Can we discuss how Xavier's fate pretty much undermines the messages and themes of all 17 years of x-men movies?

The man got old and instead of shitting himself like normal old people, he just kills people around him accidentally.

This basically means Senator Kelly was right. Peter Dinklage was right. Mutants are too powerful and need to be kept under strict regulation.

The whole central theme of the movies, about how they're unfairly hated and persecuted because of their special gifts, just flies right out the window.

What the actual fuck

That's why the X-Men actually *don't* work in a separate universe: you can't make hating them look irrational when they're literally the only people who can cause shit like this.

i mean, he had the power to access every human/mutant mind on earth at once, so

That's kind of the point. X-men's never gonna end with mutants being accepted just like there's never going to be an actual "Racism is over!" moment in real life. Just a constant dialogue and one step forward two steps back.

He got sick because of the big corporations fucking with the water and food and stuff as part of their evil master plan

no prize plz

>captcha is click street signs
>the signs are all Xs

It's a shitty X-Men future that'll get undone the next time the timeline gets fucked.

It doesn't undermine anything because in the long run, it doesn't matter, just enjoy the film for what it was. Or don't.

Finish your fucking sentences.

Isn't Logan kind of the end of the "BADEND" timeline for the X-men old franchise tho?

From my point of view, Stewart's Xavier finale, isn't the fate of McAvoy's Xavier. They have their own story to tell.

he only had that much power when plugged into a giant room-sized computer. or with an apocalypse boost.

There are like a dozen different bad end X-Men timelines. And that's just the main ones not the joke one-offs like in Exiles or Cable & Deadpool.
There's no good end that I'm aware of.

Let's face it X-Men is a pretty damn pessimistic comic.

I was answering to OP tho, which is talking about movies. But yeah you are right

no, there's only one timeline in the x-men movies. the one DOFP created, which overwrote and erased the previous one.

No shit they were right. Mutants killed billions of people (TWICE), took over america with psychic powers, destroyed the golden gate bridge, the berlin wall, and who knows what else and are walking wmds with there private child armies and gang wars that can level nations, if a random company didndtall X-Pox them earth wouldhave been apolcypticed over like 5 times.

Doesnt Cerebro make Xavier a huge fucking hypocrite for not wanting a Mutant Register?

Also a Mutant Register also isnt a massive "find/kill anyone" machine

It's X-men, ALL there ends are BADEND

Remember in Wolverine in the X-Men when the entire plot of Season 1 was stopping Days of Future Past, and then the future just turned into Age of Apocalypse?

Being the Golden Gate bridge in a movie is suffering.

Xavier was never supposed to be "right"

The fact that you think there is a right side and a wrong side means you inherently don't understand mutant stories

On that note I haven't watched Apocalypse, but from what I gather there's not even a peak at AoA in there, right?
It's a shame, was the best part of Apo in the comics imo.

Cairo is leveled, Magneto kills like a billion people, and WMD has been removed thus meaning the 1980s peak cold war is liable to go full Watchmen

It IS the Age of Apocalypse.

*WMD and MAD

>this mental gymnastics
Hours of Apocalypse was bland as fuck. Logan is a lot better.

tarkoitan, hänellä oli valta käyttää jokaisen ihmisen / mutantti mielessä maan päällä kerralla, niin

The fuck are you on about, that's not at all what AoA is like, that just sounds like a disaster movie, not a dystopian one.
Where is my flatscan oppression? Where is my dark Beast? Where is my 1-handed Logan? Where is my dead since decades Charles? Where is my properly redeemed Magneto? Where is my Sabretooth redemption?

I understand that not all of this would have made sense in their story, but you're describing Apo attacking in the 80s, not the dystopian Age of Apocalypse future.

No that's "Finnish" or "Suomi".

I just meant the world is totally fucked. And Mutants are proved once again horrible and dangerous for like the third trilogy in a row

>core message of the movie
>your head

The whole point of being a mutant is you DONT get a happy ending or a happy life. One way or another the fact that you are a mutant is going to fuck you over.

>From a certain point of view HUMANITY is mutated
>That's why it always gets BADEND
DEEPEST LORE

Or you just have some of the useful ones with powers that applications beyond punch face. Actually use their powers for more than punching faces and getting red shirt'd.

Dude, like, wow, like, you know what?
The universe will probably also end at some point and nothing of what happened in it will matter in any way.
There is no good end, ending is death, ending is going from something to nothing.

"Good ends" only exist in fiction because they're usually not the end proper, it's almost always suggested in some way that someone will live happily ever after. Or at least live. The end proper doesn't have that.

Not really, he just got old and senile. The company was trying to suppress the mutant gene so if something he should be less powerful (maybe like Logan who was no longer regenerating)

What the fuck good does that do? They wouldn't be needed if there weren't other mutant fucks shitting it up.
No villain in the movie would exist if there weren't mutants. Senator Kelly and Bolivar Trask would put their hard work into much more important matters and might actually do more good than anything an X-Man in those movies ever did.
MoS gets a lot of shit for Clark's mere presence being "responsible" for everything wrong (and I'm the last to say MoS gets shit on unfairly), but mutants in the FOX movies have the same issue.

I'd argue the difference is that most minorities aren't born with bombs attached to them

Why didn't they just give Xavier a Magneto helmet to deal with the strokes?

10/10 movie anyway

Yet you still managed to see what Xavier's message in all the movies where. Compassion. When hes weeping outside of the casino and begging everyone hes sorry. Or when he tells X24 that hes sorry.

This Kino is truly a pleb filter. go eat James Gunn, Russo Kikes, and Bendis dick.

Are you implying that I can't like Logan and Guardians of the Galaxy for different reasons? Cause that's a pretty pleb opinion.

>just like there's never going to be an actual "Racism is over!" moment in real life.
Man, you weren't paying attention in 2008, were you?
A good chunk of white America was convinced that Obama ascending to the presidency was the moment when black America would not only join white America into a seamless whole, but forgive it.
Instead we got BLM and all that shit and race relations are worse than they have been since the 1970s. So it goes.

Sup Forums pls stop

>A good chunk of white America was convinced that Obama ascending to the presidency was the moment when black America would not only join white America into a seamless whole, but forgive it.

Nobody with more than three brain cells thought that. You'd have to have a completeblindness to the entirety of human history to think that.
