Personally I fucking love this movie.

It was pretty good for Sony, but I never want to see it again.

Like all of Lord and Miller's work, you expect it to be shit then become surprised when it's actually executed very well with clever jokes and good humor.

OC

Why not?

it was their directorial debut IIRC.

Was really popular around here when it first came out.

Revolutionized cartoony CG. I'm happy it exists.

A genuinely good film.

It was boring and not funny.

what?

That's how I felt about both Lego Movie and Storks

The sequel is utterly disappointing.

At least Sam spent most of the movie dressed as Dr. Sattler.

It really feels more like a cartoon rather than a movie.

Or maybe Disney just changed my perception of animated movies

Probably one of my favorites, just pretend the sequel (and to a lesser extent, the animated series) doesn't exist.

What's wrong with the sequel?

I didnt completely hate the sequel, but it did feel hit or miss

I actually adore this movie its very cute and cheerful. Surprisingly witty too, it managed to crack a laugh out of me here and there.

Really loved the sequel. At least once they get on the island. The food/animal hybrids are great.

>yfw "This is junk."

It's honestly one of my top ten favorite animated movies of all time, it's not high on the list but it definitely cracks the 10 or 9 spot. It's genuinely clever and funny and they got so much from such a simple storybook.

I think the sequel shouldn't be called a sequel.
It's a full-length epilogue, not a sequel.

I think that's what gets me the most about it because I have a hard time calling it a sequel or "second movie" but it doesn't sound right calling it a half-assed TV episode like the Disney Atlantis because it's too polished. It's a mere logical extension and wrap-up of the first movie's events but not enough content to merit calling it a separate story.
