Which tastes better? Riker or Fat Riker?

Well, let's look at the facts. We know that Fat Riker is delicious, but we don't know what Riker tastes like. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Fat Riker though.

>that guy who keeps posting the article about TNG to justify why he likes std

...

Would it have hurt us, I wonder, just to have gathered a few laurel leaves?

Have you noticed the subtle Bondisms in the soundtrack for Our Man Bashir? I think they used a muted trumpet too.

nice! thanks user

Trick question it's riker without a beard

*assimilates your heart*

You're welcome. I'm working on adding more audio books, and also comics.

...

It's a shill quite obviously but I'm not here to remind you of how dumb you are.

Oh shit, thanks man

forced BS, because Beltran was being a cunt (which is kinda understandable) and wanted a romance. Van Gogh/7/9 would've been so much better

THERBH AUUURE FOUAYR LAUHTS

>there will never be a trek show with an alternate history where Picard died from that torture and war is declared, Riker leading the Enterprise on a brutal crusade of revenge

Reminder that DS9 was originally going to end differently, but...

the final scene between Sisko and Kasidy was shot this way, with Sisko telling Kasidy he would never be back. However, a day or two after the shoot, Avery Brooks called Ira Behr and told him he wasn't happy with the scene. He felt that having a black man leave his pregnant black wife to raise their child alone carried certain negative connotations that he wasn't comfortable with.

space captain torture thread?

>war was declared

Nigga wasn't wearing any colors, they aren't going to go to war over an op they wouldn't put their flag or colors on.

Now I really want this.

It would be cool to know how much actors on DS9 affected the scripts. I know some of the actors seemed more intune with their character than the writers. On the other hand, there are also actors who either wanted to push their own agenda, or weren't happy with how the script would portray them, the actor.

I've read Nana was fairly firm with some aspects of her character and Kira's relationship with other characters. Like she completely shot down any idea of a romance happening between her and Dukat. And then you had Marc who made his character more complex, though not all of his suggestions were taken into account. And well, we know how all that ended.

>Ok Archer go into the decontamination room with Hoshi and T'pol and rub em down with this lotion but if you get wood, you're getting a court martial.

>What did you guys think of the last episode?
Episode 9 was better than episode 8 by a great deal, but still wasn't as good as episodes 4 to 7. It was okay, I suppose. I feel like they were really just pushing to resolve this whole Klingon thing as quickly as possible, almost to the point where it seemed like they never even wanted to do a war plot.

Marc and Andrew Robinson made their characters so great. They felt like real people, with all their flaws.

>Now I really want this.
Star Trek: Renegade
Picard dies and Riker goes renegade with the Enterprise, retaliating first in the pilot but as we transition into the series he orders a stop-off so anyone not willing to mutiny and all the civvies and families can leave. Some leave, many stay.
Data becomes his First Officer obviously, even though he has objections to many of the things (as a good first officer would) but stays because of loyalty to the Enterprise and her crew (and for the sake of the crew to keep an eye on Riker) over Starfleet.
Worf actually gets to be useful because he occassionaly entices Klingons to aid in the fighting and Troi actually comes in handy for matters of enemy intelligence.

Meanwhile Starfleet is of course disapproving of all this and declared the Enterprise renegade. We get a good season or so worth of marauding Riker until Starfleet catches up and they have to abandon their revenge, making a narrow escape into the Unknown where they deal with hazards and internal issues (like regret and disunity on board) for half a season, after which we get back to Starfleet lapping at their heels and finally capturing them.
Season 3 deals with their actions on the ship that transports them to captivity and the actual place they are held in a sort of sabotage/covert mutiny/prison riot sorta way, maybe a bit Hogan's Heroes-esque.

When you join Star Trek as a main cast member you get the choice of directing some episodes or more money. Colm chose more money, which is why he never directed an episode of DS9.

The only contribution to the script he made that I can think of was If Wishes Were Horses where originally one of the "hallucination aliens" was a Leprechaun, and Colm didn't like it because it was a cheap Irish stereotype, so they changed it to Rumplestiltskin.

>When you join Star Trek as a main cast member you get the choice of directing some episodes or more money.
That's not how it works.

You ask to be sent to directing school during the off-season, and the producers approve or disapprove your request based on how much they like you.

For example, the producers didn't like Garrett Wang, so they didn't allow him to become a director.

Reminder
Kirk >= Sisko > Picard > everyone else

close, but
Picard=Kirk>Sisko>lolwhocares

>It's a Data plays bionicle episode
Why do we never talk about how shit this episode is? If it was a season 1-3 ep it could have been cheesy enoufh to be fun but it's season 7 so it's just dumb. The only bad Data episode.

Sounds pretty good to me. Would it have that kind of depressing-humanity that we see in BSG? Because I was getting BSG vibes from it.

Riker going renegade mode would be pretty cool. I bet he could pull it off pretty well. He would finally get to be captain, and it would be neat to see him in that role.

I would like to see Data in that type of role. Loyal to the crew, but still a Starfleet officer. I bet he would have to make some interesting decisions.

I'm guessing the Maquis would align themselves with the renegade crew. Could lead to some interesting interactions.

Thanks for the post, sounds pretty cool!

What does fat Riker taste like?

Yeah, some people said they liked it because Spiner got to act as something besides an android. I didn't like it though. I'm a big Data fan, but I zone out of that episode on re-watches.

Omg this stupid fucking goblin voice spiner does

>Time's Arrow blew
How can you hate on such wonderful Trekino?
That Fedora is too big for your head.

No one said that but OK

>we need the captain of the flagship of the federation AND his fragile doctor to put on ninja suits and infiltrate a secret moonbase
>we can't actually spare any security operatives/covert ops infiltration specialists for this assignment
it was a pretty stupid setup Tbh

>it was a pretty stupid setup Tbh
But Picard had a very specific backgound in metagenics, same with Beverly, and they had WORF of all people.
I liked it.

Why did they need anyone with a "background in metagenics"? Just tell your operatives to destroy anything that looks even remotely like biological research or weapons. You don't need to do an analytical scientific experiment and triple check the results when it's a time-sensitive mission and you need to plant bombs and be out of there in 5 minutes. Worf ALMOST makes sense given that he's a combat specialist, but it's still absurd to pull the security officer off a starship and send him on a mission when you have the entirety of starfleet special ops at your disposal.

I say Kirk=Picard=Sisko>>>everyone else
They are all different styles of captain, and great in their own different ways

Anyone can fill in for Worf while he's on an away mission though.
And you wouldn't want just anyone destroying a weapons facility without knowing that it is what they say it is.
Stop, you're rining my immersion.

Archer was the one who helped conceive the the Federation and saved Earth and carried Sarek's cotra and braved the deserts of Vulcan.

I love the new opening. It makes the station look alive. Ships docking, people doing repairs, it feels real.

Normies post that on Facebook too. Obvious shilling. Literally no one watches STD.

same with Picard's flute. Or O'Brien's subtle Spoonhead screams

well great now I have a Borg fetish.

This.

Friendly reminder that Dukat did nothing wrong.

Try disagreeing with me. You can't.

Pretty sure you should ALWAYS be at least a lil' scared of knives, especially as a smol boi.

Spiner acts like his shit don't stink but Star Trek is his bread and butter, he isn't even as funny as that Jim Carey prototype in the time travel episode

This is now a coffee thread.

*raktajino

It would have a "we're doing what's necessary while they just sit and wait" vibe to it. You know how Picard once warned against performing a pre-emptive attack on the Cardassians despite pretty much everyone knowing they're up to something and then in DS9 we got it with the Dominion War? Well, in this alt history version there's no Picard left and Riker has had it, and from our view of knowing how DS9 plays out we root for him even though he's going against Starfleet and breaking the rules but doing "what's needed". Though Data is always there as the morality mirror. As seasons go on and starfleet and capture get involved the renegade crew becomes a foil for all of starfleet and the federation to reflect against.

Trek is a terrible show to fap to. Except for Klingon titties in STD now I guess.

I'll fap to Slave Leia over Trek any day.

Kind of cool seeing the actor that plays Tuco on DS9

Minuet looked like Caitlyn Jenner.
