I've only seen a few episodes.
Garnet's boxfro is trash and they should have kept her old design.

Every character is an unlikable retard, and the plot fucking retarded

It's pretty good. The main draw is the characters and getting invested in their motivations and interactions. My main problem with the show is that it's too heavy-handed with its emotional scenes and there's too many of them, so their impact is massively lessened. It's a very feminine show, which I can respect, because it's something different, however, the emotiveness is too much at times. I like the town episodes and the "plot" episodes just the same. The songs are good, the animation is passable, voice acting is good, character design is meh.

The show would be much better if the characters weren't so "Californian".

Was a fun and surprisingly well-written (dialog-wise) magical action cartoon with an interesting lore, but it's gone well off the rails pandering to social media comments and taking the broadest aspects from the parts people praised and regurgitating them over and over until it becomes a parody of itself.

Sometimes we hate things because they're popular. But sometimes things really do get bad after they get popular. Because they spend too much time guessing what about it was the thing that everyone liked instead of just focusing on making the story as they wanted to make it since the beginning.

Steven needs to grow the fuck up and I won't be continuing the show until he does. It was fine in the beginning, but now he is just an unlikable pussy who cries over everything. The lore and most of the gems are pretty interesting

>Californian
what?

I just find it boring and unfunny outside of the dad who seems like an interesting and good character. He seems like a fun and lovable loser who is the only one who ever makes me laugh. The lack of consistency in anything is cancer though.

I quite enjoy the show. Season 4 has been weaker, and I think the main problem has been an utter lack of direction. It feels like everyone on the team is doing their own thing instead of trying to make a singular vision.

Only seen a few episodes at the beginning, the world seems interesting but I dislike Steven, the artstyle, and the lack of context for anything going on.

I love SU, but that 11 minute episode format really kills the pacing of the show. A lot of episodes, especially the plot-advancing ones, feel so rushed and anti-climactic.

Also, the art quality/consistency seems to have taken a nosedive lately. It's most noticeable with Steven and Peridot; They seem to be transforming into midget bobble-heads.

the animation is shitty and inconsistent. characters change height episode to episode.

One user kept comparing it to the fall of spongebob, and that's pretty accurate

Haven't bothered with Steven Universe after season 2, but why is the getting so much hate from Sup Forums now, aside from the fanbase being cancer?

Is it because of the so-called drop-off in quality that I've been hearing about for season 4?

The show initially interested me and i had some hopes that it would be decent.

The first 13 or so episodes instantly made me hate the show. Steven is a complete idiot and annoying. I never really liked any of the gems at this stage either so i had nothing to really keep me going watching.

The story finally started to progress with Lapis and i regained interest but for every time a decent episode would happen it felt like i was still watching multiple episodes of boring nothing stories about Stevens interactions with people in the town.

All the humans are complete idiots and any episode with them i want to avoid.

The constant crying by characters is so annoying its like the go to for every episode somebody gets emotional and cries.

Steven fusing with Connie is still all kinds of weird to me because fusion is presented as like an almost romantic thing with sexual elements and its just 2 kids fusing like its no big deal. Also i still don't understand how Steven can actually fuse with a human. I could believe he can fuse with another gem because he is half gem but humans don't have the ability to fuse its just weird.

Steven forgiving everyone but the person who was a stand in for trying to pressure them into sex.

The only episode recently ive enjoyed was the thanksgiving one with Carl because its just hilarious hearing Carls voice.

Shit.

Post more blue you fucking faggot

I saw the first handful of episodes when it came out and didn't keep up with it. I liked the animation and overall design of the show but I found Steven to be the most boring character. I like the concept of characters fusing even though I didn't watch the show up to the point where that actually happens

overall it doesn't look like anything spectacular, but it looks a lot better than the other shit that's on Cartoon Network these days

I don't know what qualifies as a buzzword. Anyway, when the show started, it was decent. And then the bomb format happened, where I would completely forget about the show in between new episodes. And then I was left disappointed with how the Cluster was resolved. And then the show just became uninteresting to me.

I'm honestly considering watching it again, also gonna try to read the comics and replay Attack the Light. I remember really liking that game, so I'm slightly hyped for Save the Light.

As a massive flaming lorefag, it would be nice to get some clearing up of things that get brought up here and there, more so than they already are at least.
Not that the show never does, but it does it slowly. Aside from that, it seems like a show that wants to be slice of life but also sci-fi/action with some drama for good measure. It does seem to go back and forth episode to episode, and would probably be helped by trying to be a little more consistent. Beyond that I just don't find it appealing to me. The art style is ok but not my preference, and I don't generally enjoy musical numbers in shows.
Oh well.

I don't think it's nearly as SJW-y as most people would lead you to believe, but many of the parts meant to invoke an emotional response feel rather forced or hammy.
The underlying lore and overarching plot is the most captivating part of the show and what drove me to hop on the wagon, but unfortunately the lack of any meaningful development and homogenization of particular characters is making me lose interest. On top of that the wild variance in character model is becoming more apparent by the episode and leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
I will however stick with it regardless since I don't like dropping a show halfway.

I'm not a woman.

Started pretty bad, got good after about a half of the first season.
Characters are pretty bland, stereotypical, and simple, but generally written good and consistent.
Does a really good job on keeping continuity throughout the series.
The main character is pretty likable in a sense of constant growth and determination.
Standalone episodes suck ass hard.
Decent usage of music, but the actual songs are mediocre at best.

Overall, MLP does most of the stuff better minus the continuity.
The stuff that you cannot realistically expect in a kids' cartoon was done much better by Star vs, albeit only in the Season 2 - "the deepest lore" in the Season 1 was executed badly.

It's a good show and I enjoy it.

Wow, triggered safe space much, Tumblrina SJW shill?

Have you never been to California? It's filled with things that are a lot like people but not quite. I think a better way to say it is that it seems like a bunch of city people living in a small town. It's kinda weird. Greg comes off genuine, as he's a failed rock star that would have been in place with his character and location, but the other residents of small beach town come across as city people. It's not that bad though ( depending on who's doing the episode ).

Personally? I thought it was pretty charming at first, but it's getting old now. I don't even know if I've seen all the newest episodes, and I'm kind of looking forward to the end. Hopefully it's decent.

I think the best way to see the subtle differences between the older episodes and the newer is to watch Tiger Millionaire and Tiger Philanthropist back to back.

...

he means liberal and marxist

Mostly indifferent, but i want to cum inside Blue Diamond.

I dont hate it, I just dont see the appeal for it, but the porn of some characters is great and that's what I'll remember about this show

>i want to cum inside Blue Diamond
Blue Fast you mean?

As someone who consumes an extravagant amount of porn I glance over literally everything that's English on sad panda, what the fuck are you even talking about? SU porn is ridiculously bad. If I'm missing something, I want to know.

it has become legitimately awful in these past seasons

What the fuck happened?!

That indian MILF, I dont know her name though, I dont watch the show

>thinking sadpanda is the only porn website on the deep blue web

Stop making these threads, please.

Much like Adventure Time, it's going to end about 3 years after it should have.

Character design and animation are trash. Concept didn't grab me at all in the few episodes I watched. Voice acting is barely passable. Fanbase seems to be really vitriolic and unlikable.

And it looks gay as fuck.

Although the quality has definitely taken a slip down hill, even with a stronger emphasis on the main plot as compared to the first season's filler-flood, I still enjoy the show, but purely on an episode to episode basis. At this point, I'm less eager to see how it all ends because I'm interested in the plot, and more because I just want it to be over.

too much agenda pushing in the show
every time someone has a differing opinion, the Gems are correct and it turns my stomach, knowing that's how the horrible writers feel when it comes to people with differing opinions in real life
the only difference is that they can write it in a way that makes themselves look infinitely correct and everyone else is an asshole like the Rocknaldo episode

Definitely the best for comics. I can't get off to singular pictures.

Main character is ugly and annoying. Supporting characters are unlikable and bland. I don't care about their problems and no amount of crying or irrational behavior will make me care. The episodes mostly filler and when they aren't they are boring as fuck. The show is shoddily animated. The art is ugly. Everybody including the adults acts like a five year old. The jokes in the show are awful. The plot moves forward at a snail's pace and the resolutions to problems are always anticlimactic. It feels like a waste of time.

Anything has the potential to be a good show. But if the execution is shit the show will be shit. And this show is definitely shit.

The show feels like it lost its direction. We have tons of plots lurking in the shadows (the increasing threat of Homeworld, the gem monsters that she show seems to have forgotten), but the show chooses to focus on unimportant slice of life stuff. The townies are almost completely irrelevant, and it's rare for any character development to stick with them or be meaningful.

The lack of progression has also hurt the characters, because they started stagnating around their plots. Pearl has become a Rose-obsessed OCD maniac mom, Garnet is place to store Ruby and Sapphire until the plot needs them, Peridot just plays goofy comic relief, Lapis is either angsty or uncaring and Steven is a crying hippie. Because most of these plots aren't moving, they're stuck in these modes. Pearl is an exception, because she's still slightly stuck in that mode despite her arc actually being addressed and resolved.

And speaking of plots not moving forward, we're repeatedly told that the gems won't keep secrets from Steven, and he can ask them anything. This would be a great way to get all the background info we crave. Instead, the gems still keep secrets and Steven just doesn't even bother asking questions anymore. They have a perfect set-up and reason to explain things, but they don't.

>It feels like everyone on the team is doing their own thing instead of trying to make a singular vision.
I feel that they're not even doing anything at all.
