I don't know how I feel about the moral of this episode honestly
Like giving up on something you were passionate about just because you feel you dont "need" it anymore? Like you can be passionate about something but not necessarily need it Its a hobby, something steven and her bonded over to. Wrestling was one of the few things amy had and its not like the crew gives her much else other than eating and sleeping, so why make her give up something she really enjoyed?
I thought this episode was sorta cute but the ending just felt bittersweet and empty honestly
So I get people saying this episode really felt pointless

Pls, Lars wasn't even the primary focus of the show and he was more tolerable than he usually is. It was a cute episode that showed how much progress Amethyst made as a character and her bond with Steven.

i found an interesting point of view on tiguer philantropist. the episode was a conclusion to the deal with amethyst and steven feeling bad for,well,being freaks.they arent what everyone else wanted them to be and no matter how much they are said they are loved,they still fill like shit. Smokey quartz was TECHNICALLY the end of their issues cause they could share it and all but the ep with sardonyx showed they still felt like shit.But after roses room and amethyst meeting the famethyst,they feel some kind of resolution. So with them both quitting,they show they are better now.They dont feel like shit for being who they are anymore.They might have other issues but the "im a mistake" part is healed. now of course that doesnt justify watching 9 minutes of lars but it is an interesting view

Okay I havet seen it yet, but that sounds like shit. Amethyst and Steven's depression or lack of confidence hasn't been built up at all post-Zoo arc. I get Becky likes things subtle but it cant be so subtle that is nonexistent until its required.
Again, little moments like Amethyst not being happy in unrelated episodes could build this up. Comes off like storyboarders and writers just get assigned random episodes that have no relevancy to each other.
And Becky isn't there to say "Hey, why dont these overlap?"
