What was Superman's role prior to the reshoots and horrible CGI?

It's beginning to sound like ALL of Snyder's scenes were cut.

he was supposed to come back and be under darksied's control? that's really the only thing i've seen. no word on how they would pull him out of trance but surely it wasn't a few kind words from lois.

I was hoping that they'd dig up his casket and find out empty. Then later in the movie they would be on the verge of being defeated by Steppenwolf only to be rescued by GL. GL would win a temporary victory against a surprised Steppenwolf, allowing them to all escape and regroup. It would be revealed that the GL corps took Superman's body for safekeeping because they witnessed what Luthor did to Zod. Then the league would try and revive Superman but he would come back slightly off (more or less how it was in the film) and end up flying off into the sun after kicking the shit out of the league, only to return in a later film against Darkseid and have an epic interstellar fistfight with a crazy powerful Superman and a crazy powerful Darkseid. That way they wouldn't have to nerf Darkseid either.

It could have been beautiful.

Even if it was, it would still be better than

>I'm confused
>Better beat the shit out of these little shits and enjoy every minute of it
>C'mere fatboy I'm gonna crush your fucking bones

what is the point of the league if superman does all the work

Originally, Superman would have been resurrected under Darkseid's control. Superman is able to break through darkseid's dark power by seeing Louis. This is why he looks rather malicious in the film.

In Whedon's verison, Superman is "confused" upon waking up and attacks them

You should be writing for WB

Darkseid has a lot of minions. We could have the Furies and a huge invasion force of parademons. That could easily occupy the league's time while we get a supernova-causing fight between Superman and Darkseid.

Snyder's Superman is pretty accurate to the version I grew up with. Why do people have a problem with it?

Who was the person Alfred said "he said you'd come" to?

The first version would have at least been consistent with the knightmare scene from BVS. They really shouldn't have fucked with it.

Whedon even cut the scene where Steppenwolf is killed by Darkseid for failing. Why the fuck would he cut that?

Supes.

And it's really not hard to use that excuse. He's resurrected by a motherbox, so it could simply be explained that the motherbox affected him. This could be used even in Whedon's cut.

They are fucking retarded.

Because normies only remember the Donner's Superman as the be all end all for the character.

>SOMETHING IS DEFINITELY BLEEDING

WHY? WHY WAS THIS ADDED INTO THE FUCKING MOVIE?

Because they don't want to make JL2 with Darkseid anymore. It's gonna be the Injustice League or whatever the fuck.

Whedon's a hack.

Just imagine. You wouldn't even have needed the parademons in the first JL film.
>whole league is getting btfo
>both of Flashe's legs broken
>Steppenwolf standing over him, axe raised ready to kill him
>swings axe only to slam into a sudden and surprise GL construct

It practically writes itself.

even donner superman killed. Really the version critics/masses seem to want is the Superfriends version

No one wants evil emo Superman. Whedon fixed him

Zod and his 2 people army died too early, they should have retreated and come back later

wut

Superman was supposed to be revived as evil by Steppenwolf using Darkseid tech and then the entire league had to go against steppenwolf and superman under steppenwolf's command. Steppenwolf was also supposed to be more OP.

Then this entire thing was going to be resolved when Lois dies while trying to make clark remember. Clark suddenly breaks out of mind control and batman and the rest of the league flee. He sets up his base in the huge territory he claimed as his own while he was mind controlled and swears to never let this world hurt those who he loves.

fin, then continue in JL part 2.

Also he was gong to wear the black suit and this movie was supposed to have serious characters and was going to be a great snyder film. Also there were probably going to be some shots of darkseid and a fuckton of lex, but joss saw to that.

I think a really cool scene wound be one that shows the difference in speeds between the characters. Like picture Superman and Flash fighting at superspeed in realtime, with Wonder Woman moving at half their speed but trying to fight anyway, and the rest of the world standing nearly still.

hints before JL went tits up + obvious plot continuations form BvS and MoS + Snyder completing his trilogy poetically

Everything is beyond fucked.

in MoS we see his origin story and at the end of it he's barely started being a Superman, maybe a proto-Superman of sorts as he takes up the role fully. But at that point he's still unsure of the burden that's on him.

In BvS he's apparently doing it for a while but he's still the same dopey emo Superman he was in the first movie, then he fucking dies, which in the comics happened after decades of being a presence in the universe. We also got a glimpse of evil Supes because why not.

And in this one they're already milking the "evil Superman" imagery.

This whole thing is a complete ass-backwards take on the character. At no point is he his iconic self, it's bits and pieces from a start of a character arc and from the end of it.

This is precisely why Marvel dominates. They know how to build up their characters over a couple of movies and deliver a proper development.

"lois is the key" is completely meaningless in JL?

>This whole thing is a complete ass-backwards take on the character
BvS will always be more true to the source material than you people will ever give it credit for

What even defines Super Friends Superman? I know nothing about the series, aside from Alex Ross loving it.

To a large extent,yes.

>t. nigger who thinks BvS and MoS superman is the same charcter as JL superman

that doesn't exist
