David Cronenberg body horror

>David Cronenberg body horror
>still manages to have a perfectly coherent plot

This was perfect.

one of rare cases where a body horror got an oscar

>he didn't fly so good

Idk if you're familiar with junji itos work op but I'm hoping a good director can take inspiration or even make a worthwhile adaptation, not sure who would do it justice though.

fly penis sex drive

...

I wish Cronenberg would make one more body horror movie, preferably based on Charles Burns' BLACK HOLE!!!FACT!!!

JAGGSSSPARROO?

I'm not a huge Goldblum fan... but he fucking nailed this role.

Are you trying to imply that movies like videodrome and naked lunch aren't perfect either because the plots confused you?

help me be human

Out of everything, it was always the arm wrestling scene that got me as a kid.

>never seen the fly
>pussy and not sure if wanna sit through the gore
>see ending scene on youtube
>watch
>surprisingly emotional
>ruined the entire movie now

Cronenberg is never as shocking as when he goes paint by numbers. Cerebral plots defuse the body horror.

We can only dream.
Videodrome is his best.

It was when he regurgitates acid on the mans arm to me.

Oh god I want this so bad now

best part (and arguably the only good part) of the fly 2 is that he comes back and he's fucking pissed
>he bugged me

>muh body horror
Whatever notion you're trying to get at about body horror is absolutely subjective, just like all things 'scary'. I'd be reluctant to even put the fly in as cronenbergs top 3 movies, it's pretty plain.

The part where he gives the donut eating lesson always got to me.

Martinfly looks really weird.

And its your own goddamn fault.

nice

>David Cronenberg body horror
every time

Why ? This works perfectly because of the comic medium. It would likely lose its effect if translated to film, just like ghost world and watchmen.
