Tell me, do you read?
[spoilers]You will.[/spoilers]

Ah jeez...manually trying to spoiler tag on mobile is beyond me!

>[spoilers]

I told you fucks chibnall would circle jerk the feminists and make a woman's suffrage ep RUINED. This is chibs is a bad predictable writer.

>bans children from watching DW because they don't agree with it
>calls DW totalitarian

I too like Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.

"this kind of feminism is degrading to women. I used to think women were secretly clever, but thanks to these sjw's apparently women are not. it shows how stupid women can be."

Ravioli Ravioli Fuck offerinioli

Has non comic Doctor Who touched on superheroes apart from the Mysterio Christmas special?

The Mind Robber, with the Karkus.

Arguably, A Town Called Mercy could be seen as Batman Begins-lite.

I honestly feel sorry for those kids, because they'll possibly end up being like that too.

"Peter Capaldi got absolutely shit scripts. I really wanted him to succeed but the writers fucked him up. Now we have Broadchurch writer taking one of his shit actresses with him...she is a crap actor. Also the Dr has always been a male...so what? Only feminists and lesbian [sic] would complain about this."

...

"Brilliant synopsis. I hate what Moffat did to my beloved Dr Who, the feminism and virtue signaling made me want to puke."

Fuck sake, what an idiot. I feel sorry for his kids.

These people have to be casual viewers right? How can you miss the point of the show so much?

I hate the term virtue signaling. It's saying "I don't believe in what they're saying, so they definitely don't either, they're just pretending to be a good person for brownie points!"

In the 60s and 70s I fully supported the EQUALITY of women while supporting the idea that the genders are different, with their own strengths and weaknesses. All well and good, Over the past few years feminism seems to be about reversing roles to the detriment of men, especially white heterosexual men.
The new/third wave feminists attack western values, the very ones they rely on for their own well-being, while ignoring child brides, female genital mutilation, sex slavery, the real reasons for the burkha, the lack of rights for women, especially in moslem countries, because then they would have to actually make an effort and risk a backlash. Third wave feminists come across as ill educated bigots with very little knowledge of experience of the real world, especially outside their own liberal SJW bubble.
Good video. I don't question the option of having a female Doctor, but the reasons behind why it happened. The series is well known for having many strong female characters, right from the early years. There's Astrid in Enemy of the World, one of my personal favourites, The Drahvins, Romana, Zoe, The Rani. That a Time Lord can regenerate into the opposite sex is a legitimate idea, especially since the Time Lords were given prominence in the Tom Baker years. But is it necessary to alienate so many fans in the name of "equality"?
If the BBC really wnated to do something worthwhile, they could have gone ahead with a spin-off with Sarah Moffat as the Doctor's Daughter, or a series featuring the Rani, or River Song. But no, that was too easy and sensible.
I've already had my fill of homosexuality and lesbianism, not to mention the very distasteful idea of sex between humans and Timelords (do they even have the same plumbing as us?)...."

I hate the "if they wanted a female character like the Doctor they should've just made their own show!" meme so much.

>letting the state dictate your child's political exposure instead of raising the kid yourself
>not being able to watch a TV show is indistinguishable from totalitarianism
This is why people laugh at leftists. You're in hysterics about everything.

How in all of this garbage are you managing to pull "you leftists are idiots" out of your ass?

> "Human progress isn't measured by industry, it's measured by the value you place on a life. An unimportant life. A life without privilege. The boy who died on the river, that boy's value is your value. That's what defines an age. That's what defines a species." - The Doctor

They must be either casual viewers or incredibly thick to miss stuff like above.

Its just a new buzzword conservatives starting using the last year or so.

>implying totalitarianism is a bad thing
Good goy!

Doctor Who is dead.

>hurr durr I'm too stupid to make a connection between the greentext and the black text
>wtf wHy are you calling me an idioT??
Observe the leftist in its natural habitat, proving my point by continuing to be retarded.

Gareth, don't you have more important things to be doing like having Clayton give you your daily back roll massage?

...

>It's saying "I don't believe in what they're saying, so they definitely don't either, they're just pretending to be a good person for brownie points!"
Except it only refers to the broadcasting of a trendy opinion for brownie points and has nothing to do with whether they believe what they're virtue signalling about or not.

What's it like living life eternally angry at your own personal strawman? When was the last time you were outside, user? Go out, get some air, make some friends. It's good for you, y'know.

Good thing they believe the stuff they say and they're not doing it because it's trendy then, eh?

If you approve of totalitarianism, you'd love living under the dictatorship of pic related

By the way, libertarianism is the opposite of totalitarianism, in case you don't know.

>tfw we never got to see Jenna and Peter bowl

...

>strawman
Please identify the strawman in so we can all laugh at how you don't know what a strawman is.

"A female Doctor, without good stories to back it up, and the evidence that they will be just promoting even more "equality" while bashing white heterosexual males at every opportunity. will lead to the final demise of a series I have been watching since 1963.
Good video, reminded me of all the times the series has pissed me off with it's men-bashing over the past few years."

I accidentally signed up to the Secret Santa at work.
My only hobbies are Doctor Who. What do I ask for without fear I already own something? I don't think I want to ask for specific books or ear stories and I probably can't rely on them to source obscure stuff like Kaldor City

>virtue signalling only applies when they don't believe x
user, I just explained to you that it doesn't.

Who's "we"? Last I saw it was just you and the literal Nazi.

They won't end the series on a female Doctor even if it does badly because it would be implicit admission that a female Doctor was a bad idea.. They'd drag it on until he regenerated into a male again and then end it.

>sharing or even having any non-alt-right opinion is just people doing it to be trendy!

t. retardo

>still hasn't identified the strawman

What's /who/ with you?

It was your random "you leftists", user. You've created an ideological opponent that you can seem smarter than from where there was none.

>literally type "[virtue signalling] refers to the broadcasting of a trendy opinion for brownie points and has nothing to do with whether they believe what they're virtue signalling about or not"
>registered as "sharing or even having any non-alt-right opinion is just people doing it to be trendy!"
The liberal reality filter.

Piss off, child. The grown ups are trying to have a serious conversation here.

"I thought the Doctor was female this time around so the Time Lord could have babies and start a new generation of Time Lords who were better than the previous. Then they can all grow up and have there own spin off programs."

kino in the stream

Which is not a strawman, i.e. not the deliberate misrepresentation of an *argument*. The most you could claim is deliberate misrepresentation of opponent (not a strawman), and even then it's tenuous, since the poster's political orientation can be reasonably inferred from the nature of 's complaint.

For those anons who were wondering earlier if people REEEEEing about Jodie are a vocal minority, YouGov actually polled 3,616 people on the topic shortly after the announcement.

yougov.co.uk/opi/surveys/results#/survey/54be73d0-6ad7-11e7-8cde-a6b53c1dce63

The vast majority of respondents were either positive or neutral on the decision, which gives credence to the idea that it's a vocal minority complaining. Also, a sample size of 3,616 creates a margin of error of approximately 2% with a 95% level of confidence.

t. statistics student

"It's very telling that Chris Chibnall continues to remain silent. I think that the reason he hasn't done any interviews lately is that he knows exactly what he's up to, instilling a very politically correct, feminist narrative in the show and I doubt if he would want to answer some very awkward questions about the future of the show. It's clear to me that Jodie Whittaker was chosen to play the Doctor because of her strong feminist views when as you say, there are much better female actors who are more experienced and better equipped for the role. The new TARDIS team is also quite telling. Bradley Walsh, who is the oldest actor to play a Doctor Who companion, is I think meant to represent the outdated views of older, white male heterosexuals (synonymous with most of us who grew up with the classic series," >implying classic DW fans are straight

"against a backdrop of a new, young and hip female Doctor and her (very probably non-heterosexual) hip ethnic minority friends. I could be wrong, but this politically correct movement has now become so predictable and so transparent it's not difficult to see what's on the horizon. I fully expect series eleven of Doctor Who to be anti-male, anti-heterosexual and pro-minority groups, who of course can do no wrong."

I'm a progressive liberal feminist socialist. But if the writers continually use 13's gender to make political points (no matter how benign those points are) it's going to kill the show. Seriously. People don't like forced political correctness. It's why Trump and Brexit happened. If you want people to accept a female Doctor (which is already controversial enough) the writers should have the Doctor continue to act like she did as man.

"As a history buff I know that the SJW crowd are simply the New Puritans. They will also become as hated as the Old Puritans were. If they are not already"

> kind of true IMO

>"It's very telling that Chris Chibnall continues to remain silent.
I love it when people make assumptions based out of a complete lack of evidence. Maybe Chibnall hasn't addressed it cuase he's actually busy making the show. Or, maybe he's not addressing it because it's sensationalist garbage and engaging in dialogue with people already convinced he's a pawn of the "((SJWs))" will just drag him into this muck and he'll end up feeding the trolls

But it doesn't have much to do with Doctor Who.

>New Puritans
Thank you for reminding me that this brilliant Fall song exists:

"It's very telling that Chris Chibnall continues to remain silent".

He's under house arrest?

Tbh he's probably working very hard and wisely staying above it all.

...

>Why won't Chris Chibnall answer the questions of me, a howling nobody on the internet that he probably doesn't even know exists, and to whom he has no need or responsibility to address in anyway!

These days I'm imagining him holed up in his house, writing episodes and thinking to himself "Fuck, this is my karma for criticizing the show back in the 80's, now I have to write it with a hoard of idiots screaming at me for trying to make my favorite TV show"

nice, you should make some floof pngs that others can use

ur all dumb bye

Most men face obstacles in Western society. But I don't think DW is the right place for a Leningrad style campaign against the SJWs. any anti-SJWs seem just as fixated on the minutiae of pop culture and agenda spinning as their loathed counterparts.

,,Ceci n'est pas la colline correcte.>>

2. kill it.
3. gut it.
4. wear its carcass as a skin suit, while demanding respect.

What the actual fyck?

this thread is absolutely cucked

"It's probably wrong to say, but my position at the moment is to not even tune in at Christmas. I don't want to show either Chris Chibnall or Jodie Whittaker (or anyone else associated with the show who has taken this disingenuous position of never allowing any negative feedback) any support."

Seriously, is anyone else expecting Ben and Polly to play literally anything other than minor roles in the special?

I feel sorry for Moffat for all the hate he gets. Chibnall too, and he's hardly even done anything yet.

...

>I feel sorry for Moffat for all the hate he gets.
I would too if he didn't INTENTIONALLY aggravate people. "Clara Who?", half-human, "all that ego" etc. And those are only examples from one episode! And he's going to Gallifrey One next year so he can't feel that hated.

"Wow, thank you for informing me that patriarchy no longer exists in 2017. I guess I was just hysterically deluded to the contrary because I was on the rag. It's called the 21st century, asshole, check it out. Better yet, get some therapy to explore your profound and pathetic misogyny.

Yes, we all know how oppressed you middle-class millennial women are. We all know how the Patriarchy denies women rights. Apart from the right to vote, drive, work, get an education, access contraception, be elected to office, get promotion at work, have maternity rights, be equally paid, and choose your own relationships - women have nothing. Keep on fighting the oppression of sexist air conditioning units or men sitting with their legs apart, sister. And never let a man explain himself, thoughts or feelings without screaming "stop mansplaining" at him. Fight the power, sister

War Games in the stream

Writing an absurdist War Doctor short fic, with a Hindu companion.

In reality, ordinary people all want equality of opportunity.

But the ones with more opportunity are usually born into families with the right 'connections'. Who then make the rest of us fight among ourselves.

>A banker, a worker and an immigrant are sitting round a table with a plate of 20 cookies on it. The banker takes 19 cookies and then says to the worker: "you'd better watch that one, he will take your cookie".
