Tomboy being gay trope

>Tomboyish girl turns out to be a lesbian all this time
>Trini a character who had a long history of dating Zack in the original series
>Billy the one character that people wanted gay is straight
>Has Autism now
>The one member of the original cast that hadn't dated any team member
Why are tomboys that go to make lesbian characters? Legend of Korra, tracer from Overwatch. It's pretty a becoming a trope not. borderlining on a problematic stereotype. How did this trope got started?

because tomboys are usually dykes

>Trini a character who had a long history of dating Zack in the original series

I... don't remember this.

Every butch girl I've met is unfortunately a lesbian, so there's probably a basis for it.

But the new Trini not buff

>>Tomboyish girl turns out to be a lesbian all this time
Wut? No. that's not the Trope.

The actual trope that Actually has been overplayed FOR YEARS in cartoon is this:
>tomboyish girl Pretty cool Tomboy Girl of the gang and doesn't afraid of anything
>there is that episode where she fall in love with new pretty boy character introduced just for this episode
>Reluctantly start to girlish herself following advice of her other female friends
>fail horribly to seduce her crush
>turn out pretty new boy liked her as her natural tomboy self all along
>episode end on an happy note of the new couple being together
>pretty new boy is never seen ever again for the rest of the show and the gang act as if none of that ever happened

If you are going to complain about Trope, at least complain about real ones.

-alternate ending
>the one dude with who she used to be though start to get jealous
>act like a bitch and complain during all of the episode
>say she is not true to herself
>at the end turn out he just want her to be happy
>turns out pretty new boy was evil all along
>they get together at the end of the episode
>it is never mentioned ever again for the rest of the show.

It was a different time user, the token black guy always end up with asian girl

You are wrong user, this gets subverted all the time.
Lor from the Weekenders had a special episode where she dated a boy. Unlike Tish
Spinelli had a crush on TJ in Recess. Unlike Gretchen.
Gadget from Rescue Rangers had a crush on an electrically charged mousedude.
Even bloody Korra dated Mako before they pulled that one out in the last 10 seconds out of fucking nowhere. The ten seconds that ruined the entire 4th season for some.

The purpose is clear. If you have a tomboy, it is required by contract to have an episode where it is clear that they are heterosexual to prevent gay panic.

I can't remember one cartoon where this wasn't the case. And therefore I can't remember one cartoon where the tomboy was actually lesbian.

It's just that lesbians are safer than male gays. Homophobic guys are okay with lesbians if they're hot, cause they can just fantasize turning them straight or something.

They tackle zoophilia too. Jason jerks off a bull.

Did you have a stroke writing this out?

Billy autistic now sys.Sup Forums.org/derefer?url=http%3A%2F%2Fscreenrant.com%2Fpower-rangers-movie-blue-ranger-billy-actor-autism%2F

Wait a minute is Autism the new transgender? abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/sesame-street-introduce-tv-fans-julia-muppet-autism/story?id=46253276

>Billy is autistic
>He is the blue ranger
Wait a minute....

Now that is some market synergy.

Hot lesbians exist in real life?

Even if the woman is hot, the moment she comes out/gets a girlfriend, she goes and gets a makeover and adopts the typical butch look. I've seen it happen many times, both in real life and on the internet. It's convinced that, no, despite parallel sexual preferences, straight men and lesbians don't like the same kind of women nor like women the same way.

butch girls a best though
