We'll start things off with Giorgio by Moroder, from Daft Punk's Random Access Memories album.

This one's got a little bit of history behind it that's pretty interesting. The man in this track, Giorgio, is a musician from the disco era who produced music for Donna Summers (like Hot Stuff, Bad Girls, and Last Dance). In this one, he talks about how he wanted to make music with sounds of the 50s, the 60s, 70s, and a sound of the future. The song itself feels very much like a blend of eras. That soft muzak jazz organ, the funky guitar, and the electronic beats all work together to give you that transcendent feeling. Please, enjoy.
