If I recall right, and may well not, Chinese demons often appear as animal head people like that. It's a whole rather different cosmology than ours.
Actually, a brave soul storytimed almost every issue, but because of the amount of shit on Weds, they would post it at 8-9am EST and it would be gone by Noon.
