NO.

You also forgot Best Villain.

What went SO wrong?

Their incessant desire to keep up continuity with each prior Craig film. I pray Bond 25 just goes the standalone route.

Not for many decades to come.

>Best James Bond theme song
What went SO right?
youtu.be/-0q0ilju3tU

>They rejected Radiohead's work they did for Spectre in favour of that
Wasted opportunity.

Also
>best Bond girl

they took a version of the character whose defining trait is how seriously the role is taken, and made it corny again

Short answer: they didn't recast Bond.
Craig Bond was defined by gritty realism, or at least a closer approximation to it than before. He didn't fit in with a campy screenplay like SPECTRE.

agreed. That little "twist" in Spectre felt like someone trying to cash in on the cinematic universe craze with fucking James Bond and it made my skin crawl

song gives me the chills, it's great

That faggot's love letter song singlehandedly killed the movie for me.
My favorite was the Bjork song in one of the fanedits.

>every time they burst into card suits when they get killed

Brosnan
Casino Royale
The World Is Not Enough

youtube.com/watch?v=AFIm-90hZrA
>rejecting this

REEEEEEEEE

>Ace of Bass
We really didn't need their careers going anywhere, believe me.

Nothing a handful of fanedits didn't fix, honestly. Pick your poison. All of them improved the theatrical release.

I didn't realize there were any decent fanedits of Spectre, although I guess I'm not surprised. Is there one that you prefer? I'm interested.

They gave it to Mendez who's a melodramatic fucker and had some capeshit writer write the script.

Only one I watched all the way through was Spectre Redacted. It was mostly some light trimming and a removal of most of the less effective humor.
The only weird move was his replacing Writing's On the Wall with Bjork's Bachelorette. The cut was made before Radiohead released Spectre, though, and the Bjork song does fit the sequence better than that Smith faggotry, so I welcomed it.

DON'T FUCKING DO IT THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED AFTER THE LAST BOND THREAD

Trump 2020

Everyone knows this is the true best bond theme

youtube.com/watch?v=9aHQnDTd1y4

>not Heaven's Divide
faget
youtube.com/watch?v=WFbjOlJRyBw

youtube.com/watch?v=VEcuVXMXHWc

best theme coming through

If
Trump 2020 confirmed

close but rerolling

james bond is almost as lame as capeshit, BUT skyfall was pretty damn good. And the casino one.

I'll try again another day

>Worst Bond
>Shitty reboot bond film, low down on the list of best bond films
>Weird intro with a shitty dull art style and a forgettable song
The last good bond film was Goldeneye, the best one since Die Another Day was Skyfall

Test

>convoluted plot
>too much shit happening
>forgettable villain

Why the fuck is amazon prime missing all of the Craig films?

>james bond is almost as lame as capeshit
hmm no

>Will Casino Royale ever be topped?
no

also you forgot best bond girl

Skyfall is nu-Bond

damn right

Goldfinger, Goldeneye and Skyfall were all better. Also, Eva Green is NOT fucking hot.

...

>Also, Eva Green is NOT fucking hot.
Objectively wrong.

Casino Royale is the best Bond film because it tries to transcend its predecessors and give some depth to the main character and his love interest. something that has been rarely tried in this long running series. it also doesn't hurt that the entire film is well acted and well shot.

>something that has been rarely tried in this long running series
For a good reason.

yes, i am well aware of the average dolt's resistance to well worn tropes

*resistence to deviating from well worn tropes

>It was me James, the author of your shitty screenplay

Eva is the only reason to watch CR.

>hey guys, these movies have had the same formula for decades
>let's CHANGE IT
Are you a Sony executive?

hey guys, lets make the same movie for decades the dumb moviegoers wont know the difference...

>THIS was the bond film that based Big Dick Dave had to get into

What a shame

Because the audience has never seen a spy movie with characters with depth before, right?

When I want vanilla ice cream, I don't want some NEW FORMULA vanilla ice cream, I want vanilla ice cream.

that's honestly the worst bond movie. and that's saying something really.

that is what we have dvds for

Casino Royale happened because of two things - Bourne and Austin Powers. Those two things killed the "classic" bond and they had to "update" bond.

>Eva Green is NOT fucking hot.
You're queer. You're gay. You're homosexual. You're a poof, you're a poofter, you're a ponce. You're a bumboy, baddieboy, backside artist, bugger. You're bent. You are that arsebandit. You lift those shirts. You're a faggot-ass, fudge-packing, shit-stabbing uphill gardener. You dine at the downstairs restaurant, you dance at the other end of the ballroom. You're Moses and the parting of the red cheeks. You fuck and you are fucked. You suck and you are sucked. You rim them and wank them, and every single man's had the fucking time of his life.

Skyfall is really overrated. What do people see in it to say it's Craig's best film and best Bond film?

I don't hate it, but it has weird things like moneypenny being a field agent and then ending up as a secretary anyway. why made her a field agent where you just gonna make her a secretary anyway? dumb fucking shit.

I think it's because critics hated Quantum, so Skyfall looked that much better in comparison.

it is okay, but i think people like it because it is closer to the old formula. Casino tried to be more than just a Bond flick and Quantum was iirc a victim of the writers strike

indeed the GOAT 007 movie

Production speed, forcing it to keep the release date. The goofy tier elements of the classic films. Having spectre be the mastermind of everything when there is not hints outside of casino royale.

No, that is what we have different franchises for

The Jason Bourne aesthetic and grounded plots was a step in the right direction. Having JB be a slave to pussy is not.

you're 2 out of 3. But Skyyfall and Goldfinger have better themes

>Eva Green is NOT fucking hot

probably not honestly, all the craig bonds are pretty solid, the James Bond movies are types that objectively improve as time goes on, better technology, more elaborate action set-pieces, better visuals etc

>Casino Royale happened because of two things - Bourne and Austin Powers
but then they went to far with Quantum and made it completely a Bourne movie so it sucked

quantum is one of the best bond films you absolute plebian

He also forgot the Best Bond girl.

come on, its not perfect but its nowhere near the worst Bond movie. Diamonds are forever, moonraker, view to a kill, die another day and Quantum of solace are much worse

>best bond
debatable

>best bond film
yes

>best theme song
no

>shortest Bond movie
>worst, most forgettable villain of the entire series
>lazy attempt to be Jason Bourne
>awful theme song
>crappy action scenes
>Bond never even has sex with the main girl
Quantum is terrible. I watched it last year again and its even worse then I remembered

Eva Green is honestly the woman Id most want to bang If I could bed anyone alive

rejected Bond themes are a thing?

Kinda like this not gonna lie.

youtube.com/watch?v=8C5NLfYdZaE

This is my favorite one. or the Nancy Sinatra version of you Only Live Twice.

>youtube.com/watch?v=66dflEnPBxM
Somehow the worst Bond movie has the best song

Best Bond movie, worst torture scene.

Cringe.

Brosnan
Skyfall
Skyfall

I'm sorry but it's true, cinematically Bond was always hot garbage before Craig's kinos. It was fun, but not actually good.

Brosnan is arguably the third best, but Craig and Connery are the top two

There's like five for every film.

nah:
>youtube.com/watch?v=uBvOK2ebPBo

no

>best bond film

Buncha tasteless plebs in here. Here's the GOAT Bond intro:

Alternately, here's the Cash version too:

youtube.com/watch?v=YmUriQ_PJjY

Might unironically be the worst one.

>liking goldfinger

>short
Concise. It's short because the action scenes are short.
>worst, most forgettable villain of the entire series
There is Octopussy. QoS villain fit the theme and the tone. He wasn't some supervillain out to destroy the world, just a businessman.
>lazy attempt to be Jason Bourne
It actually did Bourne pretty well.
>awful theme song
I like it but whatever
>crappy action scenes
Watch it again but concentrate
>Bond never even has sex with the main girl
He fucks Gemma Arterton. He doesn't need to fuck Kurylenko, especially considering sex is just another weapon in both of their arsenals.

even the people who made Quantum have admitted it wasnt very good. It was fucked up by the writers strike going on at the time and alot had to be cut out and rewritten

The action scenes perhaps. But the rest works just fine (provided you pay attention) and it captured the cynicism of spycraft the best.

Its not an enjoyable movie and it has none of the main things people like about Bond movies in it. I dont know what else to say

It has James Bond doing spy shit around the world trying to thwart a secret evil organization. Honestly, what essentially Bond thing doesn't it do?

it gets everything about Bond wrong. Nothing about it is remotely memorable or exciting or fun. The movie has strange Marxist overtones that are at odds with the rest of the series. Also the climax is fucking retarded: why is there a hotel in the middle of a desert thats powered by oil just so it can easily blow up? Its the anti-Bond, Bond movie

>Best Bond
>Best James Bond film
I'd argue that Craig is the best actor to play Bond, but Connery is the best Bond. Similarly, I'd argue that Casino Royale is the best film to feature Bond, but From Russia with Love is the best Bond Film.
>inb4 autist
No shit.

>Best James Bond theme song
Live and Let Die is better.

>strange Marxist overtones
wat?
>Nothing about it is remotely memorable
Tosca
>hotel in the middle of a desert thats powered by oil
It's actually powered by hydrogen fuel cells. Which fits the villain's ecology interest. It being prone to explode can be attributed to the fact it's still in construction and the fact it's Bolivia so safety permits are probably something that has been dealt with.

QoS is just a continuation of the trend CR started.
