My all time favorite artist...

Rest in peace. Great illustrator , he will be missed.

His Frankenstein work was simply breathtaking. None other like Bernie.

Posts like this deserve lengthy bans.

Bumping because this man deserves a god damn sticky. Wake up mods.

Fucking genius...

F

Why the fuck doesn't this have a sticky?

>comics
>taken seriously

please someone storytime Hooky its the perfect issue

Rest in peace

>not a sticky

RIP one of the greatest

We'll get a sticky soon

He was amazing. I tried to emulate his style once. It was not easy. I can see why it took him 10 years to complete Frankenstein.

he made such great and horrific work, my only complaint is he wasn't more prolific

Bump in remembrance.

Aw man. Sad news. He was really one of the best. RIP.

>yfw you only wind up hearing of the best either long or right after they die

Cycle of the werewolf was awesome. His work is so moody & passionate. R.i.p.

Fucking hell, that's a heartbreaker.

The stuff he did in the old DC Horror books and Marvel mags are incredible.

According to wikipedia, he spent 7 years doing approx. 50 detailed pen and ink illustrations for an edition of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.

Not even 68½ years old... damn it.

amazing stuff....

HE CAN'T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS!

Spewing. I bought frankenstein last year after seeing bernies stuff

>Bernie will never draw your waifu, husbando, or rule 34 of either.

How much does it hurt?

You ever have that thing where you see one image and imagine the entire series that would have surrounded it had it been a book and not a drawing for a fan at a show?

Imagine if you will a Man who make a deal with the Devil to save a soul, that same man who cursed to be bound to a spirit rides around on his motorcycle taking Vengeance on all the Devil's schemes on our Earth for the wrong that was done to him.

Imagine the pain in that man, then look at that picture and despair.

amazing

Stan is working overtime. Poor guy, his soul is going power Stan Lee for at least another month.

Jut recently bought his Captain Sternn series.

What a tremendous loss. Wrightson was talented beyond words.

Don't forget

Jay Lynch
Skip Williamson

Both of whom died weeks apart from each other this month.

I am genuinely hurt by his passing. He was a legend and a big influence on me

A truly unique talent. I'm sorry to see him pass.

Of course mods dont give a fuck about talent.

>Skip Williamson
oh fug

Fuck, any he only recently went into retirement. The guy pretty much worked his entire life, and what a life of work to leave behind. RIP Wrightson

Sticky fucking when, incompetent mods?

oh my....I want a print of this

Surprised you mentioned Ron Bass, wait Jan Kruis died? You teenagers check him out. He did a Dutch family strip that lasted ages:Jan,Jans en der Kinderen(John,Jane and the Children.)

...Fuuuuck. Not another one.

Bit of both. He was initially going to do an entire adaptation of Frankenstein, but it was taking too long so he just released a version with the full text and some illustrations, released in 1983. There's a dark horse reprint the size of a Hellboy library edition and it's great.

Then there was going to be a 12 issue sequel miniseries, but it only got to issue 3 because of his declining health.

now both creators of Swamp Thing are gone, so sad

RIP Bernie

Len Wein isn't dead

Any chance this could make DC reprint his work? All there is is the copy of Roots of the Swamp Althing, which only has 13 issues rather than the complete

F

They're doing a Bronze Age omnibus collection of Swampy IIIRC

Fuck no more Frankenstein alive, alive this is more depressing than when Cooke died before finishing his Parker adaptations

Version without the binding break.

...

F

I thought he died already a week or so ago?

Who?

this is amazing.

That was when he officially retired.

No. Mods only care about Marvel flicks.

Sucks either way.

Who wants to take bets on how long it'll take for a sticky?

Francavilla was friends with both Wrightson and Cooke. Man...

one of the greatest

...

yes they recently resolicited this, now it's everything from the start up to the issue before Moore takes over

Well, crap.

Will storytime Batman once off work.

#Bernie2020

this is why I hate death

same

F

how the hell do you even draw something like that

You said 2017 was going to be better Sup Forums.

...

>89 posts
>on the way down to page 10 already
And you faggots wanted a sticky.

It sucks that this doesn´t get a sticky, old Sup Forums would have one up the minute it became news!

on topic: This sucks so much, we loose so much great talent all the time, he co-created my favorite DC character...just sucks

Needs more fat fetish threads and steven universe threads. This thread is taking up space.

Ohno, Stan Lee got another.
