Act 1
Luke denies Rey training. Rey stays with Luke any way, feed fish to a Porg over a camp fire, it becomes friend with Chewbacca. Rey has a vision, wakes up from sleep, something calls her, she finds a big blue luminescent crystal in a rock which she breaks with the force. The crystal dulls when she touches it. Luke is angry and says he doesn't know what Rey is, but she's dangerous and if she tries to leave he will kil her.
Kylo is hospitalized on a huge star destroyer, talks to a new character, captain Peavy. Exposition dialogue, I'm filling some gaps here: Snoke is said to have risen thanks to a human sacrifice, Death Star, etc, but eventually came to life after battle of Jakku. It was huge suicide mission, Emperor's contingency plan in which both imperial and rebel army were wiped out during a force cataclysm which also turned the planet into a desert.
Leia tries to contact different republic cells but only one answers, new character, admiral Holdo arrives soon with her fleet. It's decided that Poe must lead a search mission to find Snoke's hiding place, but it takes some convincing since he hates Holdo for unexplained reason. Leia slaps Poe on the face. Rose and Paige are introduced as sisters, Rose works on Paige's starship and Paige is the pilot. Then The First Order attacks the planet, Poe's X-Wing is destroyed, he leaves with Holdo and Leia on a corvette with borked hyperspace engine, they attach to Mon Cal cruiser. Short space battle, Rose's sister dies. After they leave the planet with hyperspace, Finn wakes up from coma and asks for Rey, then conforms Rose, who's crying over lose of her sister.
Rey has another vision with Yoda, who shows her that the whole island Luke lives on emanates with the force. She shares that with Luke, who now thinks Rey might be the key to a mystery he was trying to solve and agrees to help with her training.

Act 2
Luke trains Rey and tells her there's hurry, because the island is slowly collapsing under water. He shows her his X-Wing which is emerged under water and tells her to pull it out with the force, which she does, mirroring the scene from Empire Strikes Back. Luke is baffled about how easy this was for Rey and asks her who is she, he's scared, Rey is scared too. Chewbacca leaves after being called by Leia.
Cut to the Snoke's huge star destroyer. Kylo, Peavy, Hux, Phasma and Snoke are consulting in Snoke's throne room about how to proceed after resistance was squished. Snoke orders Kylo to kill Leia, and then search for Luke, which will be the last thing he needs to take care of to complete his training.
Finn and Rose are sent by Leia to a mission to Cantonica to meet with an informer who has data about Snoke. First Poe wants to go with Finn, but he has different task, so Rose volunteers, also she has taken liking to Finn.
Rey tells Luke that the whole island is calling her, so they try to 'wake the island up'. The ground starts shaking and Rey gets convulsions, rise in the air, emanate light and then collapse. At the same time Kylo arrives to the island, which we see through Rey's eyes. Then she loses consciousness.
Finn and Rose meet up with new character, DJ, in a casino of sorts, after being chased by the police for their illegal entry (pointless action scene). DJ takes Finn and Rose on board of his starship and they're on a way to Crait, where there are supposed to find their answers.
Back to Luke's island. No sight of Kylo. Luke and Rey have a fight over Kylo's arrival, Luke plays stupid and denies whole thing. Then, exposition, Luke learns that Rey comes from Jakku and he gets more scared than pissed, assumes Rey might be embodiement of the force born from the aforementioned 'cataclysm', a mirror reflection of Snoke.
Act 2 continued
Leia, Holdo and Poe arrive to Crait to meet up with Finn, Rose and DJ. But it's a trap, the first order was waiting for them already, battle ensues. Poe takes it as an opportunity, since Snoke's starship is also spotted on the orbit. Kylo feels Leia, but backs off and doesn't kill her. Moments later the starship with Leia is blown up any way and she's assumed dead at this point. Resistance loses, but DJ has a plan, disguises himself, Finn and Rose as members of first order and they play 'survivors', are taken on Snoke's starship by a transport. It's night, crystal foxes help them, because they shine in dark, the pilots of the first order transport stop by to check what's going on, assumed checking for survivors.
Act 3
Luke feels Leia's demise and orders Rey to immediately follow him to Crait. They fly over to Crait in Luke's old X-Wing.
Poe and some other pilots regroup on a space station called Valar or Vandu (didn't catch this one), team up with a rag tag group of old school rebels and decide to strike Snoke.
DJ is revealed to be the first order agent again, betrays Finn and Rose, they're imprisoned.
Luke and Rey arrive to Snoke's starship and are captured and led to meet up with Snoke. Snoke tells Rey that she's the missing part of him and tries to suck (?) the force out of her. Luke overcomes Snoke's force power with hardship, but when spell is broken he engages in a lightsaber fight with Snoke's guards.
Act 3 continued
Kylo frees Finn and Rose from the prison and then decides to do what he must, joins Luke in fight against Snoke. Rey is unconscious again at this point.
Poe attacks Snoke's star destroyer, chaos ensues, Finn and Rose fight against Phasma and stormtroopers.
Snoke is overpowered and eventually killed by Kylo, he explodes into a red mist. After that happens, Rey wakes up, levitates and shines with light, and then collapses again.
Heroes escape the star destroyer, Holdo orders Poe to blow it up which he does.
All heroes meet up on the Mon Cal starship, Kylo tells Luke about Leia, Luke is sad but silent, then says that she will never be fully gone and now she's one with the force. Then Luke points at unconscious Rey and says that she's the key to finally defeat the evil he's been fighting for all his life. Kylo looks at him in agreement.
The end.
