Kingdom of Heaven Director's Cut.

Arthropoid

I think it's implied he wants modern war

Glory was pretty good

Gallipoli

Not really technically war but Dr Strangelove

Also Paths of Glory and Hamburger Hill

Can't forget about Starship Troopers either

>wants modern war
>braveheart is already listed

I'll suggest Hamburger Hill for Vietnam, and Where Eagles Dare for WW2.

You seem like you want mostly action WW2 movies.

>he wants modern war
>Braveheart

Kelly's Heroes
Dark of the Sun
The Wild Geese
A Bridge Too Far
13 Hours

Cross of Iron

Zulu
Tora! Tora!

eric banner was the only good thing about this flick

KoH isn't fantasy, they've just skewed history to ake saracens more peaceful and christians more violent then they were.

Triumph of the Will

The Bridge on the River Kwai

Bridge Over the River Kwai my man

Fuck you faggot, I know you comman-f 'd bridge just like me

Edge of Tomorrow

Spartacus

Personally I quite enjoy this one.

The Fog of War: Eleven Lessons from the Life of Robert S. McNamara
Even if documentary isn't usually your thing, this one is exceptional and worth your time.

The Hunt for Red October

The Longest Day

The Sand Pebbles

Fury?

No.

>Ctrl + f
>Das Boot not mentioned
watch Das Boot

no one mentioned it because i have it already downloaded on my list thanks anyways though

Weirdly underrated.

Master and Commander

There was a war in that?

Pleb detected.

I'm sorry, I was too fascinated by the cello strumming.

The Big Red One belongs on that list. A must see.
The Dirty Dozen
Tora Tora Tora
The Caine Mutiny
Mister Roberts
Gallipoli

King Rat

The other guys have recommended the rest.

The Green Berets
Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence
Catch 22
Where Eagles Dare
Lawrence of Arabia
All Quiet on The Western Front

Dunkirk if you can get it.

The 9th Company

Guns of Navarone

(There are a lot of horrible suggestions here)

The Pianist is good but it's hardly a war film.

>Paths of Glory
Came here to say this.

Are fictional wars allowed? Red Dawn.

Catch-22 is better read.

The Lost Batallion

>(There are a lot of horrible suggestions here)
Might you point them out and say why they're horrible?

People who drive-by post just to shit on others without bothering to substantiate what they say are the worst.

Thx yify

It's a film that takes place entirely during the war, how is it not?

It's in the same way Holocaust movies aren't war films in the traditional sense. It's a good movie about Warsaw, but it's probably not what OP is looking for.

>It's a good movie about Warsaw

I'm calling this out. Name five films about Warsaw, including The Pianest. ranked.

I wasn't implying there were other movies about Warsaw, user. It's a good movie that is about Warsaw.

Last of the mohiccans

that movie with the russian bald kid is probably the best one ever

That wasn't about a war, it was about the eternal nature of being screwed over in court verdicts.

Hacksaw Ridge

I will occasionally do a WW2 theme day, and try to get them in order...

Pacific Theater:
Tora Tora Tora
30 seconds over Tokyo
Midway

European Theater:
Ike: Countdown to D-Day
The Longest Day
A Bridge too Far
Battle of The Bulge
Patton
