PUNISHER STORYTIME
... sort of...
I had planned on posting a truckload of Punisher issues this week, but unfortunately I just don't have time for a long storytime today, and will have literally NO time tomorrow, so I decided to move my original plans up to next week, and this week I'll be posting Frank Miller's early pre-solo-Punisher-books work on the character instead.
Both of the stories for this storytime actually took place in other characters' books. These include the famous "Child's Play" arc from Miller's original Daredevil run, as well as a lesser know Miller DRAWN issue of The Amazing Spider-Man Annual (written by Dennis O'Neil of all people).
So basically Punisher is only a supporting character, but he does ultimately feature pretty heavily into the stories. Plus it's cool to see Miller writing and/or drawing the character. Would've been interesting to see him do a run on Punisher back in the day. Imagine how the Frank Miller that wrote those incredible interactions between Nuke and Captain America might have handled The Punisher around the same time. Or even 90s era Punisher when he was writing characters like Martha Washington.
Anyway, this is...
AMAZING SPIDER-MAN ANNUAL #15 + DAREDEVIL #182-184
