Books that just don't hold up well

...

I read it last summer and found it hilarious.

Go lick some more goats, Mark.

Curious, why? I have it on my shelf, and realized I haven't read it in a while. Remember enjoying it last time.

It's pretty good, for what it is.

I read it last summer and found it not funny at all.

Can anyone write edgy as well as Ellis?

pic obviously unrelated

Agreed. Meme book.

I'd argue that many of the later stories do in fact hold up well but those first beginning issues were decompressed to all hell. It tooks #22 issues before Bendis pulled out the first arc that really sold me that there was something special about that series (LEgacy).

Next wave was never funny.

Thread is now about OP and his shit tastes.

Cops are the worst.

This looks fucking hilarious.

Agreed, we may now move on to the wild speculation portion of the thread.
Op fucks goats

you first

the light atmosphere and wisecracks get really old after a while. The crossover with Suicide Squad was especially bad.

It is, go read it

I read it last summer and found it hilarious,

I stopped after the crossover with JLE tho because it didn't want it to overstay it's welcome.

Millar stopped licking goats? No wonder he dropped off into obscurity.

Warren Ellis' middle name is edge.

Honestly I didn't find it very funny at all. It just felt like a normal team book. I don't think it has aged poorly but it doesn't stand up to the hype at all.

The 00s minis are genuinely hilarious though
