The comic is horrifically bad even without all the political stuff shoe horned in.
Her powers fluctuate depending on the need of the story, whether she purely has super strength and flight, or can punch holes in reality to go where ever or do whatever. She literally can do whatever to get whatever plot she needs.
The dialogue is absolute awful, with awkward "slang" and wanna be catchphrases. The art is abysmal too, really low-tier. Not to mention if you flick through issues, you'll see America's body type fluctuates between tall and athletic and to smaller and chubby depending on issues.
The comic is also painfully self congratulatory. I think it's issue 5 where it ends with a character because saying how brave, powerful and amazing America is through teary eyes.
Not to mention the fact she's a refugee WOC lesbian who can literally do everything.comes from a land of only women which is also a total, complete paradise, she travels with a trope of the most stereotypical SJW looking people ever drawn.

90´s run of Hellblazer was great. Weapon X, the whole 1990 run of Uncanny X men, Ghostworld, The Invisibles, Preacher, Transmetropolitan, Daredevil:The Man Whitout fear, Superman For All Seasons, Batman: No Man´s Land.
