This movie had exactly ONE (1) cool cinematic moment
And it was when they opened the airlock in space and all the moisture on the hangar instantly crystallized and made the air shimmer
kek what a fucking pleb
he lost it

No fucking way that's real.
I had no idea capeshit was so atrocious.
It's hard to think of something worse than snap zooms like that. Lens flare is close
Christopher Doyle is too good.
>lens flare is bad
for extremely mediocre cinematography, see Villenueve/Deakins.
who came on brando
>t. Nolan/Wallyfag
Villenueve IS literally Nolan, with more competent action scenes and less awkward dialogue. Other than that, their flicks re 99% the same: gimmicky/pseudointellectual.
>pseudointellectual
That's Inarritu

Isn't that Zack Snyder's trademark?

Light is a huge part of his style

I should make some Fallen Angels and 2046 webms
light is cinematography, dude
I watched In the Mood for Love yesterday and it was absolute kino. Ez 9/10
still unmatched to this day
it would be sexy
Lens flare is a thousand times better than the snap zoom you doublenigger
What do you think is his best movie?
I've only seen Chung King and ITMFL so far. ITMFL was way better than Chung King though.
I haven't seen all of his stuff but Fallen Angels affects me
I have a similar dad to the mute
I'd rather have an auteur like znyder making movies that might have weird stories and dialogue rather than bland, forgettable stuff. At least he tries to make his movies visually interesting.
if you haven't seen In The Mood for Love I'd definitely recommend it.
Besides maybe some choppy editing in the beginning its extremely good. The cinematography, the music, the acting, and the story: a fantastic love story with a great ending too.
Yeah basically
I've gotten to the point where I'm more interested in the aesthetic and if a movie makes me feel anything where I don't give a shit about what actually "happens"
not a big fan of ITMFL, I've found it pretty boring, and the fact that the cinematography is not entirely Dotyle's work is shown imo, it's just too much stilted for me. I prefer his more energetic handheld work, and I would go with happy together since bromance and gay shit is WKW's real interest. My favourite Doyle movie is Away with words, that movie is just so fucking comfy

No that's the actual Avengers 2
The movie is loaded with fucking terrible moments
almost as bad as Civil War

Just imagine if a beloved family member died irl because of some asshole and then michael bay makes a shitty movie about it poking fun at the situation.

Pain and Gain was one of the greatest satires of the 21st century you punk
whats this from
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Thanks. I've never seen it because I always thought it's just another slasher, nothing special.
It's really pretty tame for how it pioneered the genre to what it's become

how didnt i know this existed, looks like a whole movie of the tree of life creation sequence
Pretty much
pretty average documentary judging by reviews. looks gorgeous tho
I hate how well-received this was when MoS, SS and BvS got shit on
It's like Samsara, Baraka and the like with how it doesn't really have much dialogue or narration, but it certainly follows a sort of story from the beginning to the end of the universe. It's pretty good.
What the fuck
