South Park S21E08

>She's kinda like Cartman, but with the ability to follow through.

Here we go, the boys have been replaced. We officially have something worse than Cartman.

Welcome Heidi Turner.

Nobody fucking cares what you think you wasted of resource, kill yourself now.

Will do. Thanks.

>tfw kyle will still be alone
poor bastard

I found Gerald guys

This show needed to die several seasons ago. It doesn't even have occasional good episodes anymore, it's all unfunny garbage.

it kinda got interesting.

was expecting the nfl bears to be fans.
its funny how she didnt even transforemed to a hard shell or something...or st least turning into a non white..but anyways.

i tear alittle at the end.

i was feeling bad about the bears...

>water bears are confirmed taylor switft loving nazi bears

Why did they use two literal whos instead of bebe and red?

IDK I was so confused who was who, until we found the shitty kenny, without a speech impediment, but is wenndy kyle? or is she stan?

Last week's was pure kino

wendy is stan, because they're in a relationship

yeah that was odd.
I smirked at the nfl fans bit but yeah they should wrap the show up

They still make this show?

The retirement home was one of the best episodes in years but it looks like it's the only good episode of the season just like cock magic.
The show sucks, the new game is mediocre. The phone game is actually some how entertaining but riddled with hackers (people who emulate phone on PC can exploit an energy but that lets them shit out cards)

and somehow people still watch it

what's more pathetic, people still watching a show that is occasionally enjoyable or you going out of your way to go into a thread for a show you don't like telling people how awful it is and how stupid they are for watching it. i'll let you decide.

Why do people over the age of 14 watch this?

>still watching South Park

the same reason people still listen to new metallica and eminem albums

hope

Stan and Wendy are both leaders and hippies.

Literally fuck the English language.

i thought it was a fun episode, best of the season so far

its better now than it was during the mid 00s desu

if youre able to enjoy television you dont belong here

cringe

I agree. dem water bears

It's true though. It's true for every board. Sup Forums hates music, /p/ hates photography, Sup Forums hates games...

>DUDE NFL LMAO
>HAHA DUDE NO ONE WATCHES THE NFL LOL GET IT!?!?! XDXD

how many times have they made the NFL the butt of the episode? I don't live in burgerland, I'm sick of constant shit like this. I don't care about Trump jokes I've heard before, I don't care about recycled jokes about the NFL, and I don't particularly care about this relationship nonsense (considering past relationship episode have always been subpar). They spent 3 episodes tracking the same ground with cartman x Heidi, they should have just turned Heidi into cartman in the second episode of the story arc.

Tell me I'm not the only one who feels like this.

...

Season plot archs were a mistake. All it did was cause the jokes to suffer and be recycled at the expense of some shitty plot. Compare the variety of main jokes each episode back in season 8 to the jokes now.

Season 8
>Episode making fun of anime and shitty mall ninja weapons
>Episode making fun of steroids and the special Olympics
>Episode making fun of the Passion of the Christ
>Episode making fun of dance battle movies
>Episode where Cartman pretends to be a robot to trick Butters
>Episode making fun of Michael Jackson
>Episode spoofing the illegal immigration issue
>Episode making fun of elections
>Episode making fun of Walmart
>Episode where the boys have to deal with a fuckup they made back in preschool
>Episode making fun of media sensationalism
>Episode making fun of tabloid celebs like Paris Hilton
>Episode where cartman becomes a psychic detective
>Woodland Christmas critters episode

Notice the variety of topics, and how many of them are not even spoofing a current event or trend, but are just the boys having a stupid adventure.

Season 21
>Episode spoofing Charlottesville
>Episode making fun of Trump
>Episode making fun of increased victimization
>Episode making fun of fake news
>Episode making fun of the Opioid crisis
>Episode making fun of sexual abuse witchhunt in Hollywood
>Episode making fun of Trump
>Another NFL episode

6 of the 8 episodes deal with the current left vs right divide going on in America, with the other 2 episodes also being political hot topics at the moment. There isn't a single episode that is just some stupid adventure the boys get caught up in like in Good Times with Weapons or Awesom-O. Every episode is super politically charged and that gets tiring in an era where everything is becoming political. Is it too much to ask for them to tone it down and just go back to the shows roots a little bit?

its almost as if you can't please everyone all the time, negativity is more fun to espouse than positivity, so when there are sufficient people in a place to form a representative sample of "everyone" then there will be wall-to-wall expression of distaste for everything.

or is that just crazytalk and its much easier to believe, at heart, everyone is exactly the same (read: like you) and people just pretend to get reactions?

Yeah, that's crazytalk.

Getting real tired of it to be honest.

skankhunt please

This was the first ep that wasn't centered solely around politics/attacking trump but it still was weak as fuck

>Episode making fun of steroids and the special Olympics

That episode was extra brilliant because jimmy's arc was copy/paste from an after-school-special about steroid abuse. Which was apparently shown in schools enough (they sat me through it too) that enough kids were confused and amused by it that it became an episode.

Of course dance battle movies, adam sandler, michael jackson, illegal immigration, the bush vs gore election, walmart, BUHRITNEY WAUCH, and paris hilton, were all topical current events arcs. As southpark has always done those, to an extent.

This is your average American prime time poster

correction: that's clearly late night china/aus

Also special olympics was steroids in professional sports

i miss those episodes where they threw caution to the wind and had the entire male population in south park participate in a gigantic gang bang in hopes of killing the future generation that had gone back in time

No memes, the passion of the Christ episode was the worst South Park episode of all time. You can see that Matt and Trey were seething throughout the entire thing, the jokes just weren't funny at all, like you just knew they were stewing in rage while they were writing that episode. Don't know what Mel did to cause them such anal devastation desu.

Still waiting on those "Awesome-O" episodes we were promised this season...

why is Sup Forums filled with christians in a constant state of moral panic

My point is more that the spoofed topics used to be more varied instead of just being about politics and left vs right. It seems like a solid 80% of the new episodes either deal with the election or alt-right vs SJWs. Sure we'll get the odd avengers vs justice league spoof type episode, but a major part of the plot will be dealing with something super politically charged like fake news. I'm just fucking tired of this election that never seemed to end, can media just get over it and move on to something else? These culture wars are fucking played out.

I like Mel Gibson and his movies but the sadomasochism jokes were pretty spot on. He really does love including torture porn in his films.

>Season plot archs were a mistake.

This. One off episodes like chicken lover are still infinitely better than the multi episode bullshit they keep doing.

>why is Sup Forums filled with christians in a constant state of moral panic
Go and watch it for yourself, they're so upset it's unreal.

or maybe you're retarded and incapable of not seeing your moronic politics in everything because you think they matter.

Not him, but I'm English and I see it as well. I'm not so knowledgeable when it comes to American politics, but even I can tell that it's been all over this season.

Are you claiming that the vast majority of the episodes this past season weren't political? I'm not even American so I don't really give a shit what happens in your country, just tone down the political overtones that's infecting most of your media right now.

The idea of cartman getting a girlfriend, convincing her she's eating vegan fried chicken, and the girlfriend turning into him, and him hating himself would've been a great single episode. But instead its stretched across ten episodes. Which is the problem with the season arc crap. Its still ten episodes worth of material, except the weak material won't go-the-fuck-away and drags down anything else that's remotely interesting they might field.

>haven't watched newer seasons
>decide to watch some scenes on youtube
>hear cartmans new voice
JUST
youtube.com/watch?v=Q-r37iZXn9o
youtube.com/watch?v=CviUu4Sdxls

>thy blatant Taylor Swift endorsement
How much do you think they got paid? I miss the days of “Okama Gamesphere, Chimpokomon, and Cheesey poofs” now you just have the boys playing actual footage of Assassins Creed and constant real world name dropping and products

Season 8 was absolute kino

Same. Back in July I’m sure Trey was hopefully but when he sat down in the writers room I guess he realized it was much harder to make interesting and unique storylines than to hit regurgitate the evening news. Biggest bait and switch bullshit

>The idea of cartman getting a girlfriend, convincing her she's eating vegan fried chicken, and the girlfriend turning into him, and him hating himself would've been a great single episode.
Holy shit this. Instead we’ve been dealing with the Heidi/Cartman plot for nearly 20 episodes! 2 entire fucking seasons!

so edgy

Stans voice also sounds off as fuck like he needs to clear his throat or something. I mean I guess it works for him because he’s the oldest I think and they could just say it’s a puberty thing. I dunno if Trey just can’t do the voice right or the software they use to pitch the voices is off but it’s jarring

Season 8 was probably my top season next to season 4. It was really consistently good with maybe only 2 weak episodes

I think everyones voice has gotten deeper, even butters sounds different in that scene.

I don’t know, Butters tap dancing scene was pretty great

>Shit tier
>>You got F'd in the A
>Let's see you DANCE sucka you've got nothing on me
I liked it better than the Walmart episode because it was a Butters episode.

i got something in my front pocket for you
why dont you reach into my pocket and see what it is?

It's actually a pretty good story describing abusive relationships and what people will go through to justify themselves to other people desu.

This is b8 right? you're telling me that this season was better than seasons 8-11?

Why is Jimmy in the special ed class? He's not retarded, just handicapped.

>You got F'd in the A
>shit tier
t.dumbass

It is, in fact, bait.

Yeah but people don’t watch South Park for a well written insight on abusive relationships. You know somethings wrong when you write a comedy show without any jokes. “The water bears are fans of the NFL!” Haaaaa...

I'll admit it's been awhile since I've seen that episode, I just remember hating it because it combined two things I hate: Dance battle episodes and that stupid trope of one character being really good at something but swearing to never do it again because of some dark event in their past.

Childhood is liking Randy episodes. Adulthood is realizing that Butters episodes are better.

>its funny how she didnt even transforemed to a hard shell or something...or st least turning into a non white..but anyways.
What did he mean by this?

Randy episodes weren’t a thing in my “childhood” though. He was actually a great character up until about 3 or 4 years ago. 2 guys in a hot tub is 11/10

Will we ever get South Park on par with Bigger, Longer and Uncut again? That whole movie really was the pinnacle of Southpark.
>Focused on the core boys having an adventure
>GOAT music numbers
>the boys still have their childlike voices, making the swearing and dialogue funnier
>Cartman isn't doing some le epik superevil plot, he's just an asshole who swears a lot
>adult characters are almost entirely original characters, and not just celebrities
>Satan x Saddam
>every Kenny scene is pure kino

youtube.com/watch?v=LonKGuS9uuQ

Yeah 2 Guys is GOAT, but Randy episodes started going to shit after that episode where the internet runs out and they go to California.

Trey really is great at writing songs. I love it whenever a song pops up.

He can even make a PSA parody great.
youtube.com/watch?v=AXHZaDiBKsU

Yeah that’s true. I feel like I didn’t mind it as much because Randy wasn’t done to death up at that point

Wendy is moralistic like Kyle.

Which character is it Sup Forums?

So if Wendy is the new Stan, then the brown haired girl is Butters and the one with the twin puffs is Kyle?

this episode had potential if the sea bears enlarged (after the sabotage) to become crab people
would have been top fucking kek

I swore when the guy removed his sunglasses he was going to transform into crab people. I’m still upset that PC principal didn’t end up being crab people
>originally tries to weaken men by making them all weak and metro sexual
>comes back to weaken men by making them all PC
it practically writes itself

just goes the show mat and trey lost touch with their creative genious
may be they should drop more hits of acid for the next season

They just got old.

Craig

“You’re getting Old” should’ve been the series finale

>no Let's Fighting Love
>no Fighting Around the World

He said movie songs

>He didn't think Mel Gibson being a psychotic Daffy Duck wasn't one of the funniest gags in the series

youtube.com/watch?v=RrudCISD2a0

>“You’re getting Old” should’ve been the series finale

It looked like it was intended to be. Maybe the producers made them an offer they could not refuse.

>The retirement home was one of the best episodes in years
marginally better than the zucc episode and you say it's the best in years? Wow that's sad, I could barely finish it.

no, not even close. Every single episode of the past 3 seasons (at the least) have been worse. It's not a great or memorable episode imho but worst? no way in hell

You are pathetic.

>"What the fuck is wrong with your ovaries, bitch?!"

Parker and Stone have repeatedly stated they were pressured by pretty much EVERYONE (CC, their friends, and fans) into doing Passion of the Jew. They initially did not want to do the episode because they thought mocking it was too predictable but EVERYONE wanted them to spoof it and they caved.

>Let's Fighting Love is the greatest south park song and you missed it off the list.
>ishygddt

Mel Gibson in Passion of the Jew was one of the best "celebrity guests" they've ever done.
Cartman becoming Hitler was a bit forced, like an obvious reaction to needing to one-up himself from episodes like Scott Tenerman.

But episode was great. Stop being such a triggered cry baby
