I remember that the theme song was pretty damn good. I'm afraid to look it up, in case my memories are so much better than the actuality.

Don't be afraid.

Ah shit, that is good. That's some delicious cheese.

Theme song by Ron Wasserman, the guy who gave us the iconic MMPR theme

Yes, shoot yourself in despair that we don't get this stuff anymore

The mummy designs are actually very pleasing and slick.

The show has aged terribly (like most cartoons from the mid-late 90s),but it's got one of the best character designs of its time.
I loved Rath the snake guy when I was a kid. To me he was the coolest mummy.

Same. I used to have an action figure of Rath. Huge fan of his design.

Come to think of it, he might be the only good snake-themed character in cartoons, besides the one in Kung Fu Panda.

wut

I remember watching Ben 10's pilot and thinking to myself, "Damn this whole show's premise is exactly like that shitty Mummy show I saw that one time."

>ancient mummies use their magic motorcycles and jet planes
love it

also, grill mummy was qt

Not as good as Extreme Ghostbusters.

>final line of the series name-drops the title
>acknowledges that the series is ending

>THE Mummy THE Animated Series.

Wow, that's not a great title.

Mummies Alive is a 90's cartoon.

I think it was one of those "We want some of that Ninja Turtle money" kind of cartoon.

Still great.

You're right.

It was pretty good for it's time.
A modern version handled well would be the tits

Still better then it has any right to be.

A shared 90's verse comic set up could be interesting. Street Sharks, Mummies, SWAT Kats, Biker Mice. I mean no, they dont all really mesh together, but would be fun in a nostalgic way. I'd like to see some of these properties get treated as well as IDW's turtles or Boom MMPR though.
