "Hi I'm Batman, look at my arms that are thicker than the Joker's torso" trope is more meant to be a thing to appease guys somehow. Apparently chicks don't like things to be TOO muscly, fuckin' fags that they are

why is Selena black?

Hackeye initiative the most self-congratulatory shit I've ever seen.

Same reason Powergirl is Mexican

Jokes on then Wildcat from JSA dresses exact like that

Doesn't mean it isn't funny as all hell.

It's also not wrong.

any one have the Giorno edit?

>twink black batman
wew Willis

The Batman she described is LITERALLY Terry McGinnis, and he was drowning in pussy.

But (straight) women do like the male body wtf

I couldn't just save one and not the other, user

I felt that it was wrong given how most of the drawing gave hawkeye a "twink" body figure.

I want to fug female Kira

The cuck meme's been here longer than any of us thought

Even a female Kira would look just like David Bowie, huh?

Most of the women aren't given buff, craggy bodies in the images, so making him slender and improbably well-endowed matches up pretty well.

Sexualization of women doesn't both me, it's just that men aren't sexualized enough. Just having them be a hulking brute isn't enough

It's actually closer to how Dick looked as Batman during Morrison's run, which I'm pretty sure was actually god damned happening at the time Willis made that strip.

I want to run my tongue up and down those legs.

Okay but how DO you sexualize a man?

I'm pretty sure chicks don't just like to look at moose knuckle.

Nightwing was sexualized as fuck, his butt was probably used more than all the DC characters together

That's just it though, there's so many nuances to what makes a man sexy to a woman, and that's before entering fetish territory. Young stud working in the corn field? Italian model getting out of the pool? Middle-aged socialite in a suit? Strapping athlete at the gym? None of those are fetishes, but they have the potential to get a woman gushing harder than Niagara.

Men, on the other hand, are turned on if the woman is in a healthy condition and naked, and everything after that is suddenly labeled as "fetishing" the woman. Fishnets? Tights? Spats? Leotard? ZR? Those are considered fetishes for some reason.

So I ramble with all that to end with: I think you sexualize a man by having him do normal every-day stuff that makes him look sweaty or successful.

they honestly do not like it the same way.

Gay men like the male body in almost the exact same way that straight men like the female body. straight women like the male body in a very different way.

this is why PlayGirl magazine sold mostly to gay men, even though it was created by and for women. it's why it still managed to fail in an economic environment without any real competition. the type of porn that women like is not primarily visual, but just uses some visual aids to go along with story driven relationship-porn.

Okay but is the butt for chicks? Do they care?

Or is it all just gay dudes who won't shut up about it?

from what i've heard yes women like da butt

Gay dudes. It's the same thing with BBC and other physical fetishes of dudes, it's 90% gay men chattering about it and the rest are women with a specific fetish. It's just that men aren't socially allowed to start topics on these things in open forums, so women have to open with great theses like "Our Favorite Olympic Swimmer Bulges" and "Hunky Actor's Secret Gym Routine!" or whatever gets plastered on mainstream media's internet pages.

I'm strait but dammit that Power....boy- oh god that name.

I don't care if I'm going to be called out or not, but this just looks wrong, unimaginably wrong in nearly every sense.

I'm entirely fine with gays, but I simply will never understand (or accept) transexuals.

The only one that is really weird is the Powergirl one, the others just look like male strippers

The one that bothers me most is the Harley one. There's something about the short pants and the exposed stomach and general bulk, plus the beard, that ticks me the wrong way

But from a purely visual/aesthetic aspect, I'm assuming all the men you described are physically fit, with low body fat and good musculature? And that's what the comic books are complaining about, is sexy women when the most popular male body type among women is sure to be thin and fit.

Of course there are variances depending on who you ask like the farmboy/football player fantasy, but that's like if you asked Sup Forums whether they wanted thicc librarian or a goth loli. People have different tastes.

How is that even a question? Oil him up, have him wear less clothing, do fanservice-esque angles etc.

Catman's butt needs to be more muscular
other than that, no problem with the OP image

oh, and it'd be cool to see harley and peej dye their facial hair, but that's just me nitpicking

Show me exactly what you mean by a "fanservice-esque" angle on a man.

>the type of porn that women like is not primarily visual, but just uses some visual aids to go along with story driven relationship-porn.

More or less, female sexuality works off a circumstantial basis. It's all about what the situation is an WHO the individual is rather than their actual appearance. On the most shallow and commonly shared level, women are revved by a situation where the man is making her 'his' (does not have to involve sex) and the man is successful in some definition of successful be it legal, illegal, or esoteric.

Of course male sexuality isn't entirely based on caveman style see and pop a boner. Men are sensitive to circumstance as well, which can either taint an image or make a mundane one exciting. Which leads to a terrible disconnect between the sexes where women are incapable of understanding men, and men can understand women but are convinced they don't because women insist it's impossible (based on their own bias that they can't understand men so the reverse is impossible).

It also leads to the terrible phenomenon where a woman assumes a man HAS to have a sexual response to all visual stimulus because they can't understand visual sexual stimulus as a concept.

These never work because they're putting men in women's clothing as opposed to men in sexy men's clothing

I mean I get it point made, just saying

>Daddy's Lil' Monster

w-wew

anyone got anymore?
please no overly twinky Hawkeye
regular Hawkeye would be fine though

Do you by chance use the word "roastie" on a regular basis?

I don't know what the hell that means.

I'm just shitting in to the wind and seeing how people respond. Shitposting can be an opportunity to learn. Humor me.

Oh

Okay.

Yeah I'd say you're largely right. I mean, some women can lean towards bears, twinks, or traditional prettymen, but for the most part chicks seem to enjoy more abstract factors when it comes to porn/sexy shit

...

To put my post in a less bait phrased manner:

Men and women are both turned on by the 'story' around something, but for men it's the image that can tell a story itself. At least this is what I think. The subtle difference, I believe, can create a fundamental misunderstanding of what's going on with men for women.

>Neither good nor bad in concept. Depends on the execution.

TRUE. Proof is Earth 11

...

>Black Cat -wo-man

TRIGGERED

This has been explained so much that people forget to keep explaining it.

Characters with personality flaws are interesting and compelling. If you write one without any, they are boring at best. Political Correctness is so out of hand that female characters aren't allowed to have any flaws without a massive outcry accompanying it.

Gender swapping a male character cheats the system, and as far as political correctness is concerned anything once a male is always male even if it's got a female body.

> Batlady and aqualass not somewhat more buff than shown.
> Wonderman not decked out in SUPER ROMAN ATTIRE FOR THE GRACE OF MIGHTY ZUSE.

Personal nitpicks aside, they look fine enough, only reason i dont go for superlass is she's a motherfuckin ailen, can be whatever the fuck look she wants.

For a laugh?

Because it's sexy?
