>5 years ago >happily married and producing movies >win Oscar for best director >get casted as one of the most popular characters in the world
>A few years later >fall back into alcohol and gambling >wife leaves your sorry ass and takes the kids >biggest movie of your career is trashed by critics
>A year ago >one of your closest friends is outed as a sexual predator >get treated like a criminal for taking a prop >latest film turns out to be a massive flop
When did everything go so wrong?
Charles Price

There was a time above... a time before... there were perfect things... diamond absolutes. But things fall... things on earth. And what falls... is fallen.
Oliver Morgan
It's quite funny to be honest.
William Perez

Not even his first time being a pariah. Gigli was a rough time for Ben. I bet he thought he was out when he got that Oscar, but the story wouldn't be complete if he didn't ultimately end up back at "rags".
James Wright
So Argo saved his career?
Nolan Barnes
Islam not even once
Angel Martinez
i wouldn't be surprised if he gets arrested or commits suicide
James Hill
I wouldn't say that. The late 2000s were basically his glow up period, winning an Oscar is something that should cement one's status as an A-lister, so following down again must hurt a lot.
Alexander Fisher
more like the cherry on top, Gone Baby Gone and The Town were well received.
To be fair I don't think everything is terrible for him now. Gone Girl was a hit and the Accountant is getting a sequel. And once he gets a Batman movie without any Snyder touches it'll probably get good reviews.
Jackson King
If he can start off fine, sink, rise up and now fall down again....wouldn’t that mean Ben still couldn’t make another comeback.
Aiden Johnson
>once he gets a Batman movie without any Snyder touches
That's not happening though.
Xavier Cook
sure it isn't
Charles Lopez
Is Ben the most Punished actor in Hollywood right now?
Owen Williams
He doesn't even look like himself anymore. I refuse to believe that it's only age and alcohol that managed to change his face so suddenly. There were only few months between JL shoot and reshoots and he literally looks 20 years older in Whedon's scenes, it was distracting.
Julian Cook
>your brother is outed as a sexual predator >you're getting fat >the media shit on you on a daily basis
James Johnson
Pretty sure there are many doing worse.
Ryan Parker
He clearly had his face touched up between BvS and JL too
Oliver Moore
He never received an Oscar for best director, not even a nomination
