>women

Are there any characters in this comic that aren't gay?

...

Was there a shred of evidence of Mike being gay before last week?

It doesn't make any sense to me

In Shortpacked! he fucked both Amber and Ethan in the same strip

But in DoA he just hasn't had any on panel love interests.

And he's not gay. He'll just fuck anyone as long as it makes someone else angry

>He'll just fuck anyone as long as it makes someone else angry
well that's retarded

thanks though

But user! Don't you know?! If you go to college it turns you gay! No matter who you are! /s

>Stupid bullshit that doesn't matter!

That pretty much sums up half the storylines in this comic.

In tonight's....ah, fuck it.

What even is this? Why did we even have that scene with Dorothy and Walky where he confessed?

Here's....whatever this is that Willis thinks he's doing.

wait wait wait...... hold on.... He's skipping class? AGAIN? Why? Dorthy fucking knows! She helped his sorry ass! Come on Willis, why?

wow, literally character regression

>Inb4 "this is how I get Dorthy to dump his ass so she has no regrets going to Yale."

but... why?

they already tackled him not knowing the subject. is he just being a lazy shit?

Did he ...fucking strip in public and bolt?

Not only that, but Dorthy took her free time and proved to him she still loved him by helping him study and get better at math. So, why have him bail? Why would he just betray her like that?

This comic is very bad.

This strip has several problems, but here's what sticks out to me the most:
>I hadta hop in here 'cuz I think I saw Dina out there.

Walky, you stupid gint; Dina was with the rest of you when you bolted. Look, I even have the last strip with all of you together.

Fuck the password; I'm gonna go play Zelda and jack off.

Wow Willis, take a shit on my favorite character why don't you. Oh wait, YOU JUST DID!

I'm guessing he's just anxious about needing to go back to a class that he's missed for a few... days? weeks? whatever the fucking timeline in this comic is? now. I remember skipping a few classes for a shit class before in my freshman year, it was really hard to convince myself to go back.

But I did because I didn't want to flunk out. That being an issue for Walky hasn't even come up yet, it's just Walky being a literal retard that can't handle math.

Why'd he take his pants off?

Obviously Ethan and Amber will notice his surprisingly toned body, forcing them to attempt to desire sex with Walky. That will cause drama between Ethan and Amber, which will in turn cause drama with Mike and Walky, Mike and Ethan, Ethan and Danny, Amber and Danny, Dorothy and Walky, Dorothy and Amber, Dorothy and Ethan, and Mike and Danny. It's your standard love Jew-star.

>He didn't leave his underwear
Ya gotta commit to the bit, Walky. Ya gotta commit to the bit!

Welcome to the Wonderful World of Willis. Where good writing doesn't matter as long as it pisses off le ebil fundies

LEL FUNDIES AMIRITE

He stripped to fool her into thinking he was raptured

>Walky starts to suck at math
>hides it from Dorthy
>She finds out
>Instead of getting mad at him, she helps him get better
>Reconfirms his love for him since Walky thought she would hate him forever for doing bad at math
>Now he goes back and does bett-
>NOPE just bails again

This is where I would be flipping a table if I had one...

Amber, Joyce, Walky, and Joe.

That may sound like a lot, but then you remember that most of even the background characters are some variety of queer (meaning not straight or cis).

>HEY LOOK THE RAPTURE!

>Why did we even have that scene with Dorothy and Walky where he confessed?

You're right. This strip just single handedly made that one fucking pointless. Character growth? WHAT'S THAT?!

Bullshit like this is why we need the Sal slipshine pic. Inanity may be mitigated with potential masturbatory material.

Every so often I come into these threads to remind myself of why I stopped reading this soon after the dadening wrapped up. And each time Im reminded that its because this comic is a gay pile of shlock

Mike has no personality besides "jackass". What makes him more entertaining than Carla though, is that we're never meant to empathize with him.

>Now he goes back and does bett-
The worst part is that he doesn't even try. It would be better if he went to class and tried to grok the lesson but failed, perhaps lying to Dorothy about doing better. THEN skipping class again would be fine, since he'd still see himself as a failure.

But by skipping class before even trying, it shows that he continues to assume himself a failure despite his sob scene with Dorothy.

Maybe we should just ask /r/.

Dorothy loving him doesn't make him any less of a dumb ass, or any less afraid of being shit at math.

>He stripped to fool her into thinking he was raptured

What about the four other people who were standing there?

>What about halfway believable writing from Willis

But it's still a slap to her face that she tried to help him and he is still bailing and not trying to get better with her help.

Well, this is the same writer who had an attempted rapist stand up in the middle of a crowd of people and stumble away without anyone noticing.

You're forgetting how he had previously been struck in the head twice by a baseball bat as well. He was bleeding and I believe he left a visible blood trail as he absconded.

Holy shit, this is 8 panels of nothing but close ups.
There's no body language, it's literally just a face talking in each panel. Also it's faces talking with just teeth, and that's irritating to look at.

I know he does this close up shit all the time, but all 8 panels?

Also, 8 fucking panels. For what Goddamned purpose do you need 8 panels of yapping? This could have been 4-5 panels with some body language, visual discomfort, or literally anything other than just a bunch of faces talking.

Was he afraid of being shit at math? Or was he more afraid that if he wasn't good at math Dorthy would hate him? Cause I thought it was the latter....

7 panels.

I apparently can't count. I blame sleep deprivation.

Still fucking ludicrous.

this is just one of a few reasons why I should just put this comic down for a bit and come back when I can binge it again. Or I guess that's a thing I should do for a bunch of webcomics, but Sup Forums threads don't make that easy.

One class. He skipped one class previously.

Skipping one day was lame enough But him doing it AGAIN after the issue had presumably been taken care of? And so soon?

Words fail me

Looks like it.

PLUS, she gave him not one but two reminders to go to class. Literally everyone in the group can attest that he didn't go.

Dorothy actually believed in this idiot. Which one of them is the idiot now? The idiot who refuses to try--or the idiot who believes in the idiot that refuses to try?

Probably both. He made comments before that he was doing it out of pride, saying stuff like "no one could possibly suck at the math I'm taking."

>The idiot who refuses to try--or the idiot who believes in the idiot that refuses to try?
The first, at least between these two choices.

Idiots also include "the idiot who enables the behavior of the idiot who refuses to try" and "the idiot who continues to believe in the idiot who refuses to try despite the continuous refusal of the idiot who refuses to try".

Willis better have a good fucking reason for Walky doing this, or something in this story arch that justifies him ditching. But I bet he won't

im assuming its just an excuse to get walky to talk to either ethan or amber (since hes mikes roommate and sals brother) and has nothing at all to do with his own storyline

Good to know Willis is taking the "Mike will sleep with and manipulate all around him, because Bisexual" angle.

He *could* do math, but it's easier to take solstice in his children's cartoons.

Mmmm... meta.

if he was the only bisexual character that might be a problem, yeah, but theres kind of a lot of them
danny alone balances him out pretty easily

Well, they're all basically self-inserts.

>Dorothy dumps Walky for constantly ditching class
>Walky hooks up with Amber
>Amber discovers he's Sal's brother
>the revelation causes a full psychotic break, but because she likes Walky it manifests as a supervillain persona
>Amazi-Girl and Sal have to team up to save Walky from Amber's other comic book persona

Anybody have any good ideas for exploiting the blue panel? I'm tired and can't think of anything

You could also take stuff from Walky Performs a Sex.

Joyce saying "Where's Walky? Oh, it's just a cardboard box." next to cardboard box with a pair of eyes looking out the hand hold holes on the side.

Despite his comparative whiteness, Walky is still just a lazy negro.

Laziness transcends all ethnic backgrounds. It is eternal.

You could say the same about liking fried chicken and watermelon, but those are still black stereotypes for some reason.

>sister is going out with a negro
>sent him a deep fried turducken and two bottles of grape drank for christmas
Just wait until easter motherfucker, I got plans.

Holy shit, aren't turduckens supposed to be really expensive? That's a lot of trouble to go to for a gag gift.

No my friend, there is no price to high. Paid a Pakistani who works tech support three hundred bucks to hack my sister's Facebook and replace her profile picture with an image of a burning piece of coal.
I got plans.

Is that guy who posts Willis' horrid pin ups still about?

I'm a girl, but here you go:

Most of the old links were dead, so I started moving things to a new document.

If anyone wants to add the full-length porn "stories" to the document, then feel free to do so. I'm invested in keeping things together, but not THAT invested.

I try to keep up with the threads as much as I can. What's up?

I don't understand why the story decided to reset when it comes to Walky going to class?

>are you fucking kidding me
>he's a white male

Willis tried to make it seem that way when the math stuff was revealed, but there's no basis. Dorothy initially thought Walky was an idiot, and was still fine interacting with him because of the emotional support.

His school smarts were never part of his attractiveness to Dorothy. Their shared interests, Walky's emotional support, his availability as someone to hang out and goof off with, and his hot bod, are why she likes him.

And yeah, I think this is a pretty shitty thing for Walky to do after they had that heartfelt reveal. I can get that it may be hard, but there's been no focus on Walky's indecision or trepidation, he just skipped as soon the idea was brought up, seemingly out of nowhere. This makes it feel like yesterday's strips just didn't matter to him at all.

Willis could've really improved this by just showing Walky's indecision before hand.

I feel dirty for chuckling at the idea.

But everything else is shit

Is it just me or does Dina have an exceptional ass?

>the gay character doesn't look gay outside of who he is dating

Is that what you are compalining about? I thought this is something Sup Forums wanted.

>Willis tried to make it seem that way when the math stuff was revealed, but there's no basis. Dorothy initially thought Walky was an idiot, and was still fine interacting with him because of the emotional support.
Isn't that kind of the point? I mean, IT's clear Walky's own insecurity was making him thing his incompetence would made Dorothy leave him, but how she reacted to learning that pretty much confirmed that it was all Walky's crazy scenario.

You know a character can have unbased fears, right?

Clearly, he refuse to face difficulty. His fear of "what would Dorothy think if she learn I am an idiot" was just an other façade as pointed out there I have been in Walky's place to. To actually face hardship for the first time, way later than any other and not actually know if your hard work will actually make you succeed is all pushing you toward pureposely fail, because that way , you can't actually know if you would have succeed if you really tried.

You can keep living in this little fantasy that "If I really tried, I could succeed", the fear to have that last illusion shattered is one of the biggest roadblock to pass over.

>he just skipped as soon the idea was brought up, seemingly out of nowhere.
Trust me, as a class skipper, you don't need much to be "motivated" to do so. The simple suggestion, a cloud in the sky, that new episode that came out and that you want to stream now. Anything will do the trick, with a good oll "I can start doing thing seriously tomorrow" to cement it.

Anything rather than going back to the classes you have skipped since weeks and that make you face how far behind you really are.

I'd be fine with it being a fear, but I think it should've come up before the big reveal. Here Joyce mentions it, and Walky doesn't have any real response. He's upset but not actually shaken, like to the degree Joyce was shaken when warned Dorothy would be upset about her trying to change Ethan.

Also
>He's so afraid of disappointing Dorothy to the point that she leaves him
>Instantly skips class after he finds out she explicitly wants him to go
Doesn't follow.

I think is a better encapsulation of what's happening. And I still think Walky could've used some lead in to trying to skip again to show his emotional state.

Just even a strip of him having to psyche himself up to go to class using Dorothy's great tutoring as a basis, would've showed that he's struggling. The way he's doing it really comes off as goofy and crass, rather than him going through a crisis.

>Just even a strip of him having to psyche himself up to go to class using Dorothy's great tutoring as a basis, would've showed that he's struggling
user, current strip IS showing us that. Not everything need to spelled. especially has the tiemlapse is really slow in DoA, no need to be any olonger when it can be to the point.

Not to mention, it's a clear case of "character acting strange but we get the explanation for his motivation later".

>Just even a strip of him having to psyche himself up to go to class using Dorothy's great tutoring as a basis, would've showed that he's struggling.
As pointed out thereHe doesn't even want to know if he would be struggling.

It'd be nice if we could actually see that ourselves, though. Willis set up Walky as beginning to overcome his issue with the help of Dorothy; but by refusing to have him change, Willis is just making him look like a complete nonce. And I don't even know what "nonce" means.

Meanwhile, in the comments section for , even Cerberus agrees that boning Mike is a bad decision:

>Amber notwithstanding, banging Mike would be one of the worst decisions shown in this comic, ranking just beyond “spending any time with Mike at all” and somewhat under “fired a gun on a university campus”.

In other news, turns out there's an "F-Bomb Counter" somebody's set up: ci-n.com/~jcampbel/doafbombcount.php

I meant struggling with the decision of whether to go to class, not struggling in the class itself.

And I don't think this strip shows that at all given how detached he's acting. He's way less stressed out than the last time he skipped, despite the extra baggage of explicitly letting down Dorothy

It all comes off extremely incongruous to me with the revelation with Dorothy where he was crying.

And while I'm sure the motivation will be revealed later, since it's regressive behaviour, I'd rather just see him regress linearly and have some hints of his emotional state and motivations. I doubt the reasons are going to be that new or interesting, anyway so it's not going to be a satisfying reveal. Actual proper characterization instead of extreme goofiness would be way more enjoyable for me.

You know, this particular pic always confused me.

Willy obviously has this idea that he's a champion of SJW values, especially when it comes to what he'll use to make some bank, but there's quite a few problems I can see people having with this one:

>Forcing a character to make out with someone who gives her PTSD and triggers her
>Warping characters' sexuality for the sake of someone getting a sexual thrill out of it
>Exploiting lesbianism for a fetish

I think he just shrugs it off by saying "It was a commission through Kickstarter; don't blame me!".

That's probably how he tries to shrug off most things in his life. "It's not me; my hand was forced. Don't blame me; I had nothing to do with it."

You're overthinking a crack pairing, user. Settle down.

Nuclear explosion.

Would work best without the final panel

It's not that I'm overthinking it, it's that I find it odd he didn't think he was going to trigger his overly-delicate audience with it.

>Walky Performs a Sex.

That's not how words work, Willis.

I laughed, sue me.

You're a special sort of racist, aren't you? Why don't you go back to Sup Forums and leave comics to actual humans?

>Exploiting lesbianism for a fetish
Surely not from David "Make Everyone Lesbians" Willis!

His overly delicate audience were the ones who commissioned them.

Considering how small and slim she is, that'd be an amazing looking ass.

>Considering how small and slim she is, that'd be an amazing looking ass.
Wait until you see the top of her head.

Becky being so repressed during her childhood she developed an bunch of attachment, boundary, and sexual issues wouldn't be bad direction to take the character and would fit in nicely with what we've see so far.

I guess I'm kind of annoyed that he still went with one of the standard bisexual archtypes. That we'll sleep around with whoever or whatever. Guess it's better than being portrayed as strange and non-existent, like unicorns or pegasus.

That said, Bi is worth significantly less points than other demographics in the internet cred game, so he has load up on them in bulk.

"Someone else wanted me to do it" and "My Religious Midwest Childhood" seem to be his go-to excuses when someone brings up his double standards in his writing and art.

That will never, ever, not be hilarious for so many reasons.

I still have no idea these two are supposed to be friends are not. It's like watching those clips of Big Bang without the laughter. It just comes off as people who despise each other making constant petty snipes.

The sad thing is that this is actually a pretty good joke that has to be stapled to shitty characterization.

I wouldn't say it's good, it's an easy joke and it works though. I think it would have been better served as a running gag where Joyce's friends tease her by claiming it's the Rapture whenever someone leaves their clothes on the floor.

>It all comes off extremely incongruous to me with the revelation with Dorothy where he was crying.
Because now he knows that she will love him anyway. He thinks he can get away with whatever.

So Walky is a complete piece of shit?

What the fuck.. is this how WIllis has sex? is this how he thinks it works?

He's never NOT been one.
