/doag/ - "Dumbing of Age, G."

Dumbing of Age: I Can't Think Of A Clever Title Edition.

Today, we learn that Becky will be entirely at fault for her inevitable removal from campus grounds. Tomorrow, we will learn nothing.

Whelp, we learn that Dina is excited about being sexually intimidating, so that's a thing.

And Amber has entered a sarcastically suicidal mood because too many people have been friendly with her today.

I, for one, welcome the arrival of Dina "Sexual Tyrannosaurus" Saruyama. May her lovemaking be merciless and brutal.

>not so careless

didn't she just blurt out her her squatting secret to the whole floor and RM 10 minutes ago?

That was a case of off-panel blindness.

Dina: Sexual Tyrannosaurus .

My eagerness for a slipshine with the sexual tyrannosaurus is somewhat blunted by the fact that we'll probably also find ourselves seeing Becky naked in all of Willis' awkwardly drawn terror.

Willis isn't enough of a man to handle the Sexual Tyrannosaurus, we're going to have to do this ourselves.

I wouldn't mind seeing something cute and sweet with them either, considering neither of them should have much knowledge about sex.

Too bad Becky's just using her.

I wonder how much those huge chairs weigh? Not that it would matter to a superhuman like Amber, of course.

Depends on how they're constructed.

This would actually be a funny joke if they didn't devote half the previous panel to hammering it in

WE WERE PROMISED SAL LEWDS, DAMMIT

Come on, user from the previous thread, fucking deliver

'Rescued her'? The way I remember it, Amazi-Girl certainly chased after her. And then got caught, nearly got hit by a truck, and had to be rescued by her worst enemy.

Wait, is Dina ditching class ? She was with the group when they were going to class, teleported in the hall to see Walky (or followed him, but that wouldn't make much more sense) and is now going in her room to study. So yeah, doesn't she have class ?

She's not in their math class, she has a free period when Sal, Walky, Joyce,Mike and Billie have math. They just walk together because they're friends. Except Mike, who they all can't stand, who just tags along for no reason.

>Amber getting this rekt by Dina
I'm starting to become a Dina fan, too.

I wonder if there's anything to the idea that the petite Dina's newfound sexual confidence is being laughed at by noted buxom shortstack Amber "Hugs Bosom" O'Malley in a panel where her amazing cleavage isn't obscured at all. It almost seems like it's on purpose but I don't want to give Willis that much credit.

Also it reminds me of sexually aggressive Shortpacked! Amber, which was great. but mostly because she was eating Robin's proverbial lunch.

>Dina and Becky should know nothing about sex
>but their Slipshine will show them practically being experts

This. In fact, Amazi-Girl possibly made the situation worse by damaging the vehicle of a bystander, which could have led to a larger pile-up.

First Joyce and now Amber. What is it with Willis and cleavage all of a sudden? Hell, it's fall, so everybody should slowly be bundling up, not dressing down.

>First Joyce and now Amber. What is it with Willis and cleavage all of a sudden? Hell, it's fall, so everybody should slowly be bundling up, not dressing down.
It might be a nice day out. You could show that by having them eat outside or do some sort of outside activity, but there is no time for anything but dumb drama at school.

A Slipshine might actually be likely, even the commentors on his site want it.

Official lewds with Dina, then Joyce, and I'd actually be able to quit this shitfit.

DAMN IT MAN, I HAVE A JOB! I CAN'T JUST SIT AROUND ALL DAY WRITING LEWDS!

But yeah, I'm working on it.

I just want the new Danny/Amazi-Girl one and the gay one.

Maybe Mike has all night classes.

do not sexualize the Dina

Godspeed, user.

I had an idea for some Mary/Dina fic, but I'm much more lazy...

>I CAN'T JUST SIT AROUND ALL DAY WRITING LEWDS!
You could if you made that your job.

Imagine.

What was your idea?

Unless you're willing to support me, I doubt it.

I'd say getting a Dina Slipshine sooner rather than later is a lot more likely than we thought.

Willis is almost calling out people who don't want to think of her as a sexual being in this comic.

It was equal parts character study of Mary and hardcore smut of her seducing Dina.

I was bouncing a few ideas around, mostly styled after ideas other anons with had come up in these threads (so if you happen to be those anons, thanks for the brain fodder): firstly, that Mary wears the bands to cover up scars and she turned to hardcore Christianity not as a coping mechanism for self-harm, but also in part as rebellion against douchey, overbearing regressive left parents. I'm loathe to go to Willis' well of 'parents are bad', I'm only dipping in to it for spite, to show that it's not only the right-aligned that can be dipshits. Mary would be bi, but she'd repress non-straight side of her sexuality. Both out of belief that a "good Christian" girl wouldn't think like that and both from experience. Maybe one of her parents' friends is an extreme political lesbian and she's afraid of seeing herself become that. Whatever the reason, there's a lot of self-loathing there that she's trying to work through and it leads her to lash out at those around her. 'No one hates others more than those who hate themselves' kind of thing.

Anyways, that's the backstory. The fic itself would start with them having sex. Not sure it if would be Mary outright domming Dina, or as a reaction to 'sexual tyrannosaurus', we'd see Mary letting Dina ravish her for once and from there, we'd get to see how they got to this point.

Not that we'd be seeing it. Seems like we're plum outta Pornanons.

I think a Dina Slipshine might just finally tip someone's wallet to put up the $30 for the greater good. Hell, I'd consider it.

What the fuck happened to the "you're probably just a rebound, dina/I know" foreshadowing? why even have that exchange way back when if it wasn't going to lead into conflict?

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks so.

Maybe that will get referenced in a few years.

>why even have that exchange way back when if it wasn't going to lead into conflict?
Willis probably chickened out because he was afraid that people wouldn't like it.

Maybe Dina internalized that she's a rebound, so now she won't feel so guilty about just using Becky for sexual.

Maybe Dina will even push Becky into it before she's really ready, and Willy will shock the fans by having Dina make a heel turn.

What the fuck happened to the "you're probably just a rebound, dina/I know" foreshadowing? why even have that exchange way back when if it wasn't going to lead into conflict?

>Willis probably chickened out because he was afraid that people wouldn't like it.

To be fair, the pacing of DoA means this might not have been left on the curb. A week DoA is a real-time year, so it if it does come up again, then I'd expect it to in a few months to a year or two.

Now, just let me turn up my cynicism knob here... there we go.

That being said, I'm not sure it's likely to happen, or even matter if it does. Most likely? It's forgotten about, passed off as a moment of doubt from the socially awkward Dina, inspired by the misanthropic Sarah, who were wrong to speak ill of Becky.

Willis has said the universe will bend to get Becky what she wants. Because he's a shitty writer and because he thinks it's sticking it to everyone who doesn't like Becky. Because if Becky really is just using Dina for a rebound, that's bad. It means Becky has done a Bad Thing! Becky can't do Bad Things! Only Good Things for Becky! So it will either end up being tru luv - or at least as much as the first crush during the first year of college can be, but since we'll never get past that year, we'll never see if it is or not - or Becky will fall for someone else, Dina will be hurt for approximately half a strip (can't end things on a downer, or leave the audience Becky dun wrong!) only to realize that she needs to let Becky go and be a free lesbian and this is the right and proper thing and everyone's all happy and smiles about it, because Becky only gets Good Things.

I'm fine with it being dropped. The "rebound" concept can be a pretty toxic idea that alters how participants see relationships and sets them up for failure. Besides, even if someone starts dating to get their mind off another person, what's stopping the relationship from becoming sincere?

I'm just as peeved as the rest of you about this foreshadowing, because I know EXACTLY what happened to it.

And, as was said before, Willis chickened out on expanding upon it.

Remember when Becky fucked off to spend the weekend with Joyce? Here's Dina waving goodbye to them.

Here's Dina, lost in thought and situational/dramatic irony.

Here's Willis retconning that situational/dramatic irony.

Here's Dina being lewd. Nothing to do with all of this, really, but it happened.

And then a bunch of other shit happens, and here's Dina literally pouncing on Becky.

And finally, here's this. It's Becky reaffirming her feelings for Dina, as if THAT was the problem.

So, to summarize, Willis introduced an idea, then plum near forgot about it until he realized that said idea would cause a lesbian to become sad and angsty. And there's no fucking room for drama in this comic strip apparently.

It's strips like this one that remind me just how unpleasant Becky is.

Agreed. Becky is almost an inverse of Mike: Both are complete assholes, but they're assholes in different ways. Becky is obnoxious and overbearing, while Mike is abrasive and unlikable.

Well, they're both unlikable, I suppose. Regardless, if Becky weren't a lesbian I'd be shipping the two so that they wouldn't be able to hurt anybody else.

Maybe we should ship her with Amber. Amber would take Becky along with her to superhero stuff, but Becky would mess things up, and Amber would quit being Amazi-Girl, for love.

We should ship Becky and Amber in a crate to the vertical side of a cliff.

Amber needs to kill herself already and stop ruining everyone's lives, that loathsome cunt.

People bend over backwards, they can't date because mluh her feelings. It's bullshit. Just fucking die you piece of shit.

Holy shit, Amber is showing as much cleavage as she can in panel 5.

If I'm not mistaken in "It's Walky" Dina was keeping Mike drunk to keep him in a relationship with her, so it's not like its a far stretch for me at least.

My desire to see a Dina Slipshine is tempered by the fact that Becky would be the one ravishing her.

I'd rather AmberxCarla.

Danny's gonna try his hardest to get her to like him again, even if it means him bashing his head against that wall over and over again. But no doubt Willis is gonna drag it out and keep pushing the "I'm such a disturbed, anti-social nerd" angle.

>Dina "Hit it and Quit it" Saruyama

>Dina: Do you know how raptors had sex?
>Becky: No.
>Dina: Well you're about to find out.

>Dina making Becky visibly aroused in polite company

>Joyce: Becky, I thought you two were going to try and be chaste!
>Becky: Well...
>Dina: Oh, she got chased alright. Don't worry, I practice catch and sexual release.
>Becky (blushing intensely): Dina! You're so... bad...
>Dina: You love it.

I think I need this in my life.

How do we fix Amber?

Oh please. Danny and Ethan are going to fuck despite the complete lack of chemistry or personality because otherwise that would make Willis a big homophobe and he can't have that.

Seriously for a guy who cares so much about diversity his series is packed with lesbians but there's like two guy-liking guys and they're the blandest fuckers on the planet.

Small incisions made in the abdominal cavity, followed by the insertion of a laparoscope. Electrical cauterization is then applied to the fallopian tubes.

Dina's voice is off. She speaks very formal and measured.

Making Danny gay/bi was a huge mistake. Like, he sees Ethen and he's all "wtf I'm gay now?" Fuck that.

This is a Dina who knows she's a sexbomb. She dresses like a greaser and slaps women on the ass.

One, Danny's bi. Two, it could have been done well if Willis wasn't such a fucking hack.

But yeah, going from seemingly straight to 'wow, look at him fantasizing about Ethan' in the space of one strip was a mistake. Largely because there's no ambiguity about whether or not they'll get together (because Willis is too much of a hack to consider an outcome that isn't tripe). The 'will they or won't they' aspect is what shippers actually care about, and since we know they'll get together, it turns into 'what meaningless obstacles will Willis throw in the way of this obvious conclusion?'.

I kinda wanna see Becky too, but only cuz I've developed a redhead thing recently

>Becky, have I told you how Velociraptor mongoliensis partook in sexual intercourse?
>No.
>That's okay. I will educate you on the specifics.

>Becky, I thought you two were going to try and be chaste!
>Well...
>Becky was indeed chased, Joyce. You do not have to worry, as I am well equipped to perform safe catch-and-release practices. It is a sexual release, I mean.
>Dina, please ravish me with your Bad Dragon™ Crash the Raptor™ strap-on.
>bitch what did i say about talking out of line
>i got half a mind to bend you over and fuck you up right here in the cafeteria
>now sit the fuck down before i shave your cooch balder than natlie portman in v for vendetta

The problem is that there was no build to it. Instead of immediately having them show interest in each other, he should have used the page space spent on the Ethan/Mike plot to develop Ethan and Danny as a friendship turned attraction.

Bueno.

The "conflict" is that they want to be together but can't because of Amber, but they're super madly in love so they'll express this by gazing into each others' eyes until Mike pulls his evil plan that won't work (Becky will show up and flip him off for good measure), whereupon Amber will tell them to date and then we'll get a slipshine of them talking about anal sex until Danny kind of sucks him off a bit, and then they'll never be relevant again.

So basically Amber is such a fucking worthless piece of garbage that her sheer presence is stopping people from being happy.

Good shit, user.

I live to serve.

You can still do that shit. Danny, having just gotten dumped, is hesitant to enter a new relationship, especially one with the best friend of his ex. Ethan is still working out his issues with his sexuality and is unsure about how to broach a relationship in general, much less one with his best friend's ex. There you go, drama intact. Plus it has the added benefit of making Amber a passive rather than active deterrent to their relationship.

Have they constructed themselves a literal, physical safe-space by pushing couches together?

See .

Amber is entombing herself so that she might die of her shame in peace, with only Ethan accompanying her into the afterlife as her accessory gay guy. In the future careless archaeologists will disturb the tomb in search of treasure, only to unleash the monstrous revenant Ah'Maza-Ghrl upon an unsuspecting world.

It is very unsafe. That asian chick just came in uninvited and rekt Amber.

I wouldn't call it a recking. She came into the chair fort, told Amber she's gonna fug in their room, then slipped away while whispering warnings about infantilizing her. Then Amber began to create a prison in which to emotionally rape her gay best friend.

Y'know, the standard college freshman fare.

I know you're joking but considering some of the shit that went down my freshman year it's not that far from reality.

Patreanon just bumping so I don't need to make a new thread in 10 mins.

Yeah, Willis changed Patreon updates to 12:01AM about a week ago from the previous usual time of 11:55PM.

So Patreon's get 2 strips at midnight then right? While the poor fags get 1 as usual?

Not really.

Me, being Patreanon at the moment, and all of you in /doag/ get the next day's strip somewhere around 12AM (depending on my sleepiness or vidya games). The only way you or I would get two strips at once is if you or I missed a day in the thread.

When do bonus strips drop?

And in tonight's savage scene, we have Walkerton's subconscious absolutely destroying Joyce's Fundie preconceptions.

But he'd never do that in reality. Because that's too real, and it would make a few readers uncomfortable.

So it never happened and everything stays boring.

Well I'm just happy Walky went back to math class.

>These two talking while background beard guy stares into our souls.

I really wish Joyce would call out how Walky is failing math when he's condescending down to her to this extent.

But she's too good and pure.

Now comes the congratulatory sex with Dorthy next scene :^)

I think this would have more impact if we knew anything about the Walkertons' religious life. For all we know Walky's a strict amillennialist.

Did enough readers call Willis out on the bitch*coughcough* puppy-Dorothy thing?

in b4 class is almost over.
Also, the copy-paste is strong here. I can almost feel myself undergoing rigor-mortis myself.

weve got hints, sort of. they sent sal to a catholic school and signed walky up for that church video thing

>Oh no, the datura is kicking in. Keep it together man, keep it together.
>It's just the walls of reality crashing down around you revealing the hidden underpinnings of existence in the middle of class, NBD.
>Wow, I never thought the machine elves would look like people in front of a computer.
>Wait, those are people in front of computers.
>Oh God, that's all there is!

Okay, I Just noticed something about willis and the three main male characters. There all self inserts. Danny is obviously young, idealist willis; Ethan is nerdy, incompetent willis, and Walky is willis but younger, luckier, and wittier.
Come to think of it, that makes the continuous Danny bashing really disturbing. And it does explain Ethan's whining.

No specific schedule that I know of. He likes to pretend that he's on schedule and titles them as releasing on the 16th and 17th of the month even if he ACTUALLY releases them on the 4th and 30th.

Either way, we are overdue for the first Mach strip by now. I just checked, and I haven't just missed it. He just hasn't posted a March bonus yet.

That'd point to them being Catholic.

Dorothy has ridiculously low standards in a partner.

Okay, I before anyone points it out, I just got that the 16 and 17 were referring to the year, not the day.

Whatever. He still posts the second strips late, and he's still way overdue for his first March strip.

I think the 16 and 17 are meant to be the--
Dammit.

Regardless, they're still posted well outsi--
Dammit!

I'd be more annoyed about Walky being a smug fucker if this wasn't just Willis transparently shitting on religious people.

Half the primary characters in this comic are Willis self-inserts.

Ruth: Willis's cruel, spiteful side; not coincidentally the side he glorifies to the point of lionizing her for being an abusive alcoholic.

Joyce: Willis's lost faith and the closest thing the comic has to an autobiographical character.

Carla: Ruth minus the alcoholism.

>Willis transparently shitting on religious people
That pretty much describes the beginning of It's Walky! through the current day.

Like...literally 15 years over three near-daily comic strips.

Can you imagine how insufferable Willis would be if the Rapture turned out to be real?

No, because I would assume he would drink himself to death on gin and/or tonic.

Our dear Willy might just be under the impression that he's an alcoholic since he regularly gets shitfaced at conventions.

Hoo boy.
