In BVS...

In BVS, Lex Luthor revived a dead Kryptonian (Zod) who became Doomsday and the results were devastating that almost led to the destruction of humanity. Why weren't the Justice League hesitant with reviving another dead Kryptonian (Superman) in the same exact way when two of them almost died the last time that happened?

Cause it was funny to watch flash become a grace robber in his first flick.

Cause Supes a good boy who dindu nuffin. He was going to church every sunday and getting his life back on track.

because cyborg was able to use the ship properly with technology to understand what he needed to do, while lex sort of just winged it

>in the same exact way

Superman was revived by the mother box, Zod was not. Also Im pretty sure the league was very hesitant to do it. WW was openly against it.

Because Snyder needed more Jesus metaphors

The revival stuff was retarded since we saw that he was still alive in BvS. He should have been in solitude or something.

Lex combined his blood with Zod's which the computer on the ship told him not to do and that's why it turned out like that.

In a fortress?

YES

They had tech beyond whay Lex had.

They didn't revive him in the same way, just the same place.
That storyline was scrapped mid-way through production.

>The revival stuff was retarded since we saw that he was still alive in BvS
Yeah what was up with that?

Doomsday was so forced into the final act it was insulting. Granted he's not good character to begin with, hardly a character at all really, but still a good tool that went to waste. Comic Doomsday had a better origin too.

Imagine prehistoric Krypton, filled with terrible nightmarish species you can't even imagine. Now imagine a scientist taking up shop on this world, cloning a child again and again, only to send it out each day to die in these harsh conditions. Then one day it happened, the creature was on the evolutionary learning curve, and would come back immune to whatever killed it prior. Doomsday isn't something you kill, he's a force of nature you send into space and pray he never comes back.

Why wasn't Batman prepared for the possibility that Superman would go rogue? Sure, he may not have any kryptonite on him anymore, but he had to have some idea shit was going to hit the fan.

I thought the last scene in BvS was meant to imply Superman was still alive but dormant.

Because supes has the codex in his body so motherboxes can raise him from the dead magically healing a large hole in his chest. Its a cut exposition scene with cyborg that makes his resurrection marginally less shitty.

Whats more stupid is Zod's body was a protected scientific research specimen and was difficult to obtain

Meanwhile they just fucking dig up superman like its nothing special

Its a shame people aren't aware of Red Sun Energy yet

He did. Don't you remember when he told Alfred to "Bring in the big guns"?

Did they really need to shove Doomsday into the movie? shouldn't "Batman v Superman" be enough of a marquee fight?

Because WB planned for their cinematic universe to be a dark gritty counterpart to Marvel but pussied out when people complained about Man of Steel

Man of Steel made fine money all they needed to do was give Batman his own movie and do WW after before throwing them in a blender but they fucked up and now have been going on with no plan

No, he really didnt need to be. The Death of Superman is an overrated, yet still important moment, in Superman mythos. Its the kind of plot you do maybe 4th or 5th movie in. My point was that Doomsday is an incredibly simple concept, a plot device even, and they managed to even fuck that up.

I don't think anyone knew his body was actually buried in Kansas. Remember they had a fake burial for him in Metropolis.

BvS should have been 1 film ending with the Batman not ending Superman
you can even keep the Martha stuff

Doomsday and them teaming up should have been the next movie
that would give more time to develop superman before having him die, which should have been further out in the series.

Comic Doomsday didn't even have an origin until years after he first appeared. Luthor's Doomsday actually links him to Luthor and Superman both.

Not everything needs to be linked to fucking Luthor, and his movie origin was fucking stupid. Doomsday didnt need to be in this movie at all. Moreover, Doomsday is a one hit wonder that should be retired

>That storyline was scrapped mid-way through production.

Motherfuckers

BvS was many oroblems. Doomsday was one of them, and even the idea of Batman fighting Superman felt dumb.

A part of me felt like WB made these movies on the presumption that audiences knew the Justice League beforehand. It felt kinda pompous, and perhaps ironic, when they expected people to natirally flock to the Justice League just because it was a cultural icon.

Which it was, but Marvel had developed a CU people cared more about. Its ironic Thor dinkly little third movie could btfo the JL

Because Supermans resurrections had cyborg finding out about the codex and things like that
whedon cut it

Ah you mean they buried him as "clark kent" so people didnt know he was kryptonian and the actual superman grave was empty

I guess that makes sense
