you can't do MOST of what that show did in a kids' show. late-mid-90s CN was a strange place indeed, as if they had no faith in their viewership numbers and figured nobody would really notice. I mean the anime might have been censored but it was still the kind of raunchy shit that would have gotten you shot in the early 90s. We were gearing up to something really great, I think, and 9/11 ruined it.. but honestly TV was already starting to suck in '98-99 in a lot of areas. certainly Disney Afternoon was given canceling gargoyles in favor of shit like mighty ducks. WB's funny-cartoon dynasty was dwindling down to the inbred dregs of Histeria and Channel Umptee-3, their action animation was getting increasingly kiddified with static shock and fucking zeta project. but CN kinda came out of nowhere, just like nickelodeon did as the 90s started.

Yes, but like most of the quasi-adult humor in Regular Show, they cut it for the UK broadcast and then began using the UK cut for all reruns in the US.
